Beaten by a very good team coached at a higher level.
Neil now has to learn from this and add movement and anticipation to his system.
The biggest difference is their ability to attack space in anticipation of pass and their ability to push men forward quickly when they get a chance.
They have a very organised defensive system but are quick to capitalise on turnovers by giving men freedom to attack.

we done it to barca, O’Niell tactics – gie them the baw and let them make mistakes. What I don’t get is why Lennon changed his tactics after the Barca game, fair enough Spartak were a poor team, but has he been treating this as a learning experience?

Makes sense to me, Sky realize that the whole of European football stood up and noticed not only the way we qualified but also the colour, humour and songs our fans bring to the games
Who wants to watch Wigan v Norwich when there could be a battle of britain every week with 60,000 fans at the home games..

We cut our teeth in the Europa last season, stepped up a level and surpassed expectations this. These 2 games have shown us the level we need to aim for next. There will no doubt be comings and goings over the summer, but we are progressing season by season.
PF – ya cheery wee soul ! I’m not digging the fans up for their support….but why glorify the depressing thought of being stuck in SPhell with this corrupt football association for another 8 years?

A class (or two) beyond us. If we don’t make full use of CP it will always be an uphill battle.
Pity we lack real imagination in the final third. Sometimes KC can provide it but not tonight & not consistently. We can be found huffing & puffing against SPL sides who set banks of 4 etc. Not so easy to find players of that calibre of course.
Having said that I think our forwards could help a bit more by making more movement/diagonals etc. Too much static standing waiting for crosses etc.
