How good has Kelvin Wilson been in Europe this season? MOTM again tonight. Izzy is a worry, a shadow of the player he was.
First qualifier next season is July 16th, preparation starts now.

Lenny on Sky interview, and press conference, seems resigned to losing several players in the summer.
the glorious balance sheet on
July 2012, 52 minutes in and 0-1 down at home to Helsinki. Who could’ve scripted what was to come? I’ll never forget the night we beat barca 2-1, messi scratching his head as Forster made another save, xavi rattled, and valdez clutching fresh air as tony watt’s shot hits the net. That night sums up the romance of football and shows why despite fraud, betting scams, creditor dodging, shirt tugging, and Sevco sycophanting, football – proper honest football – will never die despite the best efforts of challs, jabba, ogilvie and the rest of the goat fiddlers. If we play the game honestly 1 day out of 100 the underdog wins and that’s a great day for those of us who like football to be as uncertain, crazy and illogical as life itself.
A young team who made me so proud with their efforts.
I thought Kelvin Wilson was superb tonight,
Hope Adam is not to badly injured.
Good night all

Ah well, my pre-match positivity didn’t pay of.
Like everyone else I am so proud of the bhoys. What a great effort. we never looked out of place in the company we’ve kept in the CL this season and the 0-5 scoreline is a travesty.
A wee bit more quality at the back and front would have made a huge difference to that aggregate score.
So proud of the players, the management and the fans tonight and all season.
BTW I hear that our first leg ref was told he wont get another game this season. I wonder if the MSM will headline THAT story.
Fantastic Euro campaign considering the circumstances. Last 16 in Europe is bloody fantastic in this day and age. If only Scotland would get its act together now.
We sometimes have goldfish memories. Izzy was poor tonight and we do have a history of balls being played in behind him when he is slow getting back from upfield forays.
However, he had a great game in the first leg and it was the other side of the defence that shipped the 3 goals. He has shown, in a couple of games in the last month, that he recovered some long lost form. He has been the best full back we have had in the past decade but he’s a better left winger in British and European football.
short of Ashley Cole, there is a dearth of decent left backs from which to upgrade. Izzy is a lot better than Naylor, Mark Wilson or Mo Camara.
We do need an upgrade but we do not necessarily need to get rid of Izzy.
Let’s leave scapegoats aside tonight. All of these players contributed to the final achievement.

Nothing to be sorry about ——except ————-playing in Scotland we are unlikely ever to be able to do other than produce some performances of which we can be very proud but which ultimately will leave us always as beggars at the rich man’s table. Sad but true.
There were times when our play sparkled and we certainly deserved a goal but as Neil said afterwards “Class tells” as does experience and the issue for Celtic is can we keep a group together long enough to make any real impact with our limited resources. Highly unlikely I fear though thrills can be delivered along the way.
Tough job for owners directors coaches and fans as players inevitably move on.
For the moment to all ————– thanks for the memories.

I thought we played well tonight, gutted that we didn’t get a goal or two for the travelling fans.

NL handled the Sky interview with humour and honesty. His interviewer asked sensible questions and got sensible answers. He buttered Sky up big time, and the panel were well impressed.I think Snake Plissken may be onto something–the usual muckrakers were left out and NL got centre stage and performed very well. Idon’t think he’ll be leaving Celtic but Celtic may be leaving the SPL.

We were punished ruthlessly for errors.
HUGE LEARNING CURVE

Celtic played like a team that can make the last 8 next season. Both performances, when it really mattered, were Fundamentally Good.
It was Great watching Celtic at this stage dominate possession at times, especially from where we are coming from.
