The problem with Izzi is that no longer goes past defenders on the OUTSIDE like he used to do. Byline and cross.Thats no longer in his locker and makes us too narrow up front. Sad but true. He is not worth much to us in a transfer fee any more .

Re: THE TIE
Unlucky not to get a goal over the two legs, as we played some very nice football.
But what a lesson in cynicism and clinical finishing from Juve. THAT is how to win a potentially tricky tie.
Overall, this season’s efforts in Europe have far exceeded anything I thought we could achieve. Some of our players really do look like they belong on this big stage. Wanyama, Forster, Matthews, Ledley, Samaras, and Hooper have all played tremendously well at times. If we do lose any of them, it will be for big money.
Now, we just need to concentrate on wrapping up the league, win the Scottish Cup, and prepare for the qualifiers again next season.
Re: THE TEAM
Some stars in there. But some big decisions for Neil coming up. What to do about Izzy? Either teach him how to cross or sell. Lassad and Michu? Look surplus to requirements. If Wanyama goes we need a direct replacement. Next season time for Forrest, Watt, and McGeoch to step up I think.
Re: SKY
I thought the commentary from Crocker and Provan tonight was disgraceful. Celtic players were criticised at every turn, our winning the league was belittled, and Provan in particular accentuated the negative whenever he could. Its unthinkable that an EPL team would be treated with this contempt and lack of respect.
Well done Celtic from two qualifying rounds to the last 16 that’s some going from our “diddy” league. Some harsh lessons over those two legs but some experience for our young team.
Well done the Celtic support in Turin-fabulous.
Now for the double.

get a few new bhoys in and build on what neil has set out as a marker
The best team won and showed superiority in the 2nd half but our spirit saw us create good chances for Efe and Sammi to add to our first half chances.
The aggregate score is poor but there was not really a 5 goal gap in class between those 2 teams.
We can improve. if we learn to attack earlier before they re-organise. Our build up can be too slow and cross field but I do not want to dwell on the negatives on a night where our team reached the end of their Euro road for this season and took us a lot further than we should have expected.

We didn’t play well, but created 3 or 4 gilt edged chances (whatever the f**k a gilt edged chance is) and couldn’t take them.
Guess they were just better than us.

Proud of the fans tonight. The sky cameras showed the Juve fans standing applauding and taking hunners of photies.

Juventus gifted Celtic with possession, defended brilliantly and
Exactly correct. From the draw I reckon Juve thought if they played tight Celtic would struggle to create many chances AND were likely to make one or two mistakes.
It wasn’t rocket science. Barcas ethos wouldn’t allow them to do that.
In actual fact I’m pleased that over the two legs created 4 really good chances despite Juve’s plan. Obviously the mistakes buried us along with the clinical Juve finishing.
Some of our players grew up and some have been found to be somewhat short of this level.
Spot on, I like your posts as you question everything like myself. Provan was my hero when I was a young bhoy, and give him his due he was a great player but to listen to the likes of him and Burley, Murdo et al makes my teeth curl

You must be the only Celtic supporter who is thinking of changing our manager. For what he has had to endure, he should be assured of the job for as long as he wants, good bad or indifferent. You are doing the MSM’s job for them and he is their worst nightmare.
Thank you, Neil Lennon, every single player who has donned the jersey this season and the amazing away support.

Why do some always have to mention the huns?
We started off the campaign HOPING to get into the group stages.
When we saw the draw we HOPED to get to the Europa stages.
When we qualified for the last 16 we HOPED for an easy draw like Manure or Arsenal.
No cause for complaint or blame.
