Shakhter seem convinced they will eliminate Celtic tomorrow. Their friendly journalist explained why to Kazak readers today:

“Before the game in Astana Neil Lennon said Shakhter play a very British style. Why wasn’t he able to find an antidote to this? Maybe he got Shakhter completely wrong.
“Karagandy’s three central defenders are impenetrable. They close down space and do not interfere with each other.
“The “Catholics” refuse to acknowledge that Shakhter did not miss a ball against them in the first leg. They think that because they can from 0-2 down against Inverness they can do the same against Shakhter. This is unacceptable. It will seem more absurd if the Miners open their account in Glasgow.
“In defeating BATE, Shakhter have already eliminated a higher seed than Celtic.”

When I started Celtic Quick News in 2004 I had neither contacts nor inside information. The Charlotte Fakes story has moved on, recent revelations have nothing whatsoever to do with Mr Whyte’s mailbox. We are now in the territory of cast iron whistle-blower information. She has her own network of people feeding legally acquired information, which the whistle-blower believes is in the public interest to reveal.
Some people in the game have had their snouts in the trough for so many decades a reservoir of resentment has built up against them among those who were once collaborators but are now cast aside. You are reading the fruits of this on Charlotte Fakes.
The only question is, while the rest of the world has a new-found appreciation of the value of whistle-blowers, are ‘all the president’s men’ still prepared to look the other way in Scotland?

A funny wee story from earlier. My Mum as my 40th has given me the present of a personalised number plate – I get to choose, so were discussing with my sister and one of brothers with my Mum and kids in the room.
I was thinking of something with BJ MAC or BJ MCA, my sister thought this was great but what number would I get? she suggested 27, however this number is unavailable , as is 73 her next suggestion. She then offered 08 as the month of my birth being suitable. I declined, with a smile but not giving her an acceptable reason, she pressed and pressed and continued to ask why not, my younger brother and myself were laughing and her her just to drop it and I’d pick something, she did with a look of confusion, we simply advised her she could write it down later. A few minutes later she goes bright red trying to contain her laugh and had to leave the room….
The penny had dropped, she understood it is sometimes bad being known as BJ, without encouraging more ridicule with a number plate starting BJ08….

Way back in the very early days, Celtic experimented with stringing gas lights around the pitch, but for some reason, it wasn’t sucessful.
Perhaps they ran out of pennies for the gas meter, but I recall reading about it.

Got my tickets last thursday ,North stand upper area 414 ,sure 415 and 416 is closed ,so tickets sales operator told me on phone.
Hopefully majority of upper deck is sold out from then, and last dash scramble tomorrow.
Shaktar was amatueurish last week ,we were caught out un prepared,and a mixture of bad luck , three of the six shots we had last week would have usually went in ,in any other game.
Onslaught from the first whistle ,three at the back at all times,and hope lady luck is shining on parkhead.
