Shakhter seem convinced they will eliminate Celtic tomorrow. Their friendly journalist explained why to Kazak readers today:
“Despite winning comfortably enough in the capital last Tuesday, Celtic remain confident of overturning the deficit in Albion (sic). Getting to the group stage is not a forbidden dream for Shakhter, it is their right as a result of recent domestic success.
“Shakhter have the mining spirit of resilience, respect and strict discipline. Glasgow also has a long mining tradition but Margaret Thatcher closed the mines in the 1980s (!). Since then, Glasgow people lost their previous spirit once and for all.
“Neil Lennon was unprepared and the Celtic defenders unable to do the job in Astana. Just like BATE Borisov, they think they will overcome the result in the second leg. Just like BATE they are still unprepared for Shakhter.
“Albion’s (sic) best managers are from Glasgow, Busby, Ferguson, Stein, Shankley, Dalglish, Moyes, but the current Celtic leadership chose a man from Ireland, Neil Lennon, who is permanently under fire from fans of the “Celts”.
“Celtic have an epidemic of injuries. Stokes, Commons, Forrest, Boerrigter, Kayal and Samaras.
“The referee is from Norway. Scandinavians appreciate a tough fight. The game is a very sensitive, contact, martial arts sport. Svein Moen will understand.
“Before the game in Astana Neil Lennon said Shakhter play a very British style. Why wasn’t he able to find an antidote to this? Maybe he got Shakhter completely wrong.
“Karagandy’s three central defenders are impenetrable. They close down space and do not interfere with each other.
“The “Catholics” refuse to acknowledge that Shakhter did not miss a ball against them in the first leg. They think that because they can from 0-2 down against Inverness they can do the same against Shakhter. This is unacceptable. It will seem more absurd if the Miners open their account in Glasgow.
“In defeating BATE, Shakhter have already eliminated a higher seed than Celtic.”
Leave nothing in the dressing room, Celtic.
Charlotte Fakes
When I started Celtic Quick News in 2004 I had neither contacts nor inside information. I started writing about the accounts, which was hugely consequential but, at the time, largely ignored public information. Soon after the blog gained some momentum this changed. People would come to me with information and views which were used to direct articles.
It only took a matter of weeks to go from zero contacts to having a network of people feeding into the blog.
I have no idea how Charlotte Fakes acquired some of her early information but, with doubts over the matter, it is understandable that the media was hesitant at touching it under the shadow of Leveson.
The Charlotte Fakes story has moved on, recent revelations have nothing whatsoever to do with Mr Whyte’s mailbox. We are now in the territory of cast iron whistle-blower information. She has her own network of people feeding legally acquired information, which the whistle-blower believes is in the public interest to reveal.
Some people in the game have had their snouts in the trough for so many decades a reservoir of resentment has built up against them among those who were once collaborators but are now cast aside. You are reading the fruits of this on Charlotte Fakes.
The only question is, while the rest of the world has a new-found appreciation of the value of whistle-blowers, are ‘all the president’s men’ still prepared to look the other way in Scotland?

Morning,
I can’t wait for tonight and at the same time I am full of dread. That mob were woeful last week, take your chances Celtic, just take your chances…
Was talking to Teuchter of this parish last night and we’re both agreed , wouldn’t it be great if Forster made the World Cup and Hooper didn’t !
Not a lot of work will be done today.
All roads to Paradise.

Hail Hail
Very good article how small country big fish are disadvantaged by UEFA seeding system, and how it benefits the likes Arsenal who turn up in last 16 of CL every year and promptly get pumped
Apologies if already posted

ENJOY ….. HAIL HAIL…..!!!!!!!!
My Dad passed away on Monday night after a week in hospital.
Too many health problems over the last decade culminated in an infection, heart problems and kidney failure.
Although he had Alzheimer’s and would forget something that had just happened moments before, he could still remember so many moments from so many years ago.
Favourite Celt ever was Bobby Murdoch…..closely followed by Jinky but he always maintained that it was Bobby that made Jinky!
Favourite players ever were Pele and De Stefano.
Favourite game ever……well 67 of course.
He had never been to a game at Paradise since the stadium was transformed into what it is today.
We did take him to Parkhead for the stadium tour as part of his 70th birthday a few years ago and a photo of him beside The Big Cup sits proudly next to his armchair.
He would have been glued to the tv or radio tonight.
He loved to hear Handlel’s anthem and there was always a little more of an edge to his excitement.
Please do it tonight Bhoys…….so that music can blare out into the evening sky over Paradise again.
Thunder road sincere condolences on your loss
Good morning CQN.
Well, after much deliberation of the tactics required tonight, which included formations with complex arrangements, floating midfielders, 2 at the back, Diamond shapes, Christmas trees, orthodox 4-4 2 v 4-2-4 systems, running off the ball, back to front, side to side, putting 2 men on the keeper, hitting the near post, hitting the back post, shooting from distance, patient build ups, first to the ball, first to the second ball, and many more considerations which are far too technical for you mere mortals to understand, I have decided the way forward tonight is much more simple.
Jist Gerrintaethum.
67 Heaven
Why thankyou.
I fully intend doing so.
HAIL HAIL !!!!!!
….and I ain’t kidding. Our best plan of attack tonight is simply up and at em’ from the first whistle. Constant pressure. An early goal and this mob will be there for the taking.
Mon the hoops……
Thunder road
Thoughts with you mate.
Let’s hope the Celts do it tonight for your dad
HH
Here we go again! Time to set sail for paradise!
BELIEVE!
COYBIG!
GLASGOWS GREEN AND WHITE!
skyisalandfill c’mon wee Oscar
First ever eh….superb. Hopefully it’ll be a night you never forget for all the right reasons.
1st person to respond to this request, who gives me a 1st goal scorer and correct score, will see me put £5 on that bet for TKF.
What’s it to be bhoys………make it realistic btw, not 10 – 0 Celtic with Forster for the first goal :-))
ACGR
I’m afraid I have terribly bad news for you.
If I were you I would ignore the weather from East Kilbride from now on. Ignore it completely, and rely instead on the old one toothed woman who lives along the road from you– you know the one who reeks of the poiteen and smoke her own children via a pipe.
She will be more reliable when it comes to the weather in EK.
The reason I say this?
Well, Jobo has just described himself as “handsome”!
This tells me his his faculties are seriously impaired, and as such his ability to give an accurate description of the weather in EK has to be questioned.
I think he needs therapy, counselling, possibly hypnotism, and various other thngs.
Prayers too maybe.
Personally, I need my hair cut– it is an absolute disgrace– like an old carpet that has been thrown through the washing machine.
Just thought I would share that.
Twists get in tae thum was one of the mistakes of the first leg.
Hopeful crosses in to the box will be meat and drink for an organised defence
Shoot from distance
Hit the byline
Pass AND MOVE !!!
But most of all keep it tight at the back Celtic
twists and turns
Let’s hope so. Cannae wait. Stuck at work till 2 then 3 and a half hour drive to CP . Not much work getting done.
HH
Morning Celts,
Good luck to Lenny and his young Lions tonight, although luck won’t be required IMO.
4-0 to the Celts tonight.
HH

HH
Thoughts with Thunder Road
Hope the boo bhoys who have no
patience, will be on there best behavior tonight,
Lets get behind the team, and not
on top of them.
We can play our part in giving us
another historical night to remember,
God bless wee Oscar ,
and Happy Celtcing
Twists Commons 3-1 Unfortunately !
BRTH
You have £5 on Lustig and 4 -0 at odds of 125/1. £630 which will be split 50/50 with TKF and Mackenzie should it come off.
Thanks.
Thunder Road, I lost my father a long long time ago when I was wee lad but I know he has been is with me in my heart every single day of my life since the day he left me as a young boy. I’ll sing a bit louder tonight and think of those who went before us to paradise.
Condolences to you for the loss of your dad, I’ll sing a bit louder for you tonight.
Hail Hail Bruv

Paolosboots…greenwells glory is a trout fly.. Don’t know where he fishes though!!
Can I just give a wee bit of praise to one of our own.
I noticed last night that there was a donation to the MacKenzie fund which was inspired by the climbing exploits of our own Battered Bunnet!
I understand that Tony and others climbed up this monster
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NT1q7jiN9T8/UYbucOnxwpI/AAAAAAAAA7c/l1ACQTzrUB4/s1600/Urriellu+Picos+de+Europa+Asturias.jpg
.. and in so doing raised money for the MacKenzie fund.
The person donating last night was sufficiently impressed and increased the fund by £200 which is fantastic.
TBB did kindly invite me to participate but I couldn’t find my trainers…….. or my woolly hat and my gloves!
A big Celtic Welcome to Paradise to our courteous and magnanimous friends – Shakhter Karagandy from Kazakhstan…………………………………….┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐
Apropos of polite etiquette, calling a person from Kazakhstan – a Kazak – is not respectful.
2 – 0 down, 90 minutes to play, of course we can do it. I’m going for a safe 7 -1 (to us)
And that’s without a striker.
Thunder road. May your dad rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him. H.H.
