Keep our name out of it, Salmond

1113

I’ve heard some utter tosh from politicians over the years but never anything so blatantly untrue as the comments from our First Minister, Alex Salmond, reported today.  This clown is telling people Rangers need to be saved for the sake of Celtic.  He said:

“The most diehard Celtic supporter understands that Celtic can’t prosper unless Rangers are there. The rest of the clubs understand that as well. Therefore you have to have cognisance of these things when you’re pursuing public policy.

Keep our name out of it you incoherent fool.

If our prosperity depends on the survival of Rangers it’s time our values and priorities changed.  You of all people should know this after your lecturing last year.  Celtic have not been well served by their association with Rangers, nor vice versa.  As a combined entity, the ‘Old Firm’ have not been good for Scotland.

I’m keen to hear what his “public policy” on the matter is.  Salmond goes on to say:

“We’ve certainly been arguing to HMRC on one hand, and indeed to Rangers, to for goodness sake get a settlement, get a settlement and a structure over time whereby Rangers can continue because Rangers must continue for the future of Scottish football and for the fabric of the country.”

How dare you argue with HMRC?  Even Rangers admit the potential underpayment could be £75m.  How many nurses, teachers and policemen would that employ, Mr Salmond?  This is the true cost of his position.

This sorry business has nothing to do with Celtic, I hope our club make this clear to provocative politicians.  All you die-hard Celtic supporters out there better let this man know he has no right to speak for you.

“Fabric of the country”. He got that bit right, alas.

The signed Celtic top we are auctioning on eBay for the Vanessa Riddle Appeal has reached an incredible value. Well done to everyone who participated, you are remarkable ambassadors for Celtic Football Club.

  1. Is there anyone able to confirm Murray Park has been flogged for £1 to a business colleague of our man Whytey??

  2. Paul67,

One of your finest articles, it is unbelievable what Salmond has said and hopefully it finishes him as a politician. It is like he is reading a script that the likes of Keevins and Spiers are following religiously. These people are trying to perpetuate these lies in the hope that if you say it often enough people will believe it. I hope other clubs supporters are also seeing right through this garbage that they are spouting.

  3. Apologise, I thought people were interested as I say understand won’t happen again.

    Totally misunderstood.

  4. It will be a bigotfest at the HMRC arena on Saturday; back to basics and they’ll postpone reality for 90 mns.

The administartors are playing to the crowd as the darkest days have yet to happen. PR campaign in full swing but far more to come on all this.

Need a shower after reading that FF drivel.

  5. left home at 13.30 for Hospital appointment disgusted by Salmonds comments thinking who is going to speak up for us.STEP FORWARD THE CELTIC BOARD.Thank you slapped that wee knaff down

Then witnessed Whytes poodles telling the orcs kinda what they wanted to hear.

As long as it was not Armagedon they will lap up the scraps off the table as usual.

Im happy in the knowledge the pain has only just begun for the orcs, take away all the bluster from the LL & politicians and you are left with one thing a road to armagedon for them TICK TOCK.

Intreresting and informative reply from Shona, however it does not really answer the need to emphasises the tax evading antics of this wonderful football team, nor does it have the world wide and immediate impact that her boss has in saying that Celtic need Rangers in his baw faced laughing buffoon appearance on Al Jeezera TV to be broadcast tomorrow.

Equally why would Manchester Utd be concerned about the demise of Portsmouth( 1898) and its effect on their income……..no one would dare make such a link, why should we ?

  12. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

I think that HMRC are more aware than they are letting on about what is happening.

They are bound by rules, and it is their job to ensure that others also abide by those rules.

As regards any connection between the administrators and Whyte,or the possibility of them not fulfilling their role as administrators and Officers of the Court-as strictly laid down by statute-then it is still my opinion that HMRC will take them out as well.

I think there’s a very good chance that HMRC are simply waiting for them to show their colours, and that HMRC have had them in their sights for some time.

    Let ’em have it,Hector!

  15. greetings. i have never joined any sport forum before, a lifelong celtic supporter. but i felt i needed to sign up as i am at a loss for words over the whole rankers situation. first of all i’m a pissed tax payer, they are stealing from each and everyone of us, just like the banks have and still do. i could go on about that for a long time but i will spare you all my ire about that. what i don’t get is why as has been said fat sally’s dad has got involved, should he not be doing more for the ordinary people of this sad little country of ours instead of pandering to a bigoted institution that is one of the main blights in our society. i’m from inverness, i don’t have a religion( that is a personal thing and should be done in ones own right), but even here you can see what that team(haha) does to people, i work with some lovely people, but when it comes to their team, they change into a bigot, i get called a fenian, tattie picker, and for what, because i support celtic. i don’t belittle them when we beat them but when the shoes on the other foot all change. i hear you ask why do i not support ict, well i was a thistle fan and i take great offence to the eagle shitting on the thistle, like a lot of people from my generation, so therefore i don’t, they have and always be caley, or the rangers of the north as they were called way back then, another reason not to support them. the main point is that why are the politicians getting involved, is it to deflect from the incompident jobs they are doing or is there another reason for it. well you just lost all the celtic supporters votes for your comment today. even prime diddy david has stuck his oar in, jesus, make mine and everyone elses life better instead of continuing the we will help the people survive, they broke the law they should be dealt with accordingly, no help no offers of help or deals, the full extent of the law, if not then why should we pay taxes, or are we all just to stupid to realise that maybe we don’t. it’s a very slippy game that is going on and at the moment i can see them being saved,no penalties other than the 10 points and then it’s back to same old. if that happens i just despair. i teach my kids to be honest and fair, i see little of that in scottish football or scottish politics. sorry if i have bored you all.

  16. Dear Lord, these cuttings from the follow follow sites are disgusting and have no place on this site. A case for deleting access to Henr1 k 1.
