Whatever happened to Jonny Hayes
WITS
Injured
Brendan taking the trip to Astana very seriously then :)
I’m delighted that youngsters are getting the experience but I think this will be tougher than the League Cup game. I don’t expect another humping.
Mon the hoops.
WITS…..Hayes injured.
WITS.
Johnny had a virus, Brenan said he started training again on Thursday with a view to being involved on Tues.
Hail Hail
still buzzing from Wed night, delighted to see the young players get a chance today.
DAVIDOPOULIS
Another opportunity for some youngsters to get valuable experience.
I expect there will be more Tims in the ground than Killie fans so might have a home game feel about it, although their shite playing surface might be an issue.
Park Rd 67.
Arthurlie only lost 1.0 to Pollok last week. I know it was a derby but Arthurlie were quite defensive according to reports. All 3 of my sister’s live close to Arthurlies ground.
Anyway stuff them :-)) Good luck to Girvan back in the top division.
It should be a great league this season.
Pollok have recruited well. I still think Glens will be the team to beat although a Scottish Cup run( not junior cup) may be a distraction for them.
Hail Hail
Today’s starting line up v Killie – ko 12:30pm Sky Sport Football
Gordon, Ralston, Tierney, Ajer, Miller; Brown, Rogic, Armstrong, McGregor Benyu, Forrest
Subs: De Vries, Bitton, Griffiths, Sinclair, Henderson, Ntcham, Lustig
Jimmynotpaul, that’s good Paddy signed up for another sesson. It would be good if his enthusiasm for playing continues.
I hope he enjoyed Minnesota.
Its very pleasing to see some of our young guns getting a game . Brendan is showing great belief in them which should give them even more incentive to get more games.
Our away support being fully behind them will be a boost also.
I was in my local baker this morning and overheard to huns having a blether.
It went something like this.
“You going to the game Jimmy?
“Naw”
“Doesn’t sound as if a lot of the guys will be going today”
“Naw, he’s pis*ing us all off one by one”
Wonder who he meant?
to = two
Jimmynotpaul, if Paddy plays against the Larkhall team plus some of the Ayrshire teams , he will no doubt get a similar reaction as he did at Petershill .
The Hippo posted on facebook earlier he was hoping for solid performance from his team today.
PHILBHOY
Indeed, great for Ajer and Ralston in particular as they will be key squad players this season.
You are right about the number of Tims there, always helps.
Ajer knows the pitch well so hopefully he helps the defence manage the crazy bounces the hoofed balls up the pitch take.
Celtic to win both halves. 11/10. Covers todays otehr losse ;-)
Aff oot tae ma Bhoy’s….

There’s something wrong with me – Lee McCulloch came across as quite a reasonable bloke there.
Nurse!!
Another factor potentially influencing this line up is that BR doesn’t want his first team playing on a plastic pitch twice in four days.
The travel to central Asia for a European match is another factor… ;)
C’mon the young hoops
-With 6 changes to starting lineup!?
Wow!!- spells out the gulf in resources
All bought and paid for with Social Taxes up to date…
Ya beauty !
Thanks for the updates on Jonny Hayes lads. Glad to hear he is still part of the managers plans. He will find it hard to be a regular but I still think he can make a decent contribution over the season
Surprise for me in Benyu – sure he’ll do what he did last time out – but we have enough on the bench
Dallas.
It’s great that Brendan has trust in the younger players. He knows who is ready and who is not.
Yes, I think Paddy better get used to it. He normally plays wide in a 4231. So being on the touchline exacerbates it.
Hippo can hope, hopefully his team get stuffed :-))
Hail Hail
My God, what an improvement on Tanner :D
Brendan has picked another Cracklin’/Cracking Team.
I reckon it will only be a 2 goal winning margin, I hope I’m wrong.
Beating a 5-0 scoreline is gonnae be exceptionally tough.
Respect to Stevie G for his Praise of Celtic on Wednesday.
Brendan really should have Won that bloated League.
Celtic is benefitting.
Great to see Rascar Back. A truly Great Wordsmith.
Cooking up a Storm. ;))

They’ve replaced one pair of diddies with well………………………………… :)

KT at Centre Half again.Marvellous.Ralston ,Ajer, and Wee Benji,Marvellous.
Going to a mates 80th birthday party today.
3.00pm ’til 8.00pm.
Gone are the days……………………..
All the best today Celtic. At a distance for a few weeks, confined to quarters, so it’s a radio tune-in unfortunately.
Lurking huns remember, old-style Celts aren’t here to take over. We’re here to see you taken apart.
On we go to 7IAR!, still five to go.

All 3 did come across well.
SKY have been Brutal, hopefully they Realise that CELTIC is GOOD.
From the official site
JAMES Forrest will again lead the Celtic attack today as the Hoops travel to Rugby Park to face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.
Brendan Rodgers has made six changes to the side that dominated Astana 5-0 in the UEFA Champions League play-off first-leg in midweek with Forrest taking over the striking duties from Leigh Griffiths.
The Bhoys tasked with stretching Celtic’s undefeated domestic run to 52 games will include many of the starting XI who dominated Kilmarnock 5-0 in the League Cup 11 days ago.
Notably, Kundai Benyu will makes his second competitive start for the club, while Anthony Ralston, who scored his first goal for the club against the Ayrshire side last week, also features for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Kick-off at Rugby Park is 12.30pm, and head to @celticfc for all the pre-game build-up and live match updates.
CELTIC (4-2-3-1) Gordon; Ralston, Ajer, Tierney, Miller; Brown, Armstrong; McGregor, Rogic, Benyu; Forrest.
Subs: De Vries, Bitton, Sinclair, Ntcham, Lustig, Henderson, Griffiths
JIMMYNOTPAUL
Hope to get to Arthurlie away this season , was there few years ago and had a few beers in the Brig pre match and back to club after game HH !
McCulloch got the benefit of Ajer on loan last season.
With Ajer’s experience and his improvement I wouldn’t rule out a similar transaction this season.
Lee won’t want to bite the hand that feeds him.
Hope Benny has learned from his last appearance ……….looked like he was trying too hard, has the skillset to be a player for us under Brendan’s tuition.
Quick start and get the job done.
