Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 9-in-a-row CQN Charity Golf Day at Aberdour in Fife, yesterday. The event, auctions and raffles leading up to it raised £6000, the bulk of which will go to the 1254125 appeal, while some will go to Clic Sargent, who help families with children with that dreadful disease.
Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace, and his wife Olive, were fantastic guests, who enjoyed spending a day with 70 or so friends. It doesn’t matter how far away Lisbon Lions live, you always find them the same way.
My sincere thanks to everyone who came along, bid of the auctions or bought a raffle ticket, all in aid of people you will never know. Thank you from all of us to John, Kevin and John, for their stressful work in pulling the event together, for the ninth year!

If you believe in this club, don’t leave it to someone else to take care of what’s important. The same goes for your season ticket. It has been over a century since we have been as close to the founding spirit of our club, but the sporting dramas which inspire us all are not achieved by new strikers, they are the fruits of tens of thousands fans buying season tickets.
Go stake your claim on Celtic.

Was working today, hence reason for tardy post re The Open yesterday. Overall, can only echo Paul’s message that the day, and more specifically, the people who come and those who also participate financially from afar, represent the unbroken chain of our club’s 125 year essence.
We had a great day and night. Willie Wallace is a magnificent man and his family were outstanding too. Bogan rogan is the Parky for our generation! Once again, in the heat of Aberdour, the fans came in their, er, dozens, to see us all become champions, 9IAR!
As Paul says, we’ve raised £6k which is down to you guys. I simply can’t mention all the names right now but thanks to all who bought raffle tickets for our eBay auctions. There’s been over a thousand people bought raffle tickets. I’m sorry you can’t all win, I’m sure you’re happy the funds are going to good causes anyway. We did the draw last night and I’ve emailed the winners; guy from Cambuslang won the Seville top and guy fom Bishopbriggs the Double top. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets and also to the winning bid in the Messi top auction. Superb.
We’re gathering together all the funds and greater financial minds than mine (Blantyrekev) will give you a full breakdown of fundraising & beneficiaries in due course.
Thanks to everyone who donated so many great prizes both for the raffle and for the silent auction last night as well as for prizes for the various winners. Old tims’s great trophies and Pat McGs amazing merchandise.
There’s others we’d like to acknowledge, commercial enterprises who support us, but we need to come up with a way of recognising people in a manner they are comfortable with.
There’s also a few things about the event we know we have to improve and even already we’ve had a few chats about these issues. Overall we’re delighted with how things went, how once again, just like those guys on Ben Nevis today, the Celtic family showed we’re more than a club.

Thanks for that :)) The general consensus is the laser surgery works. But my right eye prescription rules it out because the vision has deteriorated so bad that laser treatment is not an option. They offered me a cataract switch thingy, which cost around £5000+. No contest, new specks ordered to pick up in 2 to 3 weeks time.
