Liquidation Day

1062

May all the scammers rot and toil in hell.
May the cheated titles fall and may we live to tell.
May all the world forget they ever played.
And David Murray regret he never paid.

    They do exist.

They don’t. They died today. Any amounts of willing the opposite, on the part of the Hun support, the SFA, the SPL, the MSM, cannot change that.

RFC are dead. Sure there’s a huge groundswell of denial in this wonderful wee country of ours but that’s all it is – denial.

UEFA, FIFA and everybody outside of Scotland’s vested Hun interests know they are dead.

And as for the little new club battling away in the 4th division, playing in a big ground in Glasgow where they can’t afford to pay the electricity bill, where they are giving away thousands of match tickets every home game, who have been bought by an, er, venture capitalist – how long do you give them? Administration in 6 months? Maybe more like 2?

No hun phoenix rising out of these ashes, IMO.

You are hopefully right on all you say but sadly the only the thing that´s guaranteed not to change is the Sevco mindset.

That will unfortunately never change but might gradually diminish to a laughing stock in the not too distant future but it´s a Scottish thing.

Nobody’s kidding themselves on that the huns are gone for good. We know fine and well that they’ll be back, probably madder and badder. Thats why we still commonly know them as the huns, and always will, whether its Oldco or Newco they are following. They are far too big to just disappear and such is their standing in Scottish society they will get every concievable piece of help from Govt downwards, with the aim of ousting Timmy from power. We know how it works in this country.

No, all I wanted was to witness the end of RFC 1872 and today I got my wish. The fact is that RFC didnt just crash and burn by plain overspending like Third Lanark or Accrington Stanley, but by corruption and cheating. They are stigmatised forever now.

The huns will kick and scream for a while about kept history and in a way I can understand their desperation because they are in a state of trauma. However I’ve spoken to two already who’ve had the balls to admit that the history has gone.

One day soon the history books will show the facts.

I know the new little club will go bust, I wish I could stick a bet on it.

I posted earlier that I think it has been planned this way, they needed to dump the debt, they have done, but they still have serious probs, hence Chuck on the scene, he will depart soon enough, and real rankers men will step in.

There is serious money waiting in the wings, that is a fact, they won’t throw it about like the mint did.

    They will bide their time.

They will rise from the sewer more rabid that ever imo.

  12. Only one question remains:

Why was Ibrox, Murray Park and the goodwill of 30-40,000 season ticket holders only worth a mere £5.5m?

Until this is explained in great detail Rangers should not be allowed to play football.

I know that some of my posts tonight have been on the negative side, but I can only post as i see it.

I am seriously happy as it happens, never thought I would see the day they were officially blended.

maybes I am wanting them to be punished properly, and I know that will never happen, maybes I am wishing for the impossible that they are no more.

They have destroyed the game I love, they have due to their supporters actions, stopped our club from being playing in england, it would have happened by now had they not destroyed Manchester, that I am sure of.

They have deprived my club directly out of millions of pounds due to their cheating, it could have been hundreds of millions of pounds, who knows how far we could have got in th CL had we had the money in the first place.

I just don’t want everyone to get too elated and get a shock, when they are still around as bad, if not worse than ever.

I want them to rot in hell, though that might just be too good for them.

There are IMO no mystery money men , hanging about waiting to plough money in to them , the best they can hope for is a lingering squalid existence (after a second adminstration) in the lower reaches of the Scottish league for 5+ years , with attendances steadily dropping over the years ……..

How long Chuck can keep the show on the road with his bluster and tripe will be interesting but if the share flotation is a failure, cue another twat to be wheeled in to fool the Dignity support …….. this will be repeated ad nauseam in a downward spiral of failure ……

Lionel Messi & Andres Iniesta could have joined Rangers..

Lionel Messi news: Rangers enquired after loan deals for Leo Messi and Andres Iniesta 2004-05

Barcelona superstars Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta could have joined Scottish side Rangers on season-long loan deals during the 2004-05 campaign, according to excerpts from Graham Hunter’s Barca book recounted on Goal.com.

The thought of the Barcelona duo plying their trade at Ibrox sounds like the kind of thing normally reserved for the world of Football Manager, but it came closer to reality than you might think.

Rangers manager Alex McLeish asked his assistant Jan Wouters to enquire about the availability of any of Barcelona’s young talents back during the 2003-04 season.

At the time Messi and Iniesta were beginning to make names for themselves in Spanish football circles, and the Catalan club were considering whether to send them out on loan to gain first-team experience.

Wouters knew Henk ten Cate, Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard’s assistant, and asked about Messi, but Rijkaard’s assistant thought the Argentinian starlet was probably still to young to stand up to the rigours of Scottish football.

Instead, ten Cate advised Rangers to make a formal loan offer for Iniesta, a player tipped to be ‘a world beater’ by ten Cate.

McLeish said: “Ten Cate and Jan Wouters had chats about us taking Messi on loan, but the guidance from Henk was that he was probably too young and possibly too slight to get benefit from Scottish football.

“We caught them just in the middle of that process of working out what they wanted to do with Messi, but during the discussions Henk said to Jan that we should do ourselves a favour and take Iniesta on loan instead.”

The Scottish side attempted to do just that towards the end of the 2004-05 season, but the Spaniard had just scored in a high-profile pre-season game, and Barcelona decided against loaning him out after all.

Messi was just beginning to make a name for himself, dominating Barcelona youth teams games, and the 18-year-old was on the cusp of the first team. Iniesta would have been a 21-year-old on the fringes of the first-team set-up.

The remarkable story is told in the updated version of Graham Hunter’s Barcelona book, Barca: The Making of the Greatest Team in the World.

The critically acclaimed book details the origins of the great Barcelona team of the last half a decade, and the rise of Messi and Iniesta to their current level as world-class players.

Fans go full cycle to celebrate Celtic’s 125th anniversary

SIX Celtic supporters will be cycling from the ancestral home of Brother Walfrid, at Ballymote, County Sligo, to Celtic Park in Glasgow, as part of the Club’s 1254125 fundraising campaign.

They will bring with them a Celtic cross carved from stone donated by the Kerins family (descendants of Brother Walfrid) and it will be presented to the club at Celtic Park during the game against St Johnstone on Sunday, November 11.

Event organiser, Mark Cameron, said: “The Celtic support is proud of the club’s charitable origins, and as we celebrate our 125th anniversary our support will demonstrate that we will always remain true to the charitable aims of our club’s founding fathers by doing even more to help the most vulnerable across the globe.

“Our group has taken the 1254125 pledge and throughout the coming year, we know more and more supporters will join together in this collective effort to make a measureable difference to the lives of others, proving that Celtic is more than just a football club.”

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “On behalf of everyone at Celtic I would like to thank and congratulate our six friends for undertaking this great initiative.

“This is a tremendous idea, and it is very poignant that these supporters are making the same journey as Brother Walfrid did, with the same aim of achieving such positive results.

“Celtic’s origins of charitable purpose are well known and during the course of this season, through our “1254125” Campaign we aim to do something very special to celebrate these unique traditions and in doing so assist more and more people in need who are most deserving of our support.”
