Liquidation Day

1062

May all the scammers rot and toil in hell.
May the cheated titles fall and may we live to tell.
May all the world forget they ever played.
And David Murray regret he never paid.

“So over night the official attendance jumps 8000 and just happens to be double ours now.”

That’s because the Scottish Communities League Cup is a massive tournament for clubs like Sevco.

I’m sure playing against one the big boys from the top flight put a few extra bodies on the gate last night.

  4. Enhancing attendances at cup games is courting trouble…when the opposition looked to be settled up for half the takings ….how are the figures reconciled

Does gringo have to come clean on his jiggery pokery

  5. Think Mr Green is going to find out what the last CEO at Ibrox did.

When you are planning to run a successful Football Club

You need to run a successful Football Team.

  6. Sevco fan at work just informed me “zombie nation” was played over the tannoy last night and the inmates were doing the “dance”

Either they have discovered irony or have in fact turned into “proper” zombies.

Are real zombies scarier than sevco fans?

  7. Jobo mi amigo

Good morning from a dull driech for 3rd day running wet Costa del Sol.

My daughter is visiting, so on Wed it was the movies to see Argo. Had to skulk out at the start and change tickets to watch the English version an hour later.

Then back last night to see Skyfall.

    Two very good films.

Should dry up later and off to Seville tomorow for the day. Dont know what movie they are showing there yet.

  8. PFAYR – inflating the attendance figures mustl also mean they have to needlessly pay more income tax, no? Doesn’t make sense.

  9. steinreignedsupreme

They will come under sponsors/hospitality and that money is not split.

  10. •-:¦:-•** -:¦:- sparkleghirl :¦:-.•**• -:¦:-• on

Ooh, Auldheid, where are you? It’s grey here but still dry (Málaga)

  11. So.. Rangers liquidated in the afternoon and sevco boochered in the evening

Carlsbergs dont do halloween but …..

  12. Remember when you used to log into CQN in the morning and you’d smile as someone would ask the question ‘are the huns dead yet?’.

Well, brothers and sisters, the answer is yes. An emphatic YES, the huns are dead.

Enjoy the rest of your life. We won.

  13. By drying up, did you not mean drying out, I did after all buy you a nice bottle of red in Barcelona with your jaikie pals oldtim and BT!

  14. Sevco

Pumped outta the wee diddy cup at home by QOS

Pumped outta the diddy cup at home by ICT

    Whats left of the quadruple

The wee wee diddy league and the SFA cup.

    S … F … A …. Is what they are worth

  15. Chairboy

Now that is a reality from which there is no escape. It is interesting how the msm are not putting a lot if any focus on the standard of football on offer.

They must breathe a sigh of relief when ‘The Rangers’ win and are now making up excuses when they do not. The latest being their average age which apparently is older than ICTs but reported as younger.

Investors actually wanting their shares to at least retain their value will be looking at how much work (and the cost ) of what needs to be done and sniffing.

The main income generator at Ibrox is bums on seats but if all of that and more is required to be spent on a wage bill that will keep the bums coming back and that looks like it has to be double the current bill, since they have a poor development structure, it is only going to be die hards (ironic term when you think about it) who will invest.

They really do need to keep the bum count high.

  16. Chairbhoy@7.30

“I see some feel the demise of R@ngers is somehow incomplete as a team baring the name began anew at the base of Scottish Football.

I don’t see it that way, there was always going to be a new club to try to fill de void….”

I don’t think you’ve represented the counter argument well.

My position is in line with yours that a new club was always going to emerge from their official death and ashes. But it is not OFFICIALLY a new club.

There has been no official death. The official record keepers in this country have told us that Rangers still exist and are still the same.

I can live in a world where the Sevco fans delude themselves they still exist and are still the same.

Such a world has not yet come about because the SPL and SFA did a deal with the card sharks. They pursued a title stripping deal for a fabricated continued existence status. The Zombies accepted the later part but reneged on the first part.

And now, having been officially announced as Continuity Rangers, they HAVE an argument that we are the deluded ones, because the record books show they are the same. These self-same record book keepers are to be trusted by us to run future leagues with integrity but their first act was to invent the fiction that a club can buy its own history.

And if they go bust again, what is to stop Walter and his backers from buying them and repeating this trick. Once you’ve officially sanctioned a lie, it is hard to take it off the table and say to the next guy ( a close race between Vlad’s Hearts and Chuck’s Sevco) that you cannot have this deal.

    I’m back to work now.

  17. Kikintheass.

I dried out during the Wed after which despite the result was a very enjoyable day along Las Ramblas. Good to shout at you in the pub. Noisy wasntit?

Benalmadena behind the marina. I think it has stopped raining now for a few hours. Not cold mind you.

  18. •-:¦:-•** -:¦:- sparkleghirl :¦:-.•**• -:¦:-• on

Hmm, rain might not be far away then. But I am starting to feel the cold a bit.

  19. Auldheid

Hope the weather picks up for you, yes it was noisy but not as noisy as my thumping head in the morning….

Looking forward to the next two games and more Zombie nonsense in the coming weeks

    Kikinthnakas

  20. auldhied @ 08:53,

Yes, if they looked threatening and could whet the appetites of supporters and potential investors by a competitive “Old Firm” cup tie they could strike with an IPO with the illusion they are still copmpetitive at the higest level.

That’s why if they subsidise the punters at Ibrox short term they will (if and from my way of thinking it’s a big IF) get many multiples in the IPO is successful.

BTW I mentioned earlier some of the Bloggers who helped create the platforms that exposed the underhand happenings in Scottish Football and at RFC – Didn’t mention posters. Your postings Sir have been legendary.

    A beautiful morning . What a feeling.

Worth repeating – I read earlier.

Last nights ICT result only highlights the McCall Mothers arrangement to guarantee Sevco a win every time..

I know that most of the time – you and I have a sword-duel on here.

But hey, I’m on yer side this morn.

I, for the life of me can’t see, not now, not EVER…there being a country called Scotland that disny have a football club called – Glasgow Rankers !!!

Now…imagine the scenario – CG and his consortium approach the SFA to join the SFL and, they’re told to get to….

Can you imagine the – Manchester rioters saying – “Oh, well that’s be us then ?”

    “Whose for tiddleywinks ?”

    Nah, me neither.

T, I hear what you say and yes, it will be all posturing and maneouvering to suit their argument and no doubt they’ll be backed by some of their msm loyal. I think there’s a degree of utter disbelief that it has finally come to pass and its understandable that some of us still regard them as the same entity, especially when we dont get banner headlines telling us different. Just remember, if it was CFC the msm would be leaving everyone in no doubt whatsoever that the club, history and all, was put to sleep yesterday.

Maybe its too simplistic to suggest that the timeline ended on October 31, 2012 and thats enough. But they will officially adopt a new name soon, just as Airdrie did. According to the record books, any honours they won are from 2003 onwards. There is still an Airdrie FC website which quite rightly informs fans never to forget the history of the club that folded in 2002.

Now someone can tell me the difference between the RFC and Airdrie situations.
