It has been so effective, Platini now promises to relax the rules. The blame does not all sit with Platini. Uefa are dealing with 10 legal challenges to the rules, with complainant clubs citing European Law in their defence. The big football powers are split. The English appear in favour of FPP (Manchester City aside), while many stressed clubs across Europe are in opposition.
The concept of living within your means is still resisted in our game, not just in barred hold-outs in Scotland.

During last transfer window I slated Lawwell for weakening Celtic in the previous 3 transfer windows. I was also advised by some, forget it life is wonderful being a Tic fan years ahead of them.
I also predicted King would pass Fit & Proper. how can a tax cheat like EBT Ogilvie turn down King for the same crime. I also advised that I believed King would invest serious money in the summer. It’s only a guess. However from memory and taking into account the Rand / Sterling exchange rate he has has substantial money based on info on the Internet.
Tomorrow Hibs will experience Callum Murray having his final …final payday. They will be on the wrong end of a penalty decision…guaranteed. Murray has previous …..incl one where he apologised to Butcher at ICT. Sevco will be helped pass by Hibs. The weakening of Motherwell is underway and Dallas Jnr as 4th official responsible for McDonalds red card will not be rescinded.
King will invest significantly in Sevco is my view. I hope I am wrong and Paul67 is correct but people like King under all sorts of scrutiny do not go to this length unless they intend to go full out.
Lawwell as advised at the last transfer window ( where Celtic were strengthened ) must ensure CL qualification and put £30M of further distance between ourselves and Sevco. If not Sevco investment will see them catch us up in one season and challenge us for CL qualification with MIB support.
What is disappointing today is that Lawwell and Petrie as club bosses did not voice an objection and drive a wedge between SFA committee guys versus the football guys. Lawwell in particular by being part of the green light today , has made a rod for his own back.
If Lawwell messes up the transfer window like last summer resulting in CL qualification failure and Kings Sevco invest , then it’s over for our tactical CEO.
I have a bad feeling…….I hope Hibees do the business and Paul67 is on the money regarding King.
If not I don’t think the Celtic support will ever forgive the Celtic Board and Lawwell.

Reconstruction would reduce sevcos costs.It has been a long term plan. Ashley is now expendable. He gets his money he will go. The possible suspension of the EPL within Europe by UEFA threats to the Newcastle owner. I dont know if they are all cosy and good at news management or so mistrusting of one anotter that it is an agreed upon plan.
