We’re capable of much higher levels of performance than them. We can reach levels they’re incapable of.
We need to also emulate their levels of consistency against weak opposition. Dropping points against bad teams like Hibs & Livingston can’t continue.

it must be great to be a blogger who is able to foresee or tell the future , I can only comment on what i see on match day as it happens and what the league table says .
we are dealing with a different beast this 9 in a row season and cant give them a sniff , the agenda has been set out , the other teams are weakened and we cant take our eyes of the prize , europa should not be a priority this season , we are so close to creating more history and they will do anything to derail us , we have to be up for it every league game as we will definitely not get any assistance from anyone.
Plastic pitches do not suit anybody’s game if that game is football.

It has to be said – today was the day we really needed Neil to step up. Most of us with our feet still on the ground could see this coming. High as a kite on Thursday night, talking up our chances on how we could really do something special this season on the Friday – working on a game plan playing with 10 men on the Saturday? Very doubtful, though I think his predecessor did exactly that.
I love Neil to bits and very much see him as Mr Celtic, but the type of performance today we have seen many times before during his previous spell as Celtic as manager, highs like Barcelona, lows like Ross County, bust Trebles are jammed packed full of this type of performance.
Buckle up, it’s gonna be a very bumpy ride this season, those of you who don’t like heat should probably leave the kitchen now.

Two points behind having played two more games away isnt the end of the world, however, we need to learn to keep 11 men on the pitch
If Christie hadnt been sent off we may not have won but we certainly would not have lost the game
These games generally start off pretty frenetic before it settles down and the better team begins to dominate possession
Unfortunately, the game changed after the sending off and we never got into any sort of rhythm, players pulled out of position and having to cover the empty spaces
Ryan Christie has to learn from this I’m not sure how much Lenny can learn

Celtic lose today. I’m as sick as everyone else. I am also sad that so many have piled in to stick the knife in while seeming to post themselves absent from CQN when things were going well.
Clubs like Livi are allowed to kick us off the park; they are NOT allowed the same leeway against the deid team, while the deid team are allowed to kick everyone with impunity. The season is going to see much much more of this. Any Celtic foul play (and even some correct play) will be severely punished, like Christie today. How many teams have “tackled” us exactly the same way in just about every game this season and got away with it?

!!BADA BING!!
You are right on the money. Quite a few people saw this banana skin coming. Many years ago, when I played on astroturf, or blaes, or ash, the following was drummed into us: Clear your lines, do not dick around at the back, put it into the corners, get the defenders running towards their own goal, harass them constantly into mistakes, aim for a target man and look for the second ball.
Livi did all of that today, and we did not adjust at all. Forrest is worse than a man down in these games. He has no heart and did not put in a single tackle. Elyounoussi played well because he got used to these parks at Molde.
What really bugged me was how laconically we started, as if we had all day, and somehow we would get by without expending any effort. Forster was strolling around, taking his sweet time, exhibiting no urgency whatsoever, as if we had all the time in the world. And why on earth does he put the ball down, step back, step forward, move the ball 3 feet to the left or right before booting it downfield? Is it compulsive obsessive disorder? The field is nearly 100 yards wide, and he is moving the ball sideways 3 feet?
And for the love of the wee man, get someone who can take a corner! McGregor has Ajer, Julien and Bayo in the box, and is sending it across at knee high to the first defender. At the last Scotland game, both he and Christie screwed up every corner. Charlie Tully must be spinning in his grave. Oh for someone like Gallagher or Moravcik. It’s not that difficult.

I did not agree at the start of the game we should have played the “Cluj” team,as circumstances were known to be different today and was in fact commented upon by NL.
We never play well on these surfaces, and add to that the amount of physical contact allowed by the despicable Collum, who has almost certainly now abandoned any semblance of fair play, and we had a recipe for disaster.
Christie made a mistake, but his offence was not as bad as the assault on Jonny Hayes in the second half and not dealt with as rigorously.
5 points now lost, partially due to Referees, yet as a Club we continue to ” Take it on the chin” this is a wrong tactic and whilst not advocating our players fly into reckless challenges,we need to start calling out blatant imbalances in the application of the rules,or 9 in a row will be won by the team in Black.
If I am never again in that stupid Stadium it will be no loss.
PS.Big Eddie,Elyounoussi, and Forrest, did not appear to be up for the fight resulting in the overload to our back four. Not good enough.
