  1. Today was a possible banana skin. Delighted to get the 3 points and a reasonably straightforward win.

All sectarian singing, in scottish football, is wrong

Great win tooday ad a full week for penalty practise should see us in good shape for Tannadicee on Monday.

Five wins from last 8 games should win us the league if one of the wins is v the hun.

    Good position to be in.

Every single player in the squad should be a reliably good penalty taker.

    They are professional footballers.

    All it takes is practice.

  4. Soon there’ll be no Protestants at all.

    According to Wikipedia.

‘The Church of Scotland faces many current difficulties. Between 1966 and 2006, the number of members fell from over 1,230,000 to 504,000,[68] reducing further to 446,000 in 2010[69] 380,164 by 2014,[70] 336,000 by 2017,[71] and 325,695 by 2018, representing about 6% of the Scottish population.[72] The Scottish Church Census reported that only around 137,000 people worship on an average Sunday in a Church of Scotland, approximately 41% of the stated membership.’

I hope the Church of Scotland are grateful to the Celtic away support for bringing this information to a wider audience.

Got a troublesome monkey off our back today and with some ease too. I’ll be looking back on today as a significant hurdle cleared on our path to being Champions again. Good to know we’ll now get a chance to work with the players (set pieces please) and perhaps get a few back to match fitness (Kyogo and Turnbull). Salivating over the squad improvement that Big Ange will be able to conjure with the £30-40m CL money. Hoopy Days. COYBIG ☘️🤟

How do we select pen takers. Calmac obviously not the answer.

    ————

i stopped celebrating penalties years ago. We tend to find a new taker who then misses 2 and is out again. probably the same for most teams but I only support one so I do worry about it!

The archive section of my brain says that Mark Reid scored loads but it may have been less than I remember. Don’t remember a miss from him but he probably did at some stage

Dreadful anti Protestant stuff from quarter wits….. including Brian….sadly stupid. Tarnishes our great club. Am sure our greatest manager would have been less than impressed by this unwanted pond life.

    •••••••••••

    What’s the solution??

We as a club are now the other side of the old-firm coin and it all just gets accepted.

In 2012 Rangers fc died, no ifs , no buts, dead!

One day of paper headlines that Rangers were dead, the next thing you learn is that Lawwell has flown to London to lend Celtic’s ‘support’ in including Sevco-Rangers in the new Scottish football TV deal?? to drip feed the return of Dracula, sorry, I mean, Rangers.

Or, is it, Sevco-Rangers?? which liars are we to believe??

The extent of PLC resistance was a Rory Bremner jokey comment?? lol

When Rangers died in 2012, the price of ticket for a game of, Rangers vs Celtic, was £49, more than a Champions League game, just think about that.

Fast forward to 2016, the Ibrox club return to the top flight, and Celtic agree to maintain the £49 old-firm ticket price??

Where were the car park rebellion’s after this sneaky move??

No public announcements, just hidden handed, under the table, when no one is looking.

So for Celtic PLC to pull off this, (( old-firm-ticket-trap )) the PLC needed a distraction to change the bitter mood amongst Celtic supporters since 2012, and all the controversial issues that went with this vinegar filled mood.

Just dumped out of SCSF by Sevco-Rangers, whilst Ronny was our boss, didn’t help much either.

Issues like this 👇 and many more.

    1. What would Celtic PLC call the Ibrox club when we play them??

    2. When will the 20 odd stolen trophies be tripped??

    3. What’s the can kicking all about, regarding Res12??

    4. When will Ibrox pay back the £150+ million HMRC-EBT-HEIST all stolen to cheat opponents??

So, imho, the PLC needed a distraction, something that would change the bitter vinegar moods, instantly, into a rivers of milk and honey mood, with immediate, overwhelming, effect.

What card could the PLC play to enable them to body swerve these, at least 4, burning, raging issues??

The PLC masterstroke was to recruit, Brendan Rodgers, as Celtic fc manager, in 2016!!

An absolute humdinger of a tactic from the PLC, seven trophies in succession, and importantly for the PLC balance sheet, two successive entries into the newly increased to, £40 million CL wonga, £80 million straight onto the balance sheet, on the pitch was a disaster for Brendan and Celtic in the CL, but from a business angle, Brendan more than paid his way, also developing players and selling them on for huge profits, milk and honey right enough, a balance sheet of wet dreams for the PLC.

But, Brendan exuded a longed for razzmatazz amongst the supporters, maybe just too much imho, because the (( Brendan bounce )) made the support go ‘gaga’ for this manager, which allowed a complacency amongst the supporters, causing them to lose their grip on the, 4 burning issues above. This allowed the corrupt PLC to pull a trick on the supporters, by keeping the Rangers-Celtic ticket price of, £49, in 2016 as Ibrox “returned” just the very same price from 4 years earlier, when Rangers fc supposedly died??, was Brendan a willing PLC pawn to pull off this Rangers-Celtic ticket price deceit?? or was Brendan unaware that he was being used, to create a circus, to make Celtic supporters go gaga, taking their eyes off of the ‘4’ issues above, then being stung by the PLC who obviously saw Sevco-Rangers as the same club or they wouldn’t have kept the price of ticket £49 as being, in effect, Celtic PLC’s sleekit, hidden handed, under the table, shifty, grubby, slimey, stick you when your not looking, type of answer, to the burning Sevco-Rangers, same club questions that set ablaze countless thousand’s of web pages on Celtic cyberspace between 2012 – 2016, the old-firm PLC board had stitched up, thousand’s of delirious Celtic supporters who were having pub lock-in parties to celebrate the arrival of, Brendan Rodgers, as Celtic’s he manager.

After 2 years of the old-firm-ticket-trap being cemented back onto the SPFL fixture list, all of a sudden, it was as though the PLC realised that the Brendan ‘trick’ had worked just like PLC wanted.

Brendan had accomplished the (( hidden agenda )) of Celtic PLC, get the ‘same priced’ old-firm games up and running, without having to answer one single question, from anybody, about “…the same club issue” that is amazing, not a single question!!

Its as though there was an orchestrated, synchronized, sleekit, underhanded, agreement, between…..

    Celtic PLC

    Rangers PLC

    Scottish media

    Scottish Government

and probably many more, all keeping – silent – as Celtic supporters are distracted, gaga, about Brendan, whilst their £49 tickets had revived the old-firm, and no Celtic supporters gave a stuff, who cares what the price was, as long a Brendan was here, who cared??

The Tims had been outmaneuvered by the PLC.

Celtic supporters were no longer seen as, uppity Tims, they were now PLC playthings, to be ‘played’ whenever it was convenient for the PLC.

Just think about that for a minute.

The PLC had decided that, Brendan Rodgers, was no longer needed, he had served the PLC’s purpose, the ticket trick had worked, without a single whimper from Timdom, the PLC had answered the Sevco-Rangers question by keeping the tickets the same price, job done for the PLC.

Now the PLC would pull the transfer window rug from under Brendan’s feet, to piss him off, and save £45k per week when Brendan resigned, and as the puppet, NFL, was only a text away at Hubs, job done for the PLC sharks, who couldn’t give a fig what Celtic supporters thought about the new developments, as the support consists of a 50,000 library, and 3,000 fake Irish rebels singing about the IRA,to look tough, I guess, maybe I’m wrong about that, if I am, I’ll buy them all a cyber beer.

But today’s, lazy misfiring, chanting, is a measure of how far today’s Celtic choir have sunken into the old-firm matrix, and they either don’t get that?? or they couldn’t give a monkeys??

That’s not the Celtic way, that’s the old-firm matrix singing, the other side of the coin.

A handful of inspirational rebel songs at each game would be ideal imho.

But for 90+ minutes every game, every verse of every rebel song ever written must no be sung and that sounds like a narcotics issue to me.

They’ll be in my prayers as always.

At least Rangnick took the wage thief Pogba off. The guy earns millions from swanning about with a different hair dye job every month, and not even breaking sweat. He owes no loyalty to any team he plays for.

  17. EVERY Celtic supporter is delighted by our win today.

Those coming on to point a finger at some, who in light of previous results over the last fifteen years at Livingston, may have been justifiably cautious, are indulging in the stuff of the primary school playground.

A childish attempt to raise their own status by shouting “na na na na na na” at fellow Tims…..pathetic really!!!

  18. IniquitousIV on

De Gea almost decapitated by Mahrez shot.

Rangnick probably for the off. Utd. Require instant results.

McTominay is a good player, but looks like a carthorse in this company.

  19. McPhail Bhoy on

Penalty taker? Juranovic, obviously today he was a sub, apart from him I’ve no idea. I’m always surprised that Rogic doesn’t take free kicks or penalties for such a good striker of the ball. I remember him scoring a free kick against Aberdeen, then never seemed to take them again, very odd.

  20. Notwithstanding relegation & promotion – does anyone know any other Scottish ground, other than Livingston, where Celtic have gone FIFTEEN YEARS without a win?

    What about Ibrox??

They went out of Celtic’s league for 5 years.

I’ve been saying we were going to win the league as far back as you were predicting us struggling to finish in the top 6. Pretty much every week since then.

I don’t care and neither should you on my or the blog’s behalf.

Talking about taking penalties,my son took them in school ,juvenile and junior level never missed one ,all in the same corner.

He always said if he hit them hard enough no goalkeeper would safe them

  24. Rock Tree Bhoy on

Postecoglou said: “The players knew it was a challenge. They went about it the right way and didn’t shy away from it.

“The boys who came in brought some energy with James (Forrest) and Tom (Rogic), Niro (Bitton) and Tony Ralston.

“These guys have had three games in a week, so it was important for us to maintain our energy. We set the right tempo and intent from the first minutes.

“We hunted in packs, we won the ball and we didn’t give them a moment’s rest.”

    Well said big Ange

  25. I think what today showed is that not only can Ange tweak the team according to the opposition, but also that his system works against teams who go out to stop us playing.

We won the midfield battle because of the inclusion of Biton and looked stronger because of Jamesie and Ralston being on the right. Having won the midfield, we had Maeda pressing them effectively so they weren’t able to settle and play comfortable accurate long balls.

The players who came in were three of the best on the park today. That and the manager’s performance are extremely promising for the rest of the season and beyond
