Look out for Cease and Desist orders

1238

The first thing you do when you raise an asset dispute is issue a Cease and Desist notice.  Inform the other party to stop using your asset, whether it is a piece of intellectual property, like a logo or badge, a piece of equipment or a physical property.

In conjunction with this you also ask for all monies collected in connection with your property to be forward to you.  Football clubs, for example, regularly instruct people, who produce merchandise with unauthorised copies of their club crests, to stop doing so, destroy all unused stock and send them whatever money earned from earlier sales.

If and when a claim reaches court, the first request to the judge is likely to be to freeze use of all assets and cough up cash from sales. Keep your eyes peeled…

CQN Nine-in-a-row Charity Golf Day 2013

Our Annual Charity Golf Day 2013 will take place on Friday 14th June at Aberdour Golf Club.  This is our 9th annual event and I’m delighted to announce that Lisbon Lion and nine-in-a-row striker, Willie Wallace, will be our guest of honour.

After winning everything available to him in Europe, Willie made a new life for himself in Australia, where he established a second career in the game, while retaining strong links to the Celtic ex-pat community.

We will be raising funds for the 125-4-125 appeal, while encouraging all Celtic fans to get involved and stake their claim on what this club is all about.  Cost for the day’s golf and the evening meal and entertainment is £80.  Cost for non-golfers is £45.

The Annual Charity Golf Day is always oversubscribed so get your application for a place in early by emailing, cqnopen2013@gmx.com.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Some people just don’t know when to just say nothing ( Charlie Mulgrew) the St Mirren expanation about the tie looks as though it was concocted by two five year olds.

They continue in the daftest possible way about only having St Mirren ties, stretching the lie to make it seem more plausible.

Alot of managers set up their teams to provide enough positional discipline to not lsoe goals, and hope for a moment of brilliance from players capable of it to win matches.

    That’s how we beat Barcelona.

I agree we struggle to break down lesser teams in the SPL at times, but in my view alot of that has been down to James Forrest’s absence. His natural width and pace pins fullbacks back, and stretches the space between full back and centre half. Would be good to have a bit of ballance in that respect with a flier on the left wing as well.

EN, your post last night was not criticism of NFL, it was abuse NFL, something we are regularly enraged about when that abuse comes from the MSM or the hun. Perhaps a better choice of words would have worked.

  6. Awe Naw’s point about the interjection of Campbell Campbell or whatever the St Mirren’s commercial guy’s name is at that point in the discussion, as told by R. Forsyth, is utterly hilarious.

Gilmour, trying to deflect from his Sevco cosiness, babbles on about how he and Monsieur Charles weren’t even talking about re-construction, but about agents and players’ wages.

In other words, Charles Green was doing exactly what Francisco Sandaza got kicked out of their club for.

  7. I think we should forget about ‘tiegate’ now as it is obvious that neither St Mirren nor Sevco received any sporting advantage.

St Mirren say Challs arrived at their ground without a tie and so they gave him one of theirs. Some of us think he arrived with a tie. It’s all very mysterious and quite insignificant really – unless it exposes some officials as being liars.

Charles Green wore a St Mirren club tie when he went to see Celtic get cheated out of two points the other week by Bobby Madden.

Then St Mirren scupper the reconstruction plans.

People are putting 845 and 845 together and getting 1690.

I didn’t mean it as a criticism of Neil Lennon when it comes to strikers, more an observation that it is incredibly difficult to get a striker who can guarantee you goals. I’m sure I could pick any team at random and the of strikers they sign, maybe only half ever make the grade.

Even more difficult for us when shopping at the lower end of things so even more kudos to John Park et al for their recommendations.

Gary Hooper has gone off the boil recently but he is still 26th in the all time list of Celtic goalscorers and as for goals per game he is in 9th place overall. A very astute purchase and I for one hope he stays with us.

There is no great manager out there that will keep you happy and if there is one who could do better than Neil Lennon then unless he has the same feel for us he will soon be offski.

Celtic need managers who “get” Celtic and they do not grow on trees. That does not mean Neil Lennon is the bees knees or does not make mistakes. Gordon Strachan probably had a team who were more solid but I prefer Lenny’s style in spite of some woeful performances on occasion.

The players like the manager are inexperienced but I’m happy to give them time rather than throw the baby out with the bath water or its rattle out the pram ( as can happen when we are 3-1 down at home.)

At the end of the day its all about attitude and if we cannot change the current reality we can change our attitude towards what we do not like if we want to be less annoyed.

There is so much to be grateful for if we develop an attitude of gratitude.

  18. James Forrest is Neil Lennon! We are ALL Neil Lennon! on

    Hey guys

One wee bit of shameless plugging before the main point ….

As many of you know, I published my first book “Fragments” a couple of months ago, and my first novel, “Believers” very recently. I’ve just finished giving the novel the final polish, changed the cover, cut some extraneous content and it’s now available on Amazon in both print form and on the Kindle, for any who might fancy reading it.

The book can be ordered at the following link:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Believers-James-Forrest/dp/1482682109/ref=tmm_pap_title_0

Now … to the point ….

Gary Hooper is almost certainly going to go, and judging by the way he’s been playing for the last few months I personally would have no issue with letting him leave right now. He looks disinterested, like a man who’s mind is already elsewhere.

Stokes, I thought, showed far more hunger when he came on in the cup semi final.

So, without Hooper, we do need a proven goalscorer. I would be wary of going to England again, because, frankly, the quotes for players down there have reached the point where I can’t work out whether it’s insanity or satire.

Wayne Rooney might be about to become the world’s first half a million pounds a week footballer. It’s obscene, but that is the English game.

The more I watch Johnny Russell, the more I want him in a Celtic shirt. And we could do worse than grab Gary Mackay Steven as well, if we’re convinced he’s going to stay fit. I think, as much as we need a striker, we also need to bring in a player who can entertain the crowds, who can get them off their seats … Mackay Steven has the talent …. if he’s going to be fit then I say go and get him.

There are goalscorers out there … but I suspect we’ll need to look beyond these shores if we want to get in a target man. Unless anyone fancies John Daly haha ….

The CQN scouting network has suggested some names, and from my limited knowledge of a couple of them I think they’d be good. But without giving offence to the CQN scouts I trust the Celtic scouts more …. we have been crying out for a big bullying target man for the last couple of years now … I trust this is the summer we’ll finally get one.

If the scouts don’t have a recommendation I’ll be amazed.

In the meantime, I’d give Stokes a new contract pronto. Not bad for a kid I once thought wasn’t good enough to wear the Hoops … his performances in the Europa League last season turned me completely around.

  20. The only question I have about tie-gate is that I can not believe in this day and age that you must wear a tie in the St. Mirren Board Room. This would surely be discriminatory for someone with a bulbous neck who feels they are choking when they have to do up the top button on their shirt. Scandal so it is!

It really does seem so 20th Century though.

  21. EN

I take your points about creativity in the team but I think there are mitigating factors this season anyway. For all intents and purposes everyone knew we were going to be crowned champions at the end of the season and makes little difference in the grand scheme of things if we do this by playing beautiful football or by just getting over the line.

This season above all others was about giving a good account of ourselves in the Champions League and to do that we had to constrain our attacking prowess by focussing more on the defensive side of things. This worked to great effect against Barcelona and has giving us more to talk about than probably every other game combined. This couldn’t be achieved by just putting this plan into action for one game, the players had to learn how to play in this way and the league games was the way in which it was done.

Once this mentality is enshrined into the players, it is difficult to get away from but there have been some very good attacking performances this season and for the first hour or so against Juventus at Celtic Park, we abandoned the defense first approach and went for the game. We had a lot of play but we didn’t have the creative players to unlock their defence.

I think a balance needs to be struck but that game showed that defence needs to be our top priority in Europe but we also need the creative types to unlock tough defences.

Unless you want to be labelled a fellow traveller of the huns and an opportunist, then respect the solidarity which Celtic fans are calling for.

You are correct nothing was added to the Ticketus story by the MSSM.

It was used to discredit the Whyte Knight once tha was the necessary agenda.

Mr Green used The Rangers money to buy the RFCia asstes, insofar nas Newco owes the money to investors.

The Glazers bought Man U with Hedge Fund money Man U paid the high interest and the principal is owed by Man U.

The Ticketus deal was only a scandal due to the clandestine way the deal was made and subsequent, MBB and war chest stories, which were put put by the MSSM.

The scoop in January 2012, is not exposing CW as the Internet Bampots and BBC had already done that, the scoop would be exposing the men behind the deal and how it facilitated them to do the walking (running) away.

To expose how these bold R@ngers men had fatally wounded the club and the chances of survival were pretty much zilch.

Still even that scoop would have been old news to the IBs.
