HT 1-1. Maribor concentrating on the space between Izzy and VVD. Most of their attacks in this area. Mibbees drop Charlie back a wee bit but if they continue to sit back behind the ball and we maintain our discipline we should see this out to our advantage
I’d take 1-1 to take to CP, will be at the game on Tuesday and do fancy us against them at CP. In terms of Denayer, he might actually be a bit of a find. Who would take 1-1.

We are playing well, have a reasonable amount of control and can score again, but they have qualities too and can be dangerous on the break.
Much more confident now than I was at 7:30.
I’m always optimistic, but tonight I was unsure, just don’t know Ronny well enough yet to know whether he learnt from the Legia experience, he has. Good.
The goal aside, a far better performance from Celtic

Bhoys showing better discipline and not rushing to get ball forward. No long punts up the park, giving away possession. We still look vulnerable to the quick ball forward though.
Still, I’ll settle for what we have.
How many European goals has wee McGregor now?
We have to get Izzy to come back and defend or they will score by going down his side he goes forward Berget goes forward but when Maribor break out and attack Izzy is still ambling back.Also Stokes needs to harry and work more to close them down 1-1 is ok but there is a long way to go yet. H.H.

Anto is not suited to the lone striker role (imo) Much better playing alongside another front man. Problem being no one else in the squad is up to the task. Was hoping we’d sign a striker

Good professional performance by Celtic. Very unlucky not to be in front. More of the same second half and I cannot see us losing. What a difference a couple of weeks can make.

Good first half. We are troubling them on corners.
Surprised they are giving us so much room.
They will have to come at us second half.
If we keep it tight then we will take a few goals off them at CP.

Usual inept defending after scoring.
Maribor mediocre.
Cmon the Hoops.
Playing well, keeping possession not just blootering up, keeping there shape and making chances + the away goal so all in all a good first half.

So far so good. But much as it pains me to say, Izzy’s the weak link…need a left back…and a striker. Btw if we cant knock out this mob we can chuck it.

Started well, then drifted a bit.
We need to re focus for the second half.
Mc.Gregor and Johannsen have fallen out of the game and Berget hasn’t been in it.
The game is there to be won, but the defence doesn’t look secure.

Hmmm, difficult to decide if we should change it, comfortable although worrying how simple long balls seem to cause palpitations in the heart of the defence.
Definitely another goal there if we approach it right. Couple of times Lustig looked up tp put a cross into thebox and there’s no one there.
Would keep the base of the team as it is, Berget made a nice run for the goal but nothing apart from that, Stokes ok, working hard but you can see why NL never fancied him as a lone striker. So one or both of them could be changed if RD see’s fit
We should be 3-1 up. Charlie’s header very unlucky and what was Stefan doing on the line when Mikael headed the ball towards goal.vthey look scared stiff of crosses. Team playing patient game well. Need to avoid carelessness like passing the ball across the face of our box in front of Tavares.
I think we should try to be patient and let them come out and try to hit them on the break.
What about young McGregor. PL will be trying to flog him for £6 million as we speak:-)) 3 goals in European away games. Wow!

Interesting the way Arsenal played away from home. They’re synonymous with attacking football much like Ronny Delia but last night they were defending really deep. As much as it pains me to say, we do need to keep it tight and just keep this result,
