While Neil Lennon’s mind will be more engaged with preparations for next season than SPL results between now and then he will be a bit alarmed at how porous his midfield has been recently. Celtic have been leaking goals at the back in an alarming manner but the cover from midfield has contributed most to the problem.
Injuries have been disruptive but it’s surprising that the team shape has not been maintained, irrespective of who is playing.

Money does not make you happy but the lack of it can make you very unhappy and grind you down. The Kojo/Jungle Jim interplay on this one brought to mind a snippet in a documentary I saw a couple of years ago about some down & out old Irish lads knocking around London. One poor soul whose mind was sossled from years of booze was asked whether he was happy or sad with his life. His answer was “Well I check and if Celtic win then I’m happy and if Celtic lose then I’m sad.”
This is not something I made up, twas straight from the lips of an Irish Wino in London. Made me think him with nothing and me with plenty are really not too unlike at all

Noticed in the Evening Times that although Celtic intend to opt out of an early season SPL match on August 10, Neil Lennon could not confirm who or where Celtic would be playing on that date. Surprising given that we, on here at least, were under the impression that we had agreed to play Liverpool in Dublin on that date. I pointed out at the time that Celtic had turned down an invitation to play Liverpool at Anfield for Stephen Gerrard’s testimonial in order to play the same team in Dublin. For what it is worth, although playing in Dublin would probably be worth more financially, if we have a choice we should agree to play at Anfield. With the publication of the Hillsborough report last year, and its’ ongoing impact it would be appropriate for us to show solidarity with the Liverpool support and continue to demand justice for the 96, one of whom of course was Stephen Gerrard’s cousin.
Burghbhoy, you are bloody lucky you weren’t feeling amorous and sent her an inviting text.

My own hypothesis ( i like this word you use ) involves utter despair when
I watch Celtic play long balls from our keeper to an area hopefully where
Samaras may or may not win an header and nod the ball into a space where
no Celtic player is.Tactics from the dark ages.
Worse still tactics from the Wattie Cardigan.
If the playing surface suits,this season more than any other we should
be striving to pay with energy and panache.
