    We would struggle to find a top class striker in Arthur Scargill’s hoose. Must do better. I believe we can source one eventually.

    All there nominees for the much vaunted Scottish POTY were poor.

     

     

    Kayal in midfield is a luxury we can’t afford, even if he had his moments today.

     

     

    Herron was out of his depth, and M’well played to his inexperience in 1st half.

     

     

    VVD, Fraser and Efe played like they were hungover. All three goals were schoolboy clangers.Ball over the top(twice) and a far post late run and tap in.

     

     

    First half shape was unbalanced.

     

     

    Nice to give the young lads a run out and to experiment a bit, but obviously not when it doesn’t work.

    Felt a bit for John Herron who clearly was out of position and wasn’t even asked to try full back, and instead played in no mans land as an extra ‘winger’

    Even when we went ahead I never felt comfortable.

     

    I said at half-time we would have to score four to win the game.Our defence were all over the place from start to finish.Three out of the last four games at Celtic Pk.

    Time to give big Amido a run out in this team, the big man looks like he could do some damage if given a chance. Poor defending let us down. I don’t think Kayal and Johansen combination worked today. Disappointed with the final result but hey, c’est la vie. Time for the hunterlopers to make an appearance.

    Both Motherwell goals in first half were due to errors in central defence.

     

    I agree that John was bullied a couple of times by Sutton but so were others in our defence and mid field.

     

    I don’t want to be drawn into a defence of the laddie because I am NOT objective, but I just want to point out the obvious flaws in your statement.

     

     

    John has always been an attacking wide right midfielder.

     

    John Kennedy played him at RB in the last handful of under 20s games to fill in for the injured Darnell Fisher.

     

     

    I thought John played well today but as I say, I am NOT objective.

    All over the place in defence and midfield, we were very poor at closing down today.

     

     

    Leigh Griiffiths should have been on from the start getting really sick of all this PC nonsense.

    You might be right. Hope so. However our striker signings have been dreadful over recent years. Just as well we do well in acquiring players in other positions.

    Ha- Alas no John Herron was probably just told to get stripped, and Matthews, Lustig, or Fisher in lessening degrees, play just as far forward but unlike John are versed in getting back to be part time full backs :-)

    We had enough chances to reflect the curates egg performance in the result, but having missed them a draw was not surprising.

    But we had no team structure with the subs made, so not a surprising result ?
