   Did these things happen or have I invented them?

    

    

   I have been fortunate in never having had to experience the type of religious sectarian bias that a slightly older generation and some of my contemporaries witnessed. But I have regularly come up against an ingrained set of attitudes from the more mediocre ex-students of Scotland’s private school system who like to have their own types around them. It has been a more pervasive and regular occurrence for me than Masonic influence or Protestant supremacy.

    

    

   P.S. I also played in a team that beat a team of touring All Blacks players in Scotland

    Gftb RDs default position is not to lose. He is an ultra cautious manager unwilling to risk playing attacking football. If he floAts your boat that’s ok but I find it frustrating. It’s not the Celtic way. HH

    Rugby is a fecking mad game.

     

    I have thoroughly enjoyed tonight’s game and the world cup so far.

     

    Yes it’s traditional support base and player base has been the” upper classes” ( probably with a few exceptions, like the Welsh mining villages, parts of France, limerick and new Zealand) and it’s cooperation with apartheid south Africa was disgraceful but apart from that. .what have the Romans ever done for us

    Peter Lawell has no control over Sky, surely his remit as CEO is to balance the books and make sure he gets his massive bonus…. Sky ? talk sport ? BT ? Let them all focus on the new club, let Peter be chief executive of Celtic if the expenditure outweighs the income then sack him but until then let Sky peddle the freak show from Govan, remember it’s a former Rangers fan now Sevconian that’s in charge of the ticker tape along the bottom, likewise Ulster TV/rassio has a big say in talkspoet, never interrupt your enemy !

     

     

    KevJ, I read back this evening and you asked me for proof this morning about Liverpool wanting Peter Lawell, a bit rich coming from somebody who relies on guys like Shug Keevins and Gerry McNee as the given word…. It’s all just opinions Kevin, and I am pretty sure you have posted certain things without the facts to back it up, like 99% of said posts……

    Sftb. None of what you say is wrong per se. But it’s very ‘focussed’ – The snobs you describe did (and still do) exist but they wouldn’t last long in a clubhouse in South Wales or the Borders or on a pitch with a south sea islander.
