Napoli sitting on the pot with Toljan

111

Maryan Shved is in Glasgow with his representatives, ready to sign a contract with Celtic before spending the remainder of the season back in Ukraine on loan, despite a late offer from Anderlecht yesterday morning.  Meanwhile, Jeremy Toljan remains in Dortmund, with long-term admirers Napoli still ‘sitting on the pot’.

I hear there is no chance of the player considering a permanent move anywhere else while Napoli continue to show interest.  The fact he remains in Germany means little, everything that needs to be done can still be achieved, but you know the script, these deals are never done until you see them on the park in green and white hoops.  Unlike Shved, this one is not in the bag.

Just caught the video of Ryan Christie’s first touch for his goal last night.  Delicious.  It is the way my first touch always worked in my head.

More soon.  I hope…

For those who may be upset about the lack of signings, today, TFC sold our star players, Sebastian Giovinco, to Saudi club, Al-Hilal for less than $3 million. Seems like a salary dump.

SG, who was making about $8 million US per season in Toronto, will make $11.5 million US for the next three years.

How many times do i have to explain to all you anti board malcontents.

The game plan is as follows.

We must keep Rangers alive to keep the our share of the 5 million from Sky Tv rolling in for “Old Firm” games .

If this means letting them win the league and losing out on 30 million champions league money then so be it.

We were told that Maryan Schved was undergoing his medical yesterday, still no news. We are sending him back to Ukraine on loan rather than on a NASA mission into outer space, right?

Nothing to worry about mate, according to Charles Moore writing in the Spectator

What to do about the coming shortage of green groceries of which several supermarkets warned yet again this week if there is a no-deal Brexit on 29 March? I am just old enough to remember when fresh fruit and veg were in short supply at this time of year. People used to know how to store things to mitigate the problem: apples would be carefully laid out on straw-strewn shelves. We ate lots of root vegetables and not much greenery. If ever you saw a strawberry out of season it came, for some reason, from Israel. Perhaps it is time for a Brexit recipe book, like those comforting wartime rationing ones full of bright ideas for dull things. In our part of the south coast we have racier ideas. We have a centuries-old tradition of smuggling (‘brandy for the parson, baccy for the clerk’), and are ready to set out in our little ships to Dunkirk or wherever and bring back luscious black-market lettuces and French beans, oranges and lemons. Our Sussex and Kent smugglers used to be known as ‘free traders’, which is interesting and — if we have to sneak over an EU tariff wall — entirely appropriate for today.

I was torn between C & P the article or using the link.

Did a very quick cost – benefit analysis & posted the link.

Still not sure I did the right thing.

I didn’t want them to get the clicks/cash but I wanted the pic to be available for other Tims to see.

It shows how far removed I am from that man’s lifestyle that I just couldn’t believe that a real Tim could stoop to the level of wearing all their Celtic gear to beg anywhere, never mind Buchanan Street.

Over a century of being discriminated against & being called such as this would surely play on the mind of anyone who was inclined to beg?

I’m well sir & hope you are too.

Meet up today for lunch with another Tim & 2 guests – Mexican Restaurant in Mooresville,NC.

Other Tim is originally from Clydebank & came to the US when he worked for Rolls Royce.

He was a good friend of John Divers from the town.

Which segue takes me to Bankiebhoy1

    Hope you are well sir.

The link dilemma I had is outlined above.

I honestly couldn’t believe he was a genuine Tim – which shows how naive I am I suppose.

Let me provide another example of a word commonly used on CQN “pashed” .

In Australia it means “kiss and caress amorously”. So, every time I read it late on a Friday/Saturday night I do speculate what the poster is up to.

  20. so are all those who criticised us who complained that there were no new defenders lined up for Jan 1st still telling as there is plenty of time left? ansd since then we have KT, AR, Boyata and big ben injured

  21. Delighted Brooney is staying but guessing that was finalised last week, the fact they held up the announcement till today suggests to me we are going to be disappointed re a right back.

  22. I have just had a look at the Valencia CF website for tickets. When you click on Entradas, it lists upcoming games for which you can buy tickets online. There is no link for our game. If anyone has bought them, where are they buying them from?

I live an hour south of Valencia and was thinking just to drive up on the day and see if I can get tickets outside the ground if there is no joy via the web.

I have never gone there for a game so no idea if it is easy/hard to get in on the day. Wouldn’t think we’d be a massive draw for them . . . but who knows?
