NO-SHOW HAKSA, HOOK FOR ROBERTS

SEAD HAKSABANOVIC was a no-show for Stoke City as they won 2-1 in their Championship clash against Sunderland yesterday.

Former Celtic fans’ favourite Patrick Roberts was hooked in the 66th minute as one-time Hoops boss Tony Mowbray tried to salvage at least a point against Alex Neill’s men.

Haksabanovic joined the Potteries club on a season-long loan in August after some ill-judged comments on social media following his failure to get into Brendan Rodgers’ starting line-up.

NOW YOU SEE ME…Sead Haksabanovic is about to be sent crashing by Kilmarnock’s Lewis Mayo in his second last appearance for Celtic in the Viaplay League Cup loss at Rugby Park on August 20.

The Sweden-born Montenegro international winger remained on the substitutes’ bench as his temporary team claimed three points.

On-loan Celtic pair Adam Montgomery and Bosun Lawal were subbed in the second-half of Fleetwood Town’s 1-0 home loss against Lincoln City.

Midfielder Liam Shaw, who agreed a season-long temporary switch to Wigan in the summer, was also taken off in the 63rd minute as the third-tier side won 2-0 at Exeter.

Ex-Parkhead prospect Karamoko Dembele, who left at the end of his contract for Ligue 1 outfit Brest in July last year, came on as a 79th substitute to help Blackpool to a 1-1 draw at Oxford United where former Scotland striker Jordan Rhodes claimed a stoppage-time leveller.

The one-time wonder Bhoy penned a four-year deal with the French club, but signed a season-long loan deal with the Seasiders in late August.
