Normalising violence

264

When you normalise violence, for example, by telling a broadcaster you cannot guarantee the safety of one of their commentators, or when you refuse to act swiftly when a coach headbutts an opponent on live TV after a game, you invite society’s worst demons into your domain.

Like most of the world, the majority of football clubs do their best to rid themselves of the casually violent.  The game’s reputation was taken into the sewer 50 years ago, before slowly and expensively brought back into the mainstream.

Flirting with violence only encourages the mindless to take it one step further.  The cost takes time to manifest, but decent fans want no part of it, their attachments weaken, leaving the tub thumpers ownership of the narrative.  It is also a glaring sign of decline and weakness.

Well done to Steve Clarke, Callum McGregor and the rest of the Scotland team on collecting six points from their opening two European Championship games.  A win in Norway in June would set the national team up for a classic Scotland capitulation against Georgia and Cyprus.

    ……………….

So sorry to read about your DADs passing….and your MUM being very ill.

You have shown great strength Mate.

HH and ALL the BEST to you and your family.

  2. A couple of things, I have never been a C19 denier, I have always said it’s real, what I have done is question the official narrative.

Canman mentioned government patents, IMO and in the opinion of the establishment, patents are real, not conspiracy theories, fact check that SFTB.

Here are some facts that you can spend your time trying to debunk, not a single establishment fact check body has managed as yet, prob as they haven’t bothered to even attempt it as they know they are real.

I feel for those who have lost family over this, sadly they are taking out their ire on the wrong people.

This video is quite long, but it provides facts that are undeniable and have never been debunked cos they can’t be.

  3. A quiet day on CQN, so :-

    Happy International Mermaid Day!🧜‍♀️

“In the Outer Hebrides, we have a long and complex history with mermaids.

One of our most fascinating tails (pardon the pun) is this one:

In 1830, crofters were busy cutting seaweed at Sgeir na Duchadh near Grimnis on the west coat of the island of Benbecula.

One woman spotted a creature several yards out in the water. It looked like a woman in miniature.

She called to the others working on the shore and men went into the water to try to catch the creature, but she evaded them.

A boy aimed a rock at her which struck her on the back. She cried out in pain and disappeared beneath the waves.

A few days later a creature was washed up dead on the beach at Culle Bay, near the township of Nunton.

As the crowds gathered on the beach they all agreed that this was the body of a mermaid.

It was said that the funeral for this creature was one of the largest attended on the island and was carried out like any proper Christian burial, however to this day the exact resting place of the Benbecula mermaid is still unknown.”

    TAURANGABHOY on 30TH MARCH 2023 6:31 AM,

Sorry to hear about your parents, my sincere condolences are with you, a very sad and trying time for too many, I also had covid-19 and know it was real and the difficulties in breathing was frightening.

On the mRNA vaccines though, the evidence now surfacing is undeniable whether you like it or not, further the strategy to silence dissenters who wanted open and informed discussion, can no longer be dismissed as a conspiracy. The branding of eminent leaders in the field of epidemiology and virology as crackpot conspiracy theorists was all too real and an extremely dangerous direction at a time that should have provided the most rigorous discussion.

The veteran virologist Robert Redfield and most qualified on the subject, director of the CDC during the start of the whole problem has just stated during the congressional hearing that he was excluded by Fauci from contributing to top level discussions because his opinions differed from Fauci’s and Fauci’s demand that only one narrative was allowed. The forced FOI of the correspondence and discussions of Fauci’s hand picked team demonstrate this. Further investigation into funding of the research document used to support their dictat was traced back to Fauci himself, all this information is now in the public domain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9P86mSjQwE

While you and the many like you who spent most of their time dismissing dissenters as conspiracy theory crackpots only have your selves to blame for your ignorance, I have posted plenty of sources for reliable peer reviewed material and experts from esteemed organisations who provide dissenting evidence on the protection measures taken during the time and now more so the vaccines. That too many demonstrate wilful ignorance and prefer to maintain that wilful ignorance is actually frightening.

I recently provided the peer reviewed research from Taiwan linking the mRNA vaccines to heart problems in children findings that children who had MRI scans after both vaccine injections showed 17% had adverse effects after the second injection to varying degrees, I asked SFTB to comment, his response was to ignore the research and go on the offensive with straw man arguments in an attempt to discredit me, not the research. there is far more research now surfacing but and here’s the problem, little to no research is not being done in countries that produce the vaccine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYz-yelhkYE

I suspect the main reason for the animosity towards dissenters is the fear of having to deal with cognitive dissonance and the idea that trusted “authorities” that provided the guidance they followed failed either to incompetence or worse neglect.

For me the most terrifying guidance was provided by NICE the UK strategy leaders had guidance on their website that instructed practitioners to administer respiratory depressors to patients, drugs that are provided to incurable terminally ill patients. The most of these were prescribed and administered during the biggest mortality spike of March/April 2020. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BqbVo2sQi0

Nothing I have included above is inaccurate it is all taken from official sources and now in the public domain, whether you want to look or not. So do yourself favour, before you condemn people for their scepticism and mistrust of authority, look at some of the info and direct your anger where it belongs and not at people who are trying to open up informed debate.

    TET,

I believe people don’t want to be moved out of their comfort zone, its all your fault for trying to make them think about the consequences of placing the trust in the establishment, only to be let down again, its too much for many to bear.

I doubt very mush that more than a few will even look at the links provided, the best example of that is SFTB who portrays himself as a knowledgeable and objective purveyor of information. Over the last couple of weeks he has demonstrated he would rather spend more time trying to find information that only supports his opinion and if he can’t the straw man will do, rather than a few minutes to just look at the information provided and give his opinion which would probably be far more interesting.

I suspect he is currently writing a 10 page thesis of why my last post to him is wrong and why I am objectionable :oD)) Or, that he is too busy and has far better thing to do than look at peer reviewed or officially published information, until he decides to take another pop, Reuters ffs :oD))))))

JAMES FORREST on 30TH MARCH 2023 11:01 AM,

Another one eh, have you looked at any of the information I have provided or are you just another wilfully ignorant oppressor set on silencing dissent and denouncing every one who has a different opinion as crackpot conspiracists, playing the player not the ball ?

Go on, I dare you, go look at the links I provided in my post to Taurangabhoy and come back and repeat your dismissal of the information provided, I’ve a feeling your no brave enough, prefer your blissful ignorance and running with the herd.

People take great comfort knowing if they are wrong then the majority are wrong too and its not their fault, they were only conforming with the “overwhelming consensus” and no one should try to upset the herd, it might cause a stampede.

I think all will be revealed in Ange’s presser tomorrow. Abada and perhaps Maeda may be unavailable.

Anyway, you can have the blog to yourself, I have to go out now. :-)

  14. Just a wee thought.

Jota is 3 weeks older than Mikey Johnston. Benfica let him go to us because they thought he would not get past their current wide men.

We let Mikey go on loan for similar reasons. I am not equating them as players just comparing their circumstances.

Is it possible that more regular game time in a tough league could get Mikey up to Ange-Celtic standard?

    Eh? Naw!

You and I know what unequivocal means but we may not have a shared understanding of what “do one” means. I cannot and would not prevent people from self-identifying as Libertarians, but I can refuse to treat them any differently from the tory policies they back and bolster.

When they are invited to “do one!” from me expressing my “free speech”, I am continuing my line of dissociating from those with whom I have no sympathy because of the harm they do.

As I said in response to your charge of being dictatorial, I would do so by walking away from CQN, just as you did with going to Sentinel Celts. You know, the core point of my post , that you left unaddressed.

    ———————————–

Oh but I do, I get to proscribe by removing myself from the company of such people or combatting them in the case of more extreme right wing hate mongers. I have a single vote like you and I can use it to promote policies that chime with my morals and vote against those that don’t, but the minute the UK turns into Orban’s Hungary, I have the right and the money to get myself out of there.

Here’s the lengthy reply you promised yourself.

I am going no further down the rabbit hole of the plandemic to find out which nasty semite is at the root of it all.

It is boring and pointless. You can declare yourself the winner because of this response but it will be an unacknowledged win.

As a simple point on the difficulty of debate. I linked a BMJ article which acknowledged where it was not peer researched. You “noted” that (because the article stated it right up front as an admission) and felt I was breaking some rule of mine. How, in God’s Green earth, can all research be peer reviewed or checked until it’s out there. Someone has to read it, see some flaw in methodology and point it out. It can be read by half a dozen people of repute before someone spots a problem. It might even take a contemporary unrelated researcher who finds a different outcome in a similar field.

But before this gets too long (and I have some studying to do this next 2 hours) , whatever breakthrough is made on benefits and side effects from vaccines will be made by scientists who always have challenged orthodoxies, the enemy of progress. They will ignore the amplification chambers that seize on the first signs of info that may support their side of the argument and declare themselves the winner; they will investigate and investigate again.

They will not find an overarching plan by the Elite (whoever you don’t like) at the bottom of Covid, anymore than there was with Spanish Flu, Malaria or Smallpox.

And I’m gonna give them the time to do their job without my amateur interference.

CQN can now breath a sigh of relief as I’d prefer more follow up on my Mikey Johnston question than this one.

And I will proscribe myself from responding to anything but that.

    See yiz later

  23. SFTB

The ball is most definitely in Micky’s court. Surely now he has to realise that this is a big boys’ game and he’ll have to work on the physical side. We all know he has the ability, but even Jinky knew that was nothing without application and work on his upper body strength. Also, those niggling injuries he keeps picking up need to be resolved before Ange lets him into his 1st team squad for match days, por cierto

  24. ConeyBhoy – thanks chum.

I expected as much. Hun violence as the Blog suggests certainly seems perfectly normalised in scoddland. Hiding in plain sight and Scotland seems happy enough to accept it or are just suitably cowed by the intimidation and aggression of the crafty neanderthals in our midst…………

Scotland of the Enlightenment seems a distant memory.
