Partick Thistle 0-2 Celtic

172

Kris Commons’ goal was outrageous. It wasn’t so much a chance as a hopeful ball into the box. Kris jumped to cushion the ball on his chest, from them, Thistle had no chance. He let the ball drop before scooping it over the onrushing goalkeeper into the net.

No one else at Celtic could have scored this goal. Kris possesses the rarest of talents: the ability to create a chance out of nothing, and he’s better than anyone else we’ve got at converting chances too.

After playing 88 minutes yesterday Kris will be feeling it this morning as he’s a few weeks behind his team-mates as a result of his broken toe injury. It’s a big ask for him to be ready for the Champions League play-off round but I’d make an exception for him.

Loved Tom Rogic’s goal.

I remember Hibs coming to Celtic Park, early 70’s and on a roll. Win,they go top.

We put three past them in the first twenty minutes, finished 5-0. That was the end of that!

Incidentally, I am not making fun of a serious and scandalous subject. Sadly the victims will never get justice from the British state.

The consensus on here seems to be that we need to leave our current league set-up in order to be what we can be.

Not that I think that will happen.

John Collins explained in that statement exactly why.

Does working for Celtic mean not having an opinion?

  7. Captain Beefheart,

I would say that most don’t expect any justice, but would be content with an acknowledgment of the part played by the British and who authorised the policy.

In short, they want the truth.

  8. Was listening to Pat Nevin give an interview to the Guardian. He had a wee go at McGeady during.

Personally, I think the guy has far too big an opinion of himself. He couldn’t have laced McGeady’s boots.

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART will print out the reply, put red pen through the spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes, and post it back to him.

  15. Cultsbhoy – Why do you not like John Collins and whay do you think he will leave?

Everything i have read about John leads me to believe he is a really good coach. RD obviously really likes and values him.

Whenever I watch Celtic Tv it looks as he gets on with the players and staff and is heavily involved in drills.

As for his perceived arrogance, Pep and Jose are far more arrogant IMO.

John made comments which cannot be disputed whether you like them or not.
