    Mr pastry

In one of the games at Pittodrie we had broony sent off at 1-1 and Aberdeen threw caution to the wind and went for the victory … only for us to mug them at the death

Same thing this season only reversed

  4. It’s a strange blog.

Nobody knows who they are. Yesterday I was whitedoghunch. Today who knows? Who needs multiple monikers?

But James 1955. I do know that Humpty Dumpty had a huge head.

Anyway, yesterday today would have been tomorrow.

Oot for a swally as I can’t think straight. Had a really crazy dream that Celtic were playing at 3 o’clock on a Saturday.

    Hail, Hail.

  5. Watford will not be allowed to win against Arse nal.

Scottish referees are no different from their English counterparts.

    Either just hopeless

    Or bent.

  6. TBJ

I honestly think the club is doomed

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Believe me Celtic’s roots not only penetrate deep into the world’s sporting soil, above the surface the blossom flourishes.

There are people who will never let it die….why? Because Celtic makes them smile…. I have a thousand (perhaps many more) of clubs and communities across the world that would make any Ghirl/Bhoy/Lhass/Lhaddie puff their chest out with pride….those pics and how and where they were taken are destined for another wee project….buttill then courtesy of Etims and The St Louis Lions here is one that encapsulates everything above above.

    Doomed…..Not a chance!

I am in general agreement with the content of your post but, even so, I would prefer it if you (and many others) would refrain from the use of `we` and phrases such as None of us`when giving your own opinion.

I firmly believe Ronny Deila is doing a good job, that Celtic are, mainly, good to watch and the players are working hard.It annoys me, therefore, when some presume to tell me that the opposite is what `we `are all thinking. Being in the minority does not engender in me the need to bring guessed at others in support of my opinion.

    JJ

PS Mr P. Your post was by no means the worst of the type. It just happened to be the one I noticed 0:-)

  8. The Champions League, from the quarter-final stages is now almost like the Six Nations Rugby and/or International Cricket, whereby the same teams meet each other, year in and year out.

As far as I’m concerned the Six Nations is akin to the old Home Internationals in football, boring in the extreme and there every year – the only sport that SKY/BT don’t want, ‘hyped up’ by the terrestial channels

As far as Scotland is concerned, the only real interest are the binges enjoyed by the so-called “Tartan Army” away from home – like annual ‘stag parties’ without the ‘stag’, as many Scots football fans are to heard saying whilst abroad “who cares about the football, we’re here on the piss”

A lovely and heart warming photo. More of `that sort of thing` is needed at the moment as we have too many supporters too wiling to be critical of our Manager and of our team ( he Board may well be a different matter all together).

Right, time for the rugby in The Commercial ( Arbroath). I fancy a Scotland victory but France will be easy winners of the National Anthem contest ! On that note, I love it when France play Wales !!

    Cheerio for now,

    JJ

  10. JUNGLEJIM@2:37 – Don’t you think you are being a bit of a ‘tart’ – we all say we – it’s a manner of speaking – it means us – stop being so delicate HH

  11. See one of my lhads ex team mates is starting today, nice one! Shame that the cliche ridden Craig Paterson is the co commentator, sound down for me.

  12. JmcC

Twentieth and Twenty first century has been replete with inventions and leaps of imagination that have seen the likes of Pain free dentistry, organ transplants, computers, the internet and even the potential for even greater things in the future…

But for me there is one thing that far outweighs all of these (all right I may being facetious but…. )……THE MUTE BUTTON or as I call it The Pat Nevin/Chick Young/Kate Adams silencer!

I don’t need one for Craig paterso….as soon as he opens his gob, I fall into a deep sleep.

    Hail Hail

  13. Young MacGregor’s goal yesterday was class. Both the pass, the focus and the awareness to finishing it off.

Operation battening down the hatches and avoiding all media till after the hunfest is in full swing already. Occasional dips into CQN only for me when the talk is not about a certain cheating, undead, supremacist disgrace.

Although I noted a certain Celtic player still on Celtic’s books getting it in the neck in a CQN headline below.

“Flop” is not the language I associate with Paul’s ethos. Frequent such SMSM references would chase me away from the blog indefinitely.

Just my reaction, of course. Others may feel differently.

  14. Was unable to post yesterday due to being TheDonald and a few other guys on here.

Before the game i expressed surprise at line up.

There was a few players unsuited to the managers system picked.

An up tempo high pressing system.

Lustig is done and no longer has the legs to get up and down pitch.

Brown is patently not fit.Would be useful if fit.

Biton can’t tackle and offers zero in a forward direction.

Commons has yet to justify selection in one game this season.

That the first half was so turgid and awful was no surprise as team played exactly as line up suggested before a great cross and strike announced our arrival just as half was over.

We started second poorly until McGregor conjured up a great goal.

After that we played decently for 10 mins and could have had more but for weak finishing.

The penalty was a travesty. And suggests winning this league we are going to face more than 11 on the park in the run in.

Erik though has to learn to stay goalside of opponent as he has a bad habit of overcommitting.

Subs were cautious and symptomatic of a coach and team just holding on and hoping to reach the finish line.

If Ronny wants to play his high pressing and tempo game then picking players with movement would

    help.

His square pegs in round holes suggests he lacks the courage of his convictions.

I meant the club is doomed … it’s lost its soul

The plc will soldier on…. the loyal to a fault fans will fund the corruption

  16. Matt Stewart

So sleekit arse Nevin is there also? Glad I switched over to Arsenal game until the Hampden kick off.

I quite like listening to Chico, always fun as he goes best of three falls or a submission with the English language.

It was a James taverner special for Watford

  18. TBJ

I believe that it is the soul that will thrive…I accept that I could be wroing, my God my whole journey through life’s rat runs has a plethora of examples to back that up…. But this I feel in my own heart and I’ll try and explain more later…now for the league cup final….C’mon the Hibs….or The RCs…..ach I’ll go with Hibs just to hear them singing Sunshine on Leith.

    Hail hail

I hope you are correct … I fear only the soul of some fans will prevail.

Less than 20 sec on clock in game of Hibs v Ross County and horrible wee bbc commentaztor mentions Celtic lossing to Raith Rovers in 1994¬ FFS I really hate football commentators

  22. Jinky, Celtic is a Cause, Celtic belongs to Celtic minded people all over the world. It is impossible for Celtic “to lose it’s soul”.

It is true that the current custodians don’t reflect the views and ethos of the support. However Celtic will be alive & well long after the current custodians have departed this mortal coil.
