If you were a professional football player, you would love to be in the Celtic dressing room tomorrow evening. You would have the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself; put in a big, meaningful performance. Record a bit of history and create a uniquely memorable victory.
There are some players who are fraught with anxiety on such occasions, but there are others who NEED these games, need an edge, to reach their peak. If we have a team full of the latter, Legia are in for a torrid night.
I’m doing my best to ignore the naked opportunism in our media this week. There is no point complaining about it, lose heavily and you become vulnerable to those who live to revel in a Celtic defeat. Don’t lose and you don’t give them (friends and foes alike) a chance.
We’ve been here before. Artmedia, Braga, Utrecht, Sion (despite the reprieve) and Karagandy all exposed an aching heart. European football is unforgiving, try to transition and you’ll find someone ready to exploit, but that doesn’t mean you are wrong to transition.
We might talk about this transition more later in the month but we have a game to win first. Can’t wait.
Check out the fantastic work by the cyclists who are taking part in the Paradise to Cardenden Cycle 2014 on 6 September. You can join them – all you need is a bike. Get involved, you’ll be delighted you did, I promise. Read about it here.

Incoherent …… Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ….. And you’re inconsolable …..hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Don’t know what to do with myself….. No World cup or Commie Games. Still can’t bring myself to watch Sevco though.
Wee promise to myself….. I will NEVER set eyes on that poisonous, corrupt set of cheats and thieves for the rest of my life. Never.
I feel cleaner already.
We love to speak about some of our greatest comebacks in Europe but we are not alone there……in 1962 a Big Jock led side came back from a 0-4 deficit to win 6-2 against a Valencia side…..No British side had previously beaten Valencia and those they have played were the deid team, us, Wolves, Manchester United, Blackpool and Birmingham.
This was a time when away goals didnae count as double so a 3rd game had tae be played….although the Pars lost 0-1 in Lisbon their home game showed us what could be done.
Also in 1964 kilmasonic lined up 0-3 against Eintracht Frankfurt…oul friends of ours…just over a minute into the return leg, they had taken a seemingly impervious lead, from a stunning long range drive into the top corner of Kilmarnock’s net by Huberts, the inside-left….. killie, nevertheless, refused to lie down and fought back to not only win the game, but also the tie, with an aggregate score of 5-4.
So it’s still there for us.
Turned over to alba … Saw the Boyd / miller show ….. Is this a legneds match ;)
In the debate … Wee snivelling Alistair ( must be a name thing ) gives it ” if we leave the union they will never let us back in .. Ever ”
Welcome to the ” no thanks to independence but yes please to our own version of domestic abuse ” campaign

Early morn. Oz.
Just catching up with your reply.
Again,by and large I agree.
The major issue which puts me firmly in sympathy with the Palestinians is the huge expansion of ” legitimate ” Israel to incorporate the West Bank,Golan heights,Jerusalem .
All achieved thro` military means.
Staggering miss by Hibs………..!!!!!!!!!
Tony Watt on as a sub for Standard Liege and heading into the Champions League Play Off round. Three minutes to go and its Panathinaikos 1, Standard Liege 2.

Soz,
Is the casino back on the agenda :o)
Standard Liege, Maribor and BATE Borisov all through to the CL play-off round.
If we go out tomorrow Maribor become one of the seeded teams in the play-off draw.
After an hour of trying to score a goal by passing to the Hibs forwards, the rest of the Hibs team now realise the easiest way is to pass to a sevco defender and wait.
TT
Brill bud! :))
You have a very clever lass.
Congrats Miss TinyTim.
Can she play pool as good as her auld man can? ;)))
