There is a common theme across a few players who joined this summer, they have something to prove. Guidetti, Mubarak and Tonev each had a difficult time last season, for varying reasons. They need to hit the mark, whether it’s through form (Tonev), fitness (Guidetti) or simply being able to play in an environment which is remotely normal (Mubarak).
Scepovic is different. He arrives with the wind at his back, but the prevailing attitude at Lennoxtown should be one of hunger. I suspect this contrasts starkly with last year’s arrivals.

The judge must surely have taken into consideration how much money Sevco have blown in only a few years (how much is it, 80 million?)
whilst plying their trade against teams of part timers (brickies, joiners et al).
The statement about trading their way back to the CL only emphasises their plight.
Given IA’s claim, if successful, his money would be due years before Sevco could get CL money.
Even at best, that event couldn’t happen until the end of the 2016-2017 season.
So, effectively, the Sevco QC is trying to argue that CL money is when Sevco will be able to pay their bills.
That will require:
– Immediate promotion into SPL, mid 2015.
– Immediate winning of SPL, mid 2016
– Immediate qualification into CL proper, 3rd quarter 2016
– Funds paid from UEFA to Sevco for a ‘successful’ campaign, mid 2017.
And what happens to their creditors in the meantime….?
I wonder how the judge could possibly have seen that maybe this funding model won’t satisfy IA’s claim.
