  1. I have to say for the 1st time in my life,I read a few nearly sensible Monkeys on Monkey media while I was having a gloat at them.Trying to say we were outrageous at the minutes silence, which sounded to me ,perfect.A few putting the demented right on that.”Sky had the Mics turned down””No they did not”was the answer. The only moron was a Monkey fan shouting,”C”mon the Gers”Most saying we could have scored 5-6.

I thought Mc Kay gave Lustig his hardest game.Big Eric made mistakes all over the place,1st half.Maybe the atmosphere, tension, weather, but I am sure it will be pointed out to him.

Armstrong,Dembele,Sinky, outstanding.Broony did so much work everywhere.Magnificent captain.

We will only get better under BR.Again his sub,wee Paddy carved them open for the winner.

Doing Karaoke MC tonight. Will be singing like a Linty.

    Enjoy tonight Lhads.

  2. OK winter sun, early kick off, a Celtic victory and alcohol might not be the most conducive to my energeTIC new year ramblings but what the hell.

Celtic, The Champions, have, following an arduous Champions League qualifying campaign, an extremely difficult Champions League group stage programme, (in which we equitted ourselves well), have remained unbeaten domestically over 24 games, winning the only trophy available.

In the the league championship, we have won 19 out of 20 games, winning 58 out of 60 points available, careering 19 points clear at the top of the table.

    What is not to like?

We are Celtic, we are magnificent, we are in an era of total domination!

    Happy New Year fellow Tims.

THE HUDDLE-is that why we sing ‘ we’re on the road again’:-))))

    —-

In American sports they often have road trips where a team will play many away games back to back while driving from hotel to hotel (granted I only know this from Ice Hockey, but assume it’s the same for all their sports).

  4. Road team. Team playing away from home.

You could say on the one road singing the one song.

More usually “Bottom of the 9th.”

Baseball expression meaning home side has last chance of scoring to win.

9 innings in a baseball game.

  5. Well I have to say that having listened to their odious song book including songs about the Billy Boys, Jimmy Saville and disgusting chant of Paedos, the Sevco got exactly the type of New Year they deserved.

Well done the magnificent Celtic support who imposed themselves and could be heard throughout the 100 minutes.

Stay safe tonight if you’re out all ready or going out and especially if you are going to a party.

  6. So delighted the “Headless chicken, chart sensation”injured himself running into people.Great pic sitting in the Royal.

wife’s just back from aldi with ‘Tunnocks to celebrate Rangers loss’

I think I might have one or two

  8. I was not too fussed when they scored. I felt confident that we would experience a test that we have not yet had and would come through it just fine. That’s the way it turned out. Fair play to the new boys as they gave the champions a run for their money but the gap in class is enormous.

The US co-commentator, not sure who he was, was saying that their centre half (Hill?) was the toughest player he had ever played with/against. Mousa bossed him throughout the game, leaving him crumpled on the ground at one point. This lhad is a big time player.

Read back on some of the comments here at HT and thought a lot of folks were out of order. This was almost all of the teams’ first experience of a hostile, hate filled environment, in which many players before them have caved. I thought we were immense in both halves, especially the second. Despite what we have achieved so far this season some folks just want more I guess.

….and it gets worse for Sir Alex as Man U boss game so far, have good goal disallowed then M’boro go 1 up.

    ————-

Very poor from Mourinho, they aren’t good enough to make the number of changes he did and expect to win against a team that has achieved some great results away from home this season.

Celtic are heading to Dubai for some warm weather training after a short break, where are Sevco heading?

They’re heading to Ardrossan to bask in the Gulf stream

  11. Brilliant second half today after a poor first half

    Armstrong motm

Could have been 5 or 6.

Was planning on not drinkin this New Year’s eve. That’s already out the window

    B-)

  12. Afternoon ,just back from the game courtesy of tickets won on CQN that were provided by Intelligent Car Leasing, a massive thank you to both had a grand day out with younger son Craig . We got to see the Hoops win another Glasgow derby as well as celebrate the goals with the legend that is Chick Charnley , who would have taken at least one of those 2nd half chances :)

Once we weathered the storm and got the equalizer thought we dominated and should have scored

more, after a slow start and then played superb in 2nd half , Moussa was outstanding with Scot bringing the best out of him , a partnership that can only get better.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year

  15. 1-1 Man U – Boro

Flying against recent thinking both goals came from long ball forward big centre forward nodding down for a player to knock the ball into the net

What has Ardrossan done to deserve them?

Nothing, but they’re banned fae Saltcoats.-))

  17. Really nice of them to have a minute’s silence for Princess Leia at the Death Star today…

    Anyway…

Gordon – 9/10 Big, solid, unbreachabble by various excited Zombies trying their damnest. Took an Ex-tim to poke one past him.

Lustig – 6/10 Unusually troubled by tricky Hun Hobbit mckay. Tho Mick, I think, realised he should have chopped the wee height-of-nonsense irritant long before he got a soft yellow for a tug.

Sviatcvhenko – 7/10 Calamitous giveaway for the Hun opener as a result of self-satisfaction at having knocked out Cockerney prick Garner immedaitely beforehand. Utterly BRILLIANT goal-saving tackle in last few minutes to deny undeserved equaliser.

Jozo – 7/10 Seemed unnerved by Erik’s Fawlty Towers defending early on and took a booking before re-asserting his overall competence. Another gem we’ve done qwell to hold on to after nearly gifting him to Torino. Big fella got the perfect attitude to go with his natural defensive talent.

Izzy – 7/10 Our Roaming Catholic puts the fear in me every time he exposes his defensiv earea whilst marauding uop the wing. But the vast percentage of time in Scotland we don’t get punished and he adds to our attacking power. His committment to the Hoops is laudable.

Broon- 8/10 Solo hero in the middle as he dragged us back into it. missed his usual Rogic outlet, coped well with Huns buzzing about him all first half like illigitimate wasps. But for the ubiquitous yellow we might have seen the ‘Broony Moonie’ as he stood atop the advertising boards in fron tof the Copeland scum; he was thinking about it… ;))

Armstrong – 8/10 Our bobby Murdoch; timing of runs, precision passes, constant movement tidying up the midfield. Outstanding, thanks to a real football manager actually playing him in his true position.

McGregor – 5/10 Never a fan of Calum, think he always looks out his depth in ‘big’ games – i.e when the pressure’s on. Expected him to grasp the Rogic role today and let his feet do the work, but he looked at their level for all his time on the park. Disappointment.

Sinclair – 9/10 Oooooofft. Lightning in his boots. Terrorized the Huns on and off the park. Three stands shutting their eyes every time he got the ball. Nailed them, could have had 3 or 4. Magic signing. Utter class. Well worth the big money.

    Moussa – 8.5/10 Hahahahahahaaaa… ‘Moussa’s finished’ ‘Dembele’s lost it, punt him’… Hahahahahaaaaa. BANG! There’s yer f#cking dinner, Huns!

Jamesy ‘The Prestwick Pele’ – 6/10 Never in it, disappointingly. Lacked service, yes, and looked dangerous on the few occassions he did have the ball but expected a LOT more form his pace; felt we could have annihilated them if all 3 front men were firing.

Bitton – 7/10 fitted in just fine when he came on; never let up the slack.

Paddy – 8/10 Fantastic reverse ball for SA to carve the winner. Enhance dthe Hun torment when he appeared.

Griff – 9/10 Right in there with Sinky’s celebrations. :))

BR – managed a lacklustere performance well; half-time rocket? Or just a reminder we might need to compete?

Anyway, at some point around 1pm today the Celtic alarm clock went off and the Bhoys delivered.

Lurking Huns, don’t be fooled – it was 2-1 going on 6/7.

Happy New Year to yeez all; heading out to familty NY dinner; should be a blast.

Celtic Champs Elect – HNY; and check yer spam filter from back on Sept 1st ya bam; will meet up in ’17.

  18. They scored a goal which I thought they would and they created a few chances which I thought they would. On the other hand we ripped them to shreds at times. A fair result based on clear cut chances would have been 6-2 to us. If they play like that again in the remaining matches this season we will give them a right doing.

  19. Superb day on CTV, tims from all corners of the globe !!!

Glad all over yes im glad all over :-)

  20. Just getting ready to go out when the thought entered my head that Hogmanay won`t be much fun if you`re a Hun and I felt a wee bit of pity for the supposed good guys who support them. Then I thought: Is it really possible to be a good person and support a Club that had a sectarian policy? I know this is a New Club which is not sectarian in policy but the supporters are still the same mob that supported the old Club.

Anyway, my Hogmanay will be all the better for my being a Celtic Supporter 0:-)

    Cheerio for now,

Mcgregor had a poor opening half hour but grew into the match and is worthy of more than 5 out of 10. He was excellent in the second half and kept the ball really well under pressure. His cross when Moussa hit the bar was a beauty. 7/10 for me.

Yep was very steady, had a better game than Forrest but McG isn’t a fan favourite so you get the 5/10

Let’s be honest apart from Gordon if the majority of team were really 8/10 we wouldn’t have been defending a corner at the 94 minute mark with the game only 2-1.

A poster previously also said we were immense both halves :o) a bit of realism on here sometimes would be good
