I assume from your post that you hope and think Ronny is an honourable man that he may resign. I also think he should but I don’t believe there is a cat in hells chance he will, Ronny for all his faults has a belief, however misguided that he is doing the right thing and it will all come good. That is why the the board have to act now and get rid. We are at risk of capitulating and losing this league, the players have given up on this manager and his team and their professional pride if they have any will not be enough to see it though yesterday was testament to that.

I predict that RD will manage a team that puts us out of Europe (and I don’t mean he’ll still be with us).
He’s failed with us. I think he probably can be a success with a team that is able to give him the time. That’s not us. At least not at the point when he arrived. Perhaps if he’s come the second they were liquidated. However a team where he’s not expected to win the majority of trophies might suit him.

My point is he stuck with him. Other managers recently wouldn’t.
You don’t get rid, it’ll handicap us for years down the line.
It seems Celtic don’t even seem to terminate contracts when some players could be accused of misconduct?
To compound Ronny Deila’s alleged tactical ineptitude etc etc, he has bought and inherited players that yesterday finally underlined aren’t good enough.
We do not have manager in waiting, so it would be a caretaker, and what exactly would that achieve?
The likeliehood of a Ronny Deila successor is my concern, and not the need for overnight RD termination.
With this PLC we are likely to be relying on Owen Coyle’s granny again, it’s time for them to be stopped in their tracks before they give us another Tony Mowbray and the decline really commenced.
Now is not the moment, because they are incapable of recruiting.
Go tell the Spartim on
The disconnect between the Board, PLC, those that run the club and the supporters is as wide as the grand canyon.
What good does keeping RD until the end of the season accomplish, if we’re not four up in the first 20 minutes there’ll be howls of derision, which will manifest onto the precious players (who cant take responsibility for their own actions) and adversely affect the game.
I want us to win this league anybody else?????

He spoke about how the managers attitude and tactics got them through those kinds of games, and specifically referred to being allowed to socialise and bond off the field. A thinly veiled dig at current policy in my opinion , and perhaps indicative that his previous comment about WGS being the best manager he’s had was perhaps another!

I do feel a little sympathy for Ronny, a manger is easier to get rid of than a few players with long contracts who down tools.
If Ronny has lost the dressing room then I blame the players not the manager, if players are kept on against the managers wishes I blame the executive not the manager.
However if the manager continues to use the players who continually let him down then that’s his own fault, and as far as I can see that is exactly what he has done.

Although it doesn’t feel like it, yesterday’s reverse may be a blessing in disguise. It may, over the summer, bring about some of the changes that a lot of supporters have called for. Season Ticket money will be due soon. Those who want change now find themselves in a position of strength. Thousands of fans are feeling aggrieved this morning after yesterday’s capitulation against a club with far fewer resources than we have. That means that there are thousands of Celtic fans at the moment who will feel that the last thing they want to do at the moment is part with hundreds of £££s for a season ticket. By withholding their money they have a chance of scaring and forcing the powers-that-be at Celtic into making some or all of the changes that many have been demanding.
What are these changes that many have been demanding. According to posts on CQN this season, I would say that the most frequent demands for change are:-
* a new manager
* the sacking of Peter Lawell
* backing a new manager properly by providing the resources he needs to compete effectively at home and in Europe
* the Club’s approach to Resolution 12 and towards the SFA/SPFL
If thousands of fans ignore the season book renewal form and hold on to their money, the Board will start to panic. Once deadline for renewal day passes the alarm bells will really sound. The Board will then have to actually do something to reverse the situation. They’ll have to actually try to find out what is ailing us. What do we, the fans want? I would suggest that will be the time to demand action on the points above and to keep your money in your pocket until you get it. I won’t be rushing to renew my ticket.

I said that this was the managers fault as he is not strong enough to deal with that. I would also say that RD is totally out of his depth and has to resign or be sacked by COB today. We were outplayed by a team who were more astute tactically. Every time they got a bye kick or there goalie had the ball both The RB and LB went to the corner flags to receive the ball griffiths was doing doggies to try and close them down himself RD did not have the know how to push our wingers up on to there full backs and for our full backs to push up on to the midfield area. A number of times griffiths did well to close down the 2 FB but then Ball MOTM in my opinion or Halliday would leave them midfield area to go and receive the ball from the goalie. in an area as soon as one of our players closed them Downthey just passed to the Rangers player who was available and in space. It was so blatant I can’t forgive RD for such blatant incompetence That’s the reason our players were blowing out ther bums after only 70 mins was because they were being made to run there socks off in ones instead of in 3/4 to press the ball.
