Do you seriously imagine that D.D. and the other corporate high fliers we have on our Board act according to P.L.`s wishes ?

Yes me. I remember Lenny’s team having the league in the bag only to lose to St J in an away game and handing the league to The Myth. He never gave youth a chance and to be honest his teams bored me but I went along because I support Celtic. I was glad when he decided to leave.

They wanted it more and it meant more to them than some of our players.
They never put Celtic under intense pressure and frequently failed to put the ball into the box from corners, fre kicks or open play.
They had a shape and stuck to it.
Celtic were a shambles without co-ordination for long spells.
I never felt they played better than Celtic for any significant period of time but like all the teams who beat us they took their chances when they came and profited from our poor decision making.

We didn’t deserve to win. It was one of the most hapless displays ever against an Ibrox based side who had inferior players throughout.

A Sevco supporter on SFM has just posted that what he learned from today’s game was that Celtic seemed to have enough to post a credible challenge to them next season.
If that is not a wake up call to the Celtic Board, I don’t know what is!
Real Madrid once fired a manager immediately he won La Liga because they thought the performances, particularly in Cup competitions, were inadequate.

before I retire for tonight, I agree with your take on this. They took short corners, short free kicks; they had a plan that they stuck to. They kept it on the deck and simply out passed us. They knew that we had tall defenders and did not do the high ball into the box. We just hoofed it up the park; without success.

I don’t comment much these days. Suffice to say that my love of Celtic has been seriously undermined by the destruction of sport in general by multi national corporations who toy with our tribal emotions in order to sell us products we don’t need. That been said, our defeat today was inevitable. We have misused the last four years to balance books with a boring, selfcontented, style of “football” that regards skill and courage as relics of a bygone age. Rangers died, but the spirit of the hun will always be with us. Their manager was far superiour to ours. Their poise was far superior to ours. We were headless chickens. They played football. Their lack of penetration saved our blushes. Top class football now lies in Spain, Germany, and God help us, England. Capitalism has destroyed the beautiful game. But what we do ?
This will all be forgotten about in a few weeks. All things will be back to normal

If that means that we lose the SPFL title to knock down then, rebuild Celtic, a Celtic to be structured without a PLC board well, that could be the dream that we thought we were getting all those long years ago when we all thought that, “…..the rebels had won.”
