Rebellious behaviour will last for years

916

It will surprise no one that Uefa have charged our football club with “the displaying of an offensive banner and setting off of fireworks [sic]by fans”, this action was as inevitable as the dawn.  At least some of our number believes setting off flares in a football stadium is a reasonable action and that provoking European football’s governing body is a smart thing to do.

In terms of protest, “**** Uefa” is not quite up there with Martin Luther’s Thesis or what we’ve witnessed in the Arab world this year.  It’s simple rebellious behaviour, which some of us are compelled by in our teens and a few take a long time to shake off.

Forget calls to self-police, I’ve never seen it work with a football support.  Ever.  If you think you are going to convince anyone the folly of profane banners, flares or even IRA chanting at a football game, save your breath.  Those who are up for the protest (whatever the subject is) are more likely to find your call for restraint as complicity.

This series of protest and consequence will run for years, will split the support and damage Celtic.  Neither the club nor the support has the leadership to do anything about it.  Copy and paste the thoughts you write on the subject, you can use them again without having to retype.

On the very day that HMRC are receiving widespread criticism for cutting deals and have approx £25Bn due from outstanding major tax cases. I await confirmation of the reports you are receiving.

The amount of Tax avoided or not paid by Ratners will be widely available, the amount (if they do) settle for will be widely available, I propose for the next ten years Celtic string them out, don’t pay them a penny until the last possible moment, or we have saved as much on Tax.

ha ha. total urine. The EK tax centre has nothing to do with the huns big tax case. none. The huns will not be given any ‘deal’. incase you havent noticed, HMRC knocked back a settlement offer under the previous board, and the current fud in charge has no say whatsoever in what happens now. Its MIH lawyers who are dealing with it on behalf of MIH/huns.

Celtic had their chance last year to sink the huns and sink the SFA refs etc. instead were in a worse off position with the board, polis, SFA, Huns, media, government uefa and whoever else fancies a pop, ready now not only to verbally give you it but now criminally.reap what u sow and we sowed the seeds of cowardice ….. The shame game being the most blatant act of rule bending to stick it to our club and fans that youre ever likely to see…ever…I love the club but at the moment the club stands for very little. It really is a shame we’ve got to this point

You’ll never stop bigotry in this s@@@hole of a country( not visually for all you hillwalkers out there) but we were that close to forcing punishment on them and there likes, and we didn’t have the guts to do it…. So instead of having a stranglehold on how these a@@@holes could be dealt with we bottled it and have left ourselves open to persecution …. And they’ve taken full advantage …..

And they will continue to do so.

This isn’t about the “minority” of rebel fans….

So many mistakes in such a short post – and I’m not on about spelling or punctuation.

You need to get wise over the tax case – otherwise the shock might kill you when the bad news arrives.

Still, at least you gave us all a laugh.

is there any way the huns can go into admin and then get back out of admin without paying the taxman

    I come in peace.

At the start of 2011, there was very little clarity regarding what might happen in the big tax case, I dare say even among middle management at Centre One. Things are a bit clearer now. If you have a read of the Rangerstaxcase blog, you will become better informed in 30 minutes than any middle manager at Centre One could possibly have been when you received that information.

    Give it a try.

To come out in their current form they would require a CVA that HMRC agree on.

These are the pennies in the pound deal you hear about.

Otherwise it’s liquidation and new co buying all of their assets and starting again. Phoenix.

  17. The Exiled Tim

HMRC might be able to arrest some of it. Their timing was spot on with the arrestment in August.

  18. Neil canamalar Lennon hunskelper extrordinaire on

    THM,

the receiver will have to convince the rest of the creditors that selling the assets in a block to the newco is the best price available, not sure how that could be achieved as the assets broken up and sold would most likely provide more.

  19. I'm Neil Lennon (tamrabam) on

    honest mistake

thanks for that but does that mean if

the tax man says the huns owe me 50 million

the huns piemaker says the huns owe me 1 million

the polis say the huns owe us 1 million ( but we can write that off!!)

    etc

so lets say the huns owe the world say 51 million quid but have only got say 5 million in the bank

does the taxman force them to sell off the park and players at market value

or do they accept one of these 5p in the pound, since 5p is better than nought

my life would be complete if the huns went to the wall and were no more, but deep down i jsut cant see it

(i didnt imagine woolies would go bust either right enough!!)

    Yip agreed.

I was only coming up with methods for there to still be a huns team at the end of the process which selling off its assets seperately would probably prevent.

If it’s true that the MBB has been deducting tax and NI from the wages but allegedly marginally less than enthusiastic about passing it along the line to HMRC, then regardless of the big tax case shenanigans, they would be able to arrest cash for that. This is what happened to Hearts, isn’t it? They have no big tax case or wee tax case, just ongoing PAYE issues, but as a result HMRC have served winding up orders.

im concerned that the likes of mother well were able to go into admin and then come back out again with no real damage done to them. they didnt need to sell the stadium for example

also in england a few teams have gone into admin and while they might have fallen a few divisions, they mostly seem to still own their own stadiums etc
