Return to Tannadice, Bisgrove’s chance slipped

105

Tannadice was the scene of some great Celtic games, a couple of memorable league wins and several hard luck stories.  The venue has been missed from the Premiership roster, a consequence of a strong football club falling into the hands of general incompetents.  Good to see United back.

Say what you like about Mike Ashley, he must be a nightmare to do business with, but at least he ships quality product.  How you leave Ashley behind and allow ‘two Tims from Liverpool’ to make matters worse, beggars belief.

This time last year, Newco had a route out of their matching deal with Sports Direct.  Commercial director, James Bisgrove, had to set an early deadline for offers for the new contract, then ask Sports Direct to match or decline the deal.  There are in excess of a dozen kit suppliers who would have been happy to pick the contract up, if Sports Direct declined, as they did.

A production slot would have been booked and a kit deal help pay the bills.  As it is, they left it too late for a production slot.  Castore were the only outfit prepared to hawk manufacturing around, whatever the cost to quality and reputation.

Still, the contract only has five years to run.

Its quite sad to hear folks who would rather bide with johnston and the crime syndicate than have a go at independence

I’m in my 60s both sets of Great grandparents were Irish and i cannae even get an Irish passport so me and mine can stay in Europe. Thatcher/Blair poll tax miners steel industry civil rights trades union you name it all battered. My Dad, RIP, was like a lot old labour men and remembers the times when snp etc all wanted to send the Irish back but he soften and supported Salmon/Sturgeon and the SNP for what they wanted and implimented in Scotland. For godsake put differences aside and lets get away from this bloody crime syndicate, who mark my words are ‘COMING FOR SCOTLAND’.

Also, I saw their ‘everygullibilly, anygullibilly’ ad at half time…so wooden and amateur. Embarrassing! Every colour imaginable but nae Catholics at awe…

Forrest is on the bench so going for pace – also maybe Elhammed can’t do 2 games in a week.

  7. Boris, Cummings et al. Plus the long term plundering of our natural resources.

I didn’t vote SNP but voted for independence in 2014 hoping against hope, as it turns out, that we might eventually have an independent, socialist Scotland.

I am even more committed to independence now as I watch fascist thieves plunder to an even more unacceptable level.

  8. Might be something to do with that fact that with Christie playing wide right Frimpong will act as more of a winger? I dunno!

  9. Somebody suggested Ajer was injured in the CL match but then how is he making the bench? I’m assuming he’s being dropped and if Bitton is starting, it looks like a real message to the board to get another CB in.
