Once Kouassi and Ntcham start playing regularly, people will forget about SA.
===============
On the evidence of last night, so will Southampton and West Brom.

Is that BFDJ the co-commentator?
Well it’s taken to 11.30 for BBC newsroom to mention our game and to show last night’s goal
TGM,
Financially Stuart moving is Wise,
Maybe he is indeed more interested in Law than Fitba.
I just don’t get him wanting to leave Celtic, at This Time. He ain’t all that.
Strangest of All things.
Take the £10Mill Celtic.

I enjoyed your post BUT you didn`t mention your jackpot !!

As well as Celtic qualifying last night I see Ajax did not get through, oh dear.

Haven’t seen any evidence of SA wanting to leave us.
It’s all about the money – Celtic has a value and if SA isn’t happy then it will be cheerio if the right offer comes in.
Trad88
I think you might be right.
I said from the off, you cannot be a superstar on the back of one good season.
I think SA has been badly advised, he should be listening to Brendan, rather than his agent.
And no doubt imo, that SA isnt as good as he thinks he is. Potential, yes indeed, but you have to prove it over several seasons, not one.
HH
Great result last night, and while I did not see the game from what I gather we were in control and steadfast throughout.
That is down to good man management and organisation plus belief in ourselves and the manager which was lacking (sadly) under Ronnie.
I hope we kick on and add to the squad. I would like to see another striker (yes I know it is difficult) we can call upon if there is to be a prolonged run in Europe.
A prolonged European run is what should be being planned for because I believe that it is very possible that we will get into Pot 3 and it, therefore, follows that if we do qualify for the group stages then we can aim at progressing in the Champions League or drop down to the later stages of the Europa League.
That means we need three strikers and a rotation system of sorts.
I don’t see Roberts coming back, to be honest, and so I think Celtic will have moved on from there although the door will be left open.
I know Brendan said that nothing was close last night but he would say that and now that we are one game away from qualification and can guarantee European Football I suspect that transfer dealings will move on with incoming players more interested in what is on offer.
BTW I don’t fancy the Champion’s League set up from next year onwards one single bit and I think it is completely designed to keep teams like ours out and to make the so called bigger clubs more wealthy.
Dead against that.
Well done Celtic – wee Paddy – come home son.
PETEC
SA should have listened to Brendan.
He is not ready for the English Premiership.

What do I want?
Saturday Fitba.

A very amusing reply :-)))

Anyone didn’t get a chance to watch the game last night, here is the last ten minutes of the first half, and the whole of the second half, enjoy.

I really want Scottish players in the Celtic team.
Brendan and Celtic have been incredibly Patient with the Dude.
I just don’t understand why he isnae signed up.
The Green Man says SACK THE Board on 3rd August 2017 11:38 am
Very true.
He is entitled to do what he wants of course, but he has it good at Celtic. He’s broken into the national team where the manager has commented on the advantages of having players used to the expectation/pressures of having to win every week.
If hes thinking of moving to a cannon fodder club in the EPL its purely down to money.
If I was in his boots and lets say not maybe a dyed in the wool Celtic man and thinking of my professional football career only, why not break the mould and try to get a move to Germany, Spain or Italy. He’d learn a lot more about the game in those places than he would playing for West Brom, nice lifestyle, not too far away from home, etc.
Or stay at Celtic where you made your name, broke through to the national team, and prove you’re not a one season wonder!

Looks like the laptop loyal have nothing to say about our ‘awful European away record’ this time.
BBC shortbread now top my list of the most anti Celtic organs out there.

Answered any begging letters yet?
Nice Tony D.
Big Stake.
The thing about Jamesy. None of the supporters know what he is going to do when he gets the ball, but then again, neither do opposing defenders:)
James is a bit like Frank McGarvey in that respect, and to give James his due, he is always likely to come up with something unorthodox, and vital.
Well done James Forrest.

No, lol, I keep sending mine out but :))
Keep LG in cotton wool till play off games, might see Aitchison getting game time in next few weeks
To be honest, even if we sell SA we only really need to bring back Paddy.
Hayes was poor last night. His first touch was shaky and the few times he was 1 on 1 with the fullback he didn’t have a go.
Doesn’t look a patch on Paddy.
Maybe a third striker but depends on availability.
TD67
I’ll set them up;0)

It’s the money from last seasons treble bet my brother and I had up, Celtic to win the treble £100:00. @ 7/1 wee paid our season tickets for this year £620:00 left us with £180:00 so I went in with the boots, and got lucky, the kitty is now building again, happy days.

Ok I’m lobbing a bomb in here…
Paddy Roberts..a myth in the making…?
Do I rate PR? 100% yes
Would I like Celtic to sign him…? Yes but not at any price. Not at much beyond £7m
Should he walk in as our top paid player? Absolutely not.
My recollection is that he was great when on form. He was ineffectual in other games.
He was by no means the player who carried the team to victory. In fact he wouldn’t have been in my top 5 performers last season.
There’s a collective delusion developing around PR.
That said..if he signed he could very well earn his place as a legend, he might become our best highest paid player..but he’s not quite there yet.
So I support BR approach. I’m keen on him. I’d take him at the right price but he is not a rod to beat CFC with if he doesn’t come.
I think LG will be on the bench for a couple of games and brought on when needed, imo.
CULTSBHOY
I think wages would be a bigger hurdle.
£30 grand a week aint gonna cut it!
Cultsbhoy
Id say thats a very fair analysis.
Brendan is the man, he knows what is right.
HH
Rosenborg boss Ingebrigtsen said “We gave Celtic too much respect in the first 45 minutes.”
Erm…. you deliberately set your team up like that in the first half. It was obvious due to how rigid a formation you were playing.
I think that tactically the Rosenborg manger made a complete @rse of it…
CULTSBHOY
I get where your coming from , I’m 50/50 on some of the points.
new article posted.
Tony D,
Maybe my over 3.5 goals first half will start coming up this season, the trouble is with the bet, there is only gonnae be 1 team scoring the goals. I don’t mind really. :))
I’m with Bada Bing on keeping the Griff in cotton wool .
Cameo roles unless we’re in need of his help , Griff that is …not Badas.
Hopefully mikey Johnson too.
Tommy Robinson …how ironic , his tv show is called
THEREBEL …
Cultsbhoy says Hail Hail to Hector and Brendan on 3rd August 2017 12:07 pm
Hes young, and showed marked improvement in his 18 months at the club. His goals at Firhill and Tynecastle towards the end of last season were inspired. He can dribble and pick the final pass.
Essentially everything Hayes didnt do last night.
Of course theres been games hes been anonymous and numerous times he came off the bench to great effect as opposed to starting games.
He’s got it though.
‘Collective delusion’ is a bit much.

My view on Paddy is that there was a genuine sense of excitement whenever he got the ball and that is what I want from a footballer. What he is worth I have no idea…
