I had my concerns but they dropped a bit when I knew Griffiths would play, even in the later stages.
A football team is like a racing car, it has to be aerodynamic in shape to perform at its best and it needs a strong under carriage to hold it steady.
With no CF and a not quite so tried and tested under carriage its not going to purr along and take corners smoothly.
Thus my concern, but I’ll say this for Brendan Rodgers, if he was a racing driver he would rival the greats.

I’ve still not seen anything that lifts Dembele above Griff, I can certainly see the untapped potential in Dembele but as players right now Griff is better.

Brendan will always choose Moosa, all things being equal, because Moussa is terrific at defending corner kicks and set pieces. Therein lies Moussa’s advantage.

Back to Rob McLean – I stand by what I say in that he is far from Anti Celtic.
I was listening half heartedly to the commentary on the Radio as I was driving home ( I was really only listening out for a goal) and from the commentary, I took the view that we were in control of the game but were not really creating chances.
As for the Hampden situation from a few years ago, I have posted on that before as I believe McLean had the savvy to know that he and Pat Nevin were being thrown to the lions by a rogue producer who instructed McLean to introduce the topic of alleged sectarian singing which he (McLean) could not hear but the producer allegedly could.
This instruction was completely contrary to a pre broadcast agreed protocol on what was to be discussed at half time (yes the BBC production style is to direct and pre determine the style of the half time chat) and so if you watch that broadcast again you will find that Mclean complies with the directive by introducing the item by saying something like “Those outside who can hear such things tell me ………” and he then turns the conversation over to Nevin who, stupidly, dives in and make a big deal out of non-existent singing.
I believe Mclean raised the issue of the producer’s instruction after the broadcast and was none too pleased with what happened and said so.
As I understand it, a small enquiry followed and the producer (who had previous) was formally reprimanded.
As was mentioned elsewhere, Rob Mclean’s son is a fanatical Celtic supporter.
