In Edinburgh vernacular:
Choose to deny the League money.
Choose to keep fans out of the game despite an acre of empty stand.
Choose to allow clubs to harm the game without commercial consequence.
Choose to embarrass a national showpiece.

  1. Good morning, friends.

Just about to head into work and face the usual ‘nice weekend?’ questions. Where shall I start….

    2 more sleeps ;-)

  2. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Big Jimmy, I hope you are eeping better.

Craig Moore was another nasty player. When we beat the huns mark 1 , 2 nil at Ibrox in 2001 , his assault on Henrik on the shy line , was a shocker. We got a shy.

Also, Bougherra going down Hooper’s Achilles in the alleged shame game was another shocker.

The list is endless of brutal and vicious hun defenders

  3. Gooooood Morning CQN

Absolutely torture when you need to go back to work after a wee break,

With a Huge Smile on your face :-)

In the absence of talent, teams can revert to bully bo tactics. In fact its what I expect from Hunco when we play them given they have no chance of out playing us.

Yesterday showed they dont even have that in their locker. Motherwell made them look like a team that is very easily intimidated.

  5. Sevco are a great team and Pedro’s got them playing good football if only they could play Patrick and Hamilton every week they would be the top dogs in Scotland:))

As it is every time they meet a half decent team they crumble, no spine and largely a theatrical performance do not winners make.

    Pedros Magical Exploding Caravan.

Be a good final between us and Motherwell.

Football wins every time the huns lose..

I’m not saying the referee had a good game yesterday…but what is also certain is that had the letter of the law been applied..the game could have been abandoned given the number of yellows handed out.

  7. Just when you thought that things couldn’t get any weirder over at The Stadium That John Brown Played For, have a look at johnjamessite this morning,

This isn’t a recommendation or endorsement of its content, but have a look anyway.

Already done so,mate. I’m sure third-party ownership is one of them things that’s against the rules for everyone bar the huns.

  9. Spent yesterday afternoon with my dad. He was in Aviemore last week. My sister was up with her family and in laws.

My dad described his relief that they couldn’t find a pub with BT cos all my nephew (st Mirren/Man U), bother in law and his father (killie) wanted to do was gloat gleefully at Celtic losing heavily.

I asked him if they’d proposed that killie hand back the £365k they received on the back of ourxeuropean efforts. Apparently this wasn’t mentioned.

My dad’s not a tim but he’s tim friendly. And his example to me in life helped me make my tim choices. But the scenario reminded me of how little you have to scratch the surface to find bitter, bitter Hunnish sentiments among do many other fellow Scots (north Brits)

Yes as I stated…their list of thugs is endless.

Happy Hoopy Birthday to MWD Junior…don’t know what age you are but maybe a beer or a soft drink for you today ?

FFS….That Chump Alves is also moaning to the smsm about how the huns goalie was “not allowed” to leave his goal line at Mudderwell’s 1st goal ?????

Yet again we have Hun players describing non existent “incidents”….Funny how NONE of those Hun players made any comments on Millers two footed lunge ( for one example) on Stuart Armstrong at Celtic Park…and ALL the other acts of thuggery that is obviously in their DNA to be a Hun Chump ?

    HaHaHa.

  11. Beautiful morning here again, made even better by that wee warm glow that comes after a weekend like that.

Only problem is,not a Hun anywhere here to give a skelping to.A verbal one.

No Ryan for the Dons on Wednesday.Dembele,Rogic, the Don skelper will sort them out.

  12. Something that seems to have been lost in the Alves incident. His initial challenge on the Well player was unbelievable. His legs were almost round the Well players neck.He actually landed on his shoulders. Then kicked out on the ground. No booking.

  13. JAMESGANG,

Agreed. First morning back in the office after Munich and comments from Dons fans were all about the mess which had been left in Marienplatz, and about misbehaviour ?? of visiting fans. they were soon put right on both issues, and shown tweets from Bayern about wanting to hire the Celtic fans, and German Police complimenting behaviour of fans.

When the SMSM myths about our fans were dispelled, they then tried to wind me up about the game, until i mentioned that Arsenal lost 5-1 there recently, and when i reminded them that, if Celtic qualify for CL next season, then SPFL clubs will have received over £1m each off the back of Celtics efforts, they all found some work to do……

And they are convinced they are going to win on Wednesday :-)))))

  14. Jamesgang,

I have often though the Celtic supporters through choice are actually more constructive than those of us born Celtic supporters.

However I think you are maybe being slightly harsh on your relatives.. Domestically we are invincibles , everybody wants to take our scalp.

As for the term Noth Brits to describe fellow Scots. ; really and why ?

AS you are just back from Bavaria and are an intelligent guy; did you call your Bavarian hosts “ South Germans “. As you are aware our UK Union is far older than the German one, and the historic cultural differences are more profound.

But hey it’s a blog where differing opinions are equally valid.

    HH to you.

I have to say this I cannot see Celtic ever losing another game in Scotland.

I honestly believe we will win the title for ever more

I honestly believe we will win the treble for evermore

We will strengthen the team every year by Brendan buying better players than we have at the moment

We will get stronger financially which will allow us to buy a certain calibre of player much better than any player tgat the teams in Scotland can afford

I know this might sound triumphant and not the Celtic way but I honestly believe it

This team is very strong mentally and in games against Scottish opposition I can’t see any team ever beating them

  17. Top of the League.Final of the first trophy.Qualified for the CL.Virtually certain of Europa League .According to Phil, banked around 40 odd million from last seasons CL,so can strengthen the team.Still unbeaten after 60 games in Scotland.

    Still some fans not happy.

I think I know what you mean.

If you treat each game one at a time,we have to be confident in the outcome. In each game, immediately prior to it,defeat seems improbable.

The problem is when you deal with the fixture schedule in its entirety. Then,no defeats seems hugely unlikely!

There are many reasons for this, such as the proverbial bad day at the office-I’m still barred from attending in Autumn after certain games v Morton and Hamilton-an outstanding individual or team performance from an opponent,a bad break or a dodgy ref.

Statistical improbability it’s called. Such as never having met in person a dodgy CQNer.

    So,aye-it’s possible!!!

  19. Phyllis Dietrichson on

CCE – I can see your line of thinking – Jonny Hayes was the best non-Celtic player in Scotland last year, and now he’s our fourth choice winger.

But I fear there will be a loss of confidence when Brendan leaves (hopefully not for another four years at least), and if we make another Deila-type appointment then we’ll see a decline. Still – enjoy it while it lasts.

sorry -dr alert. This one’s even funnier and is part of the miller anti foreign player attitude

‘Rangers need more British players in the team says former Ibrox star Charlie Adam’

They didn’t mind a host of tax avoiding players from all corners of the world in the glory days, oh this so decline where they sometimes reach the heights of mediocrity is soooo nice

that’s if br stays cce, you take a couple of key players out of the squad and we lose our zip and zing (yeah both of them).

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) has announced the following decisions:

Match: UEFA Champions League group stage match between Celtic FC and Paris Saint-Germain (0-5), played on 12 September in Scotland.

    Charges against Celtic FC:

    • Field invasion – Art. 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR)

    Charges against Paris Saint-Germain:

    • Acts of damage (seats broken) – Art. 16 (2) DR

    Decisions:

    The CEDB has decided:

    • To fine Celtic FC €10,000

    • To fine Paris Saint-Germain €5,000

So we got fined for that clown on the pitch only twice what PSG did for damaging seats? Result
