In Edinburgh vernacular:
Choose to deny the League money.
Choose to keep fans out of the game despite an acre of empty stand.
Choose to allow clubs to harm the game without commercial consequence.
Choose to embarrass a national showpiece.

  1. Big Packy, I thought we played some lovely football yesterday especially first half, tired a bit after half time and got a bit ragged but when the Subs came on we rallied again & saw the game out.

Ronny’s team never played like that.

There are 2 huge things to remember about yesterday. The Team had a very tough game Wed night, got back to Glasgow at 4am Thursday Morning and had a 12,15 Saturday kick off in a Cup Semi Final against a decent, rested & motivated team. Secondly Stupid refereeing gave the opposition a goal they shouldn’t have got.

Given the circumstances the fact we won the game at all should be hailed by all Celts as a tremendous achievement.

C’mon mate “By playing around at the back and inviting the opposition to try and close us down, it gives us that bit of space that we can use to break them down”.

Football’s a simple game there’s just no way that that level of methodology is employed.

I’ve heard other guff like it’s part of Rodger’s plan to drain team’s energy levels.

    Fanciful at best.

‘ Actually wanted Rangers to win would have been a much easier final !! ‘

  5. What did that clown look like today when was sent to the stand, refusing to sit down and standing next to the double doors. The goone that was with him in the red coat was trying to get him to sit beside King and the other con men but our Pedro was having none of it. Comedy gold at that place. Also struck me today what does the majority of their flags have to have the word Loyal in them, Loyal this Loyal that, their obsessed with Loyalism

  6. Bobby Davaro….Sunday variety at Butlins Ayr 83….

Was allowed on camp with his car…thought that meant he could drive down the chalet lines in West Camp and park outside his chalet….hahahahaha security chased him when the passing punters shoogled it ,setting off the car alarm….

Also had more than a passing liking to my pal Kelly…

    Hoopy days…

    Braw lad though…

    Braw.

  7. Choose Sevco’s Opponents…

There is one thing that I don’t quite understand about the Sevco Rangers Myth.

Now as we know Sevco Rangers are an average top six SPL outfit. They came through from the lower leagues as such, they struggled but ultimately managed to get promotion from the Second Tier as such and they have performed in the SPL as such.

Now many in England and abroad see Rangers as “the same Club” and think they are the second best Team in Scotland recovering from a hiatus.

Of course the Continuity Myth is looked on differently in Scotland, but many Rangers Fans and even those of other Clubs think Sevco are Scotland’s top Club underperforming.

Among these people there is one thing in common, they probably don’t give it too much thought (Sevco Rangers Fans appart) but they think if Sevco play a Scottish Team, that isn’t Celtic, Sevco should win, or at least be the best side.

Fair enuff, there has been a concerted effort from the Authorities, Punditry and SMSM to convince the mildly interested, the un-informed and the deluded that Rangers and the old firm are alive and wellish.

What I can’t understand though is the bookies, these guys have made a fortune out of being none of the above.

Yet we’ve seen it over and over, they get the odds on Sevco so wrong. We seen guys on CQN cleaning up after the Hibs game at Ibrox – they new Hibs has some good players and an excellent Manager who would be hungry for success there. The bookies didn’t seem to get it.

The odds when we played them at Ibrox were very close if I remember rightly.

We saw it again today, every way you look at it two evenly matched Teams at a Neutral venue. Ok Sevco have a mildly better record and will have the greater support but the odds were ridiculous.

Once again we have Celtic Supporters making cash out of what seems like the bookies ignorance.

So my question is, are the bookies really deluded by the Continuity Myth or is there some hard logic behind it?

It perplexes me. The only thing I can think off is that Sevco Fans bet on their Team in large numbers no matter who they are playing and what the odds are. So by keeping them short and taking their cash, so if Sevco fail to win they are coining it in.

It’s the only thing I can think of, other than these bookies are deluded. Odd odds…

    Hail Hail

  8. The bookies won’t have lost any money due to the amount of mug punters amongst the hun support piling in on a Sevco win, thinking it was easy money for them.

Not many poor destitute bookies put there…..

  9. Chairbhoy.

The first part of your post gives you the answer.

    It’s all about market forces.

So many others have been conned and think they are old Rangers and should win these games therefore foolishly back Sevco.

The bookies know this and consequently price accordingly.

    That’s my take on it.

    Hail Hail

  10. “choose to embarrass a national showpiece”

How do you embarrass those staging this “showpiece” when they base the whole Scoddish game on a lie, and come out with crap like this, with not an objection from the clubs having the urine extracted, ours in particular?

    https://spfl.co.uk/clubs/rangers/

It’s this shit that lets the likes of wee Currie et al come out with “Rangers”, the most successful club in the history of this competition, with no demurring to be found.

Anyway, only saw the last few minutes of Murderwell’s triumph, but I’d like to thank the Zombies for boycotting the match in their efforts to force the SFA/ SPFL into having a review.

And, remember, you can’t embarrass a farce.

  11. Davy hope you and yours are doing braw…

    I coach U 16 football.

Today reminded me of many crap U16 teams my team encounters. Sometimes they can get decent league positions but rarely beat proper football teams. I.understand the logic at U16 if you are a warped insecure coach hellbent on winning and creating the illusion you can coach.

Get bigger boys , punt the ball let your lads run faster, challenge with a physical advantage and shoot hard.

I don’t understand it at pro level.

Id be surprised if we don’t take 10 goals off Motherwell in the 3 games we play then in the next few weeks.

  13. Missed the second half of their game, first was an insult to football, delighted they are not in the final, had a wee look see on sevco media, pyoor magic :-)

Still warm high 20s at 10 o’clock, hottest October on record in Andalucia.

  14. Was watching SSN earlier, footage of Cardoso in the tunnel after the game with some band aid on his face and big fat Jabba standing behind him. Next minute Alves is doing an interview and all he keeps saying is Motherwell’s rough tactics shouldn’t be allowed. He kept repeating himself, it was obvious Jabba had put him in front of the SMSM and told him what to say.

  15. The problem (for them) is that the huns DON’T bet responsibly.

A mugs game, betting , so it is.

  16. Interesting to see the ref and 2 assistants have a wee “chat” to sort out how 1. Not to send off Moult, and miss the final, and 2. Keep Alves on the park. Like the penalty yesterday the officials knew what the correct decision was, but just couldn’t bring themselves to make it

Who could have predicted that the two semis would have two “honest mistakes” one costing Celtic and one favouring sevco.

  17. Didn’t know the score until I was dropping the bhoy off at his mums (btw he’ll be 16 tomorrow) and he tuned into Clyde for some music to find the moan in. Bhoy did I produce a cacophone of laughter.

Alves moaned about the physicality of the murderdwellers but it seems he had a wee go at a murderweller himself. Then moaned about their punt up the Park game. I bet ole ole ole Alec’s has a few punt up the parks also.

    Aleves is a fanny.

Funniest thing I have heard today was two knuckledraggers back fae the game today, in Tesco Knightswood. One opined that the ref was a papist cheatin bassa. Was the ref that hun McLean?

  19. TeT

This is the same Alves that was going to come here and smash everything in sight. They don’t do irony that mob which is all well and good as it’s a lot funnier for us :))

  20. Big Packy,

Keep posting what you think. It’s a blog , debate should be encouraged and your opinion is as valid as anyone’s.

    HH.

  21. CultsBhoy- Last of the famous international PlayBhoys on

I have some sympathy for Alves…

I think today he finally realised the enormity of the blunder he has made going to Sevco…

Such a fine reputation before …now at threat of being defined by his final ludicrous decision to join Hunco.

  22. JIMMYNOTPAUL @ 9:01 PM et al…

Think you must be right. The punters must be piling it on Sevco out of Loyalty or a misunderstanding of the Xenogenetics.

    Still seems odd though…

    Hail Hail

  23. Alves allegedly has an option after year 1 of his 2 year deal to do walking way. I would be astonished if he is still here next season.

  24. Watched sunday supplement on sky

Brendan must want to come back to the EPL = leicester

Do you think ancellotti would be embarrassed to go to leicester

Would you prefer Alves in the Celtic defence to Dedryck? I canny believe your opinion on our best defensive player. Bruno is a Portuguese donkey.
