You have to willfully ignore how complicated any transfer is never mind the importance of negotiating a good price to come up with dithering and penny pinching.
“Just paying the money” works fine until the next transfer or salary contract, then the next one and on and on. £200k isn’t nothing, especially if you times it by the number of deals in and out over a number of years. And you’re known to be a soft touch by buying and selling clubs and agents
