SFL is over but still busy times

921

The Scottish Football League programme is now finished with only play-offs still to complete but there is still a great deal of business to complete.  The remarkable persistence of First Division clubs to find a financial model which will allow them to retain full time football shows no sign of ending, despite the difficulties presented from a couple of quarters.

Meanwhile the Third Division champions have even more pressing matters.  They have now finished their league programme and can now officially be told what they have perhaps unofficially suspected for some weeks.  Charles Green has agreed to remain a director until the end of this month.  Before he goes the ownership of Ibrox, as well as the appropriateness of the club’s IPO in December, will need to be established.  They have a three week window but nothing happens until the lawyers report, which I expect this week.

It was two years ago today Sir David Murray took a £1 payment and relieved himself of outstanding commitments to Lloyds Banking Group, the legacy of his time at Rangers.  The support Craig Whyte received at critical times in the months which followed was breath-taking.  Every hack, side-kick, and numpty ‘fan’ who told the rest to set aside all common sense deserve a medal for what they did to that club.

They don’t even understand the mock-worship Celtic fans offer Whyte is a parody on where they were 2011-12.

Rangers were deducted 10 points in Feb 2012 because they went into administration.

It was beyond the Scottish football authorities control. 15 years of previous known abuse were not acted upon by the Scottish football authorities. Still so.

Immediately moves were underfoot to facilitate their re-entry into Scottish football’s top tier.

A complete depraved indifference to sporting integrity and fairness and justice.

To my pleasant suprise the average Scottish football punter spoke out in defiance and as a result the pariahs were parachuted into SFL 3.

It was beyond the Scottish football authorities control (apart from the SFL3 bit).

They should have been obliterated from history right then and there.

Efforts are being continuously made by the Scottish football institutions to facilitate their rehabilitaion so that they can “humiliate the tims”….heh

its the way I tell em!

    Still so.

Even now in retrospect they have been corrupt and criminal beyong reproach nothing has been done by the Scottish football authorities. maybe Gilmour is waiting to see if they buy his St. Mirrendom. Who cares?

They should have been obliterated from history right now.

Through it all Celtic realy did nothing.

Still not sure if that was a good idea.

    History will tell.

    I have my doubts.

So what has become of the beuatiful game?

last week Havelange was proven corrupt and a Spanish judge orders blood to be destroyed (probably some footballers blood in there I suspect along w/Nadal ( who only spoke up once he knew for sure his blood was burned).

    Total corruption everywhere.

Juventus players wrestling Celtic players to the ground at corners is nothing.

    Really.

I have reason to wonder why, who and how those assurances were given and that licence was ever granted by SFA.

@alextomo You really a scumbag cu** Thomson. RFC will be around long after you’re worm food.

This is the reason they are in this mess with attitudes like that.

In one instance they want the truth and in other instances they don’t, its a bit like the history, deep down they know its gone but the wee bird in the shoulder keeps telling them to say to tims they still have their history he he.

Two SFL1 clubs have confirmed to me that Stewart Regan contacted them to seek assurances that Sevco would not receive an invite to “SPL2”.

Phil MacGiollaBhain ‏@Pmacgiollabhain 8h To various: Regan was gratified to learn from the 2 SFL1 clubs that there were no plans to invite Sevco to New second tier.

    What a guy!

If someone even looked at him on the half way line he could end up on the deck in the penalty box!

Now that takes some doing. I think “The SpecialOne” must have had an old tape of JMcD to show his Porto players how to do it!

Great post……….I can, however, understand why Celtic maintained a dinified silence…for 2 reasons….

1)…..our Board knew they were heading to liquidation……..

2)…..our Board KNOW sevco are heading the same way

Can you imagine the fuel any Celtic input would have provided to the cretins in the media, and to the establishment…..not to mention to the neanderthols looking for any excuse to incite violence towards anyone / anything Celtic……….our Board are ‘playing a great game’

Their patience, and ours, will soon be rewarded when the assets are seized for the creditors…..HH

Here in the US many churches have ordained deacons. We have three in our local church.

When I was in Johannesburg, the early Sunday mass was celebrated by a couple of deacons who only missed the consecration. The priest took the opportunity to celebrate mass in some of the more remote smaller parishes or in the townships.

It would be easy to alleviate some of the load on priests by encouraging the laity to train for the deaconate.
