Sinclair will respond overwhelmingly

563

I won’t tell you Scott Sinclair has not experienced racism until the last year, but I suspect it is highly unlikely he has had to endure the vitriolic abuse he has gone through as a Celtic player anywhere in England. He must be wondering what century he travelled to when encountering the kind of ‘people’ who celebrate their racism.

Yesterday his name and a racist slogan was pinned to a bonfire in Belfast. Humanity is weaker as a consequence.

Scott will travel to that town on Friday to play for Celtic, a game his team-mates will ensure goes the right way. What I can tell you about Scott, is that he will respond with overwhelming drive in the season ahead. Specifically, he will rip the turf up at Ibrox in September.

    We need another Lefty.

    Can Jeremy Corbyn play wide?

  2. Great news we have signed Olivier Ntcham…

We went through a dark phase that ran for quite a few Seasons… where we were signing either projects or prospects or players… Not enough quality in each

Today we signed someone who fits all those Categories and has the qualities to boot…

    Welcome to Celtic Olivier Ntcham…

    On today’s lead…

I empathise totally with Scott Sinclair and what he has to put up with but I’m not going to get upset by the most narrow minded of the British people acting like playground imbeciles.

In fact I’m much more concerned about the insidious racism on this site…

    Hail Hail

  3. The position with Stuart Armstrong is that if he wants to go to the EPL, now could be the optium moment – also if Celtic want to sell him, now could be the optium moment – I think he will go!!!!

  4. Rock Tree Bhoy on

Sorry to see GMS go, was hoping BR could have sorted him out, good luck at AFC Gary, but not against us.

  5. As some of you are aware I am doing a wee locum job down in the Newcastle area, at the moment. Well I printed This out and was going to pin it onto my office door.

I relented because the practice manageress told me she would get into deep sh!t if I did. I thought to myself that they probably didn’t want drawing pin holes in the door, which is fair enough ;-))

I can’t see Paddy back unless it’s another loan, jeez Pedro would be having kittens splashing out more money, would love to see him back tho, just don’t think he will be.

It’s hard to see who would want Ciftci. I can see Henderson going back to Hibs too. The only other realistic departure would be Bitton.

  11. Frank on Clyde? Dragged it out to much, and lost with was it Gweedie? Started of great, then got personal, keep it simple.

    Here’s me telling Frank, I’m barred :))

  12. Now let me get this right, a club who have threatened their journalists, barred them from their stadium are still hero worshipped by them, a club who are champions, pay their bills on time, provide courtesy and access to players and staff , who entice new players to come and spend substantial amounts of money to do so , is ignored on the sports news of this same outlet. I wish I did not need to pay a TV license I would never tune into its output.

In cidentally Budge looking very pleased with herself about a new stand, pity she did not see the merit in complaining about a euro license given to a club existing on unknown funding whose chairman admits they are spending more than they draw in, I think that is called insolvency. It might have paid some of her bills , oh well

  13. Well I was wrong…turns out the dandies were willing to pay the money for GMS.

Thank you, Gary. All the best with Derek McInnnes and The Bottlemerchants…

  14. Saw a bit of Olivier’s press conference on ssn earlier today and couldn’t believe how the poor kid was completely nonplussed by the questions.

The look of confusion on his face a chorlting hack said “Moussa convinced him to sign on at Celtic now was his first act to be saying goodbye to Moussa”. The poor lad couldn’t work out what the hun hack was on about. I hope someone gripped the gobsh#€e warmly by the throat and warned him as to his future conduct. I mean literally not metaphorically.

  15. thetimreaper on

Curious that it’s only a 2 year deal that GMS has signed and that’s what he had left with us. I would imagine the fee would be around £500k but the player would need to halve his wages so either he’s accepted that or we have bunged him the difference. Either way i think we’ve done Aberdeen a turn which is fine because the stronger they are in the fight for 2nd place the better.

  16. I guess this means thems won’t be getting the green for the bigot bash?

ORGANISERS of a music festival at the Glasgow Green have confirmed the dates for next year’s event.

TRNSMT music festival will return to the city park on Friday, July 6 for three days finishing on Sunday, July 8.

More than 100,000 music revellers attended the three-day festival which ran from last Friday and Sunday, with headline acts including Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro.

DF Concerts confirmed on social media that the event will run in 2018 although no details of acts have been announced yet.

Owen – it rips my knitting the way we allow the Laptop Loyal, to ride roughshod over every presser we have.Rule No1- no mention of Sevco, or any current stories about them to be asked, only in the 1 presser we have before we play….sorry…beat…sorry…hammer them..HH

  18. Evening,

Good luck to GM-S, he will do a job up north.

Anyone know of any pubs on the south side (shawlands) showing the game on Friday?

  19. Dont think it is the policy of Celtic to control which questions can be asked , Our PR man is a Hearts supporter dont suppose he cares too much if someone is put on the spot or asked irrelevant stuff.I will never forget the NB deal and Peter Smith from STV was asking the NB guy and PL about Irish Republicanism, he also got away with asking that.
