Sinclair will respond overwhelmingly

563

I won’t tell you Scott Sinclair has not experienced racism until the last year, but I suspect it is highly unlikely he has had to endure the vitriolic abuse he has gone through as a Celtic player anywhere in England. He must be wondering what century he travelled to when encountering the kind of ‘people’ who celebrate their racism.

Yesterday his name and a racist slogan was pinned to a bonfire in Belfast. Humanity is weaker as a consequence.

Scott will travel to that town on Friday to play for Celtic, a game his team-mates will ensure goes the right way. What I can tell you about Scott, is that he will respond with overwhelming drive in the season ahead. Specifically, he will rip the turf up at Ibrox in September.

Hunbelievable, shameful and disturbing comment. Seems the DUP vote is swaying and normalising sectarian bigotry and hatred for the price of their fiture votes!

I used to play for TAB VC from Aberdeen, and also had a game or two with Bon Accord, also Aberdeen.

This would have been almost 40 years ago. :-(

I remember playing against Bellshill Cardinals on their home court, and they came up to a tournament we hosted. We were very friendly with Falkirk VC due to the fact that one of our guys had played for them before moving to Aberdeen. Had some great weekends away at various tournaments. It was as much about the social side as it was about the VB.

im with you on that, theyve catered well for the loss of Hayes and McGinn (Courtesy of us of course) but Ash Taylor kept somebody out of their regular defence for the majority of last season and he was gash now gone I believe.

I hope its a good game and they progress only because it would show up TFOD

  17. They are deluded hurting Huns grasping at anything to discredit us. I can almost feel their pain and its great. Taken from FF, Have a laugh at this pile of shite.

The essential differences between them and us.

We can have a laugh by posting things like “Jakey tims” and to be honest some of those photos are just too funny not to burst out laughing. No doubt they have copied our idea (yet again) and have their own version with doctored photos of Rangers supporters. However, apart from the funny photos, there is absolutely no doubt that we are completely different from them, not just physically but mentally too.

I won’t bore you with the obvious differences, with us (the good guys) believing in the basis of our society; Queen, country and our religion whereas they stand for the complete opposite.

No, it is not just these obvious differences but the less subtle but perhaps more important things in the long run.

The first thing to say is that they really do have the claim on victimhood, there is no other club in the world that comes near them when claiming discrimination, bias and persecution. This is one of their pillars of belief, take away their sense of grievance and they would struggle to survive. From day one of their inception right up to July, 2017, there is one continual thread of self-pity, their constant need to ‘beat ra huns’ and overall sense of triumphalism which sticks in the craw.

One would dread to think what their mindset would be had they endured what we have had to endure these last few years. Suicidal and clinically depressed are just a few words than spring to mind. Rangers supporters haven’t dwelt

on the huge difficulties we have faced, but showing a sense of stoicism and fearlessness, we have just got on with things and accepted all the shite that has been thrown our way. We haven’t sought to offer excuses, look for scapegoats or target our enemies.

Timmy constantly looks back so as to feed his paranoia, we constantly look forward with hope.

When you hear these phone ins, I swear before the various callers proclaim their allegiances, I can tell straight away whether they are one of us or one of them and that does include not hearing their name. So how do I know?

The tone of their comments, they are almost uniformly angry and upset. Their is a sense of being cheated which clings to the every utterance. Given how we exited Europe this year, you might have expected some bears to go on these phone ins and let fly. Quite the contrary, although most of these callers were clearly upset, they managed to maintain enough dignity and self decorum, that they helped rather than hindered the process. In recent years, when they got a drubbing they would inevitably appear on the show and make a complete **** of themselves.

Hysterical drama queens with their lisping voices, these are the moments I treasure, when their real spiteful character comes out.

There is one final element which makes us different from them. When they come on radio, they always try to sound intellectual and above it all. Forget the fact that a lot of the words they employ, they use incorrectly or pronounce incorrectly, it is more that they are incapable of forming and developing a logical argument. Their always have to invent an interior motive to explain their failures. Rangers supporters are concise, measured and always honest. They say what they have to say with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of meaning. We should never change our ways to accommodate the bigots.

  18. Celtic are linked with former Zenit striker Luka Dordevic.

His career record is 15 goals in 92 appearances. Admittedly only 34 of them were games he started. He looks like he has been a bit part player almost everywhere he went.

    Not promising.

  19. Bateen Bhoy ***STRIP THE TITLES*** on

Bon Accord were a division 1 team and took it quite seriously – had a number of P.E. teachers in their ranks, and 3 or 4 of guys who’d been Internationals at School and Under 21 level – took it way too seriously for me :-). I think Bon Accord may still be in existence – my Son played for them about 15 years ago for a wee while.

We played in the very first beach tournament which was played at Aberdeen beach, (may have been moved to Balmedie after that – more shelter because of the dunes) – and hosted by Occidental, which was followed by a p*** up at the Oxy Social Club in the evening.

and yes – it was a little chilly :-)

Who did you play for ? I had to stop playing after dislocating my shoulder playing Fitba’ – was kind of inconvenient when it used to ‘pop out’ mid-rally after that :-)
