  1. I have said it before it seems simple to me,to keep the players in their natural positions.Eddy coming in from the left,Jamesy from the right Ryan just behind them in no 10 role.Ntcham Broony Calmac, behind.

If Lenny is serious about the Brazilian CH,could signal us going 3 at the back a lot more often.

All good here, my good lady loves Christmas and she definitely runs this holiday period …

Am looking forward to Sunday, the Sevs have never won at Celtic Park on this incarnation & Morelos has never scored against us, this might change one day and if it’s Sunday Neil Lennon will still have my 100% backing, I think they had their chance at Hampden and weren’t good enough to take it … in my opinion Neil’s team won’t be that open again … Elyounoussi not fit (a risk Neil took) and Edouard not fit to start … we will be a far different proposition on Sunday …. we are going to hammer somebody in the Spl… it could be THEM :-)

Look – I have a brain that can do more than one thing at a time, obviously something foreign to you.

I support Celtic and have the ability, indeed the right, to praise or criticise as I see fit. Have you heard the phrase ‘you pay your money and you take your choice”? As a Celtic supporter I have been doing this for fifty years. Do don’t you tell me judgementally what I can, or, cannot do. Disagree by all means but keep the name-calling and snide remarks to yourself.

Lenny has been a revelation .

His predecessor`s team is currently taking a hammering. Perhaps we got the better of the deal after all. :-)

    Only time will tell.

Any win on Sunday would be wonderful.

I assume nothing and take nothing for granted.

A hun game is a one off .

  5. Thuv come ooot early………………thur must be a hun game in the offin’…………….

    The kurious an’ koncerned………sleekits.

    HHH.

Utter tripe & ‘head in the sand’ nonsense to accuse me of a sinister interest in Sevco.

In business, as in sport, it is the intelligent position to know who your biggest & nearest competitors are, and, to be able to be dispassionate in your assessment of them – your own continued success depends on it. Blind faith is not a basis for cerebral debate – snide personal remarks are spiteful & childish.

In my opinion Brendan was a terrific (domestic) manager for us, a great fit, and gave me & many others magical Celtic times …. BUT his midnight flit was terrible, if he came out and said am leaving in the summer I have done all I can … blah blah blah … I think a lot of us would have bought that … fate is fate … we move on, personally I think time is a great healer (I loved Maurice Johnston :-) trust me time is a healer

Neil Lennon left Leicester for Celtic for less money … his predecessor doubled his wages when disappearing in the dark of night

As a Neil Lennon fanatic I didn’t even expect it to go as well as it has …

Steven Gerrard has yet to beat Neil Lennon while Neil has been the Celtic manager … and I think if he ever does it will be in the next decade :-) by the way think Lenny also has a decent record as a Hibs manager against the Scottish media’s golden boy

  8. Liverpool utterly flawless today. The worthy world champions showed zero effects from their Qatar exertions. They were perfect from front to back, using all three subs. Leicester were completely dominated from start to finish, and given a football lesson. Fantastic to watch. I think the Reds will win the Champions League again.

    Snide & childish ?

    Don’t think so

Have a wee read back to your own posts … you have been salivating about the Sevco defeat at Hampden

    They lost

Instead of worrying about what didn’t happen or what could happen .. why not just enjoy Celtic ?

    Business is nothing like football

If you base your business like football you’ll end up liquidated

  10. Neil is now showing a certain stubbornness in team selection. He is getting away with it against most teams in terms of results, which is great, but on occasion, fortuitous.

Our overall performance can drop to alarming levels, sometimes leaving you ‘scratching your head’

Taylor, or Hayes for Boli, any day of the week. Forrest on the right is s no-brainer. Christie in the No10 position is a no-brainer. Johnson starting on the left is a no-brainer.

Boli is something, fast, good feet – but never a left-back in a hundred years.

Ntcham is technically gifted, but a million miles away from what Christie gives us in that position.

The team is not suddenly bad – it is unbalanced and stuttering. There is time to fix it before we are made to pay.

  11. glendalystonsils on

We didn’t set the heather on fire today but am I right in thinking that the huns scraped past managerless Kilmarnock 1-0 on their own midden by virtue of a Morelas goal which was much more offside than Eddy’s?

Lenny has succeeded in the face of the most vicious provocation. His loyalty is unquestioned and unquestionable.

I get the impression that he now has to succeed against a significantly greater challenge than Brendan faced.

He deserves to be supported in the Board room.

I trust that he will be .

  13. I came on here to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas. I’m feeling slightly mystified at the negativity So far. The main task today was to secure the precious three points that were at stake. How we did it wasn’t so important. Mission accomplished. They are a stuffy team, physically big and give many teams problems. You have to remember this was our 8th game in December. Of those 6 were league games and we have amassed 18 points, won the a League Cup and lost one dead rubber match. A remarkable feat. One of the reasons Goldson and Helander enjoyed so much aerial success in our box was because Odsonne was not playing. He is a tremendous asset to us at set pieces and corner kicks for our opponents. Can I also remind you that we started the game with 10 men. Lewis Morgan was played hopelessly out of position giving us no out ball. We then lost Frimpong for a lengthy period. We played a hopelessly unfit Elyounoussi. In short, team selection, tactics and luck with injuries were catastrophic for us.

It will be different on Sunday. We have fit players for every position, our fans will lift the team and we should let the opposition do the worrying.

  14. These are strange times. 11 League wins in a row, 17 wins from 19 and yet today there was much moaning amongst what was at times a muted support. Online forums, blogs, Twitter etc are congested with complaints, concerns and worries.

My theory is that this is because we are being challenged in a manner that just a short time ago seemed implausible. Deep down we are all feeling the pressure and know what is at stake this season. Not achieving out objectives is unthinkable but unfortunately it is possible.

It seems like everyone is trying put out fires before they ignite. Statistically we are in the midst of one of our best ever campaigns. But we are not pulling clear. Today we reached the halfway point of the League campaign. The remaining 19 matches, starting on Sunday, will not be for the faint hearted.

“Snide & childish”?, yes, when you choose not to engage in debate, but instead make a personal attack & take up a faux ‘high-ground’ position.

Does criticising something_someone you cherish on occasions mean you love less, of course not? One often constructively criticises one’s own family simply because one loves and want the best from them.

I won’t address your comments about business, they are nonsensical.

    ………………………………..

Eddie was not offside when he received the ball as BT sport demonstrated. It was James who scored the goal.

  17. glendalystonsils on

I think the availability of a fit Eddy on Sunday will make a huge difference on it’s own . When he came on in the LC final he terrified their defence in a way that Morgan was not equipped to do.

Agree with all you say, but consider this: if you drive a high-performance top of the range car thst has won ‘car of the year’ for 9 years “on the trot’, wouldn’t you be stupid to ignore warning lights that have been coming on regularly whilst driving around, before setting off on an important and more hazardous journey

  19. McNut

    I know I shouldn’t …

“ He is getting away with it against most teams in terms of results”

What about home and away wins against the Italian super cup winners

Would you as a Celtic fan think Neil is getting away with it ??

Mate… he has lost 4 games of football since February and two (Huns away & Cluj away) didn’t count … I sincerely hope he keeps “getting away with it”

Didn’t Eddy have the ball in the net for 3-0 when he was wrongly flagged offside by Ross?

  21. TOSB – Glendaly was referring to a different offside with FE whereby he was wrongly ruled offside by the Tory bassa running the line.

A mixture of incompetence and cheating.

  22. I think my Bhoy is stealing my Stella.

Went to the fridge earlier and it was bare. ☹️

Trip to local shop only to find it was closed.

Having to make do with a Glen Marnoch 12 year old single malt.

    Tough times. 😁

  23. What? You mean Odsonne was ruled offside by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Scotland?

  24. GFTB @ 22:38

I did say most teams – it is precisely the disparity in performance between the Lazio matches you mention, and the overall display today, that leaves the ‘thinking’ supporter utterly perplexed. We are not ‘miles better’ than this current Ibrox side – that is fact. With what we have at our disposal, I would expect us to see them off this season and put real daylight berween us and them again next. However to ignore our misfiring and believe that “it will be alright in the night” is naivety in the extreme

  25. Thu’ll do thur Level best………………….to get in aboooot us………….

    It’s whit they dooooooooooo.

    Aye.

  26. McNut 11.06pm

    I think we are …

They have won the square root of hee haw… like St Mirren today if things go well for them the Sevs might get close in a one off 90mins … but if you think there isn’t much between Neil’s team and Gerrards team … that shows me me what you actually know … Celtic collect trophies and I know this might RBs one day but St Johnstone, Inverness etc have won more trophies than the 2nd biggest funded team in Scotland … enjoy Celtic … although you seem to focus on our rivals … the Petrofac Cup is their only cup in coming up for 8yrs in February … they will beat us one day… sure Clyde even beat Roy Keane & co … enjoy these wonderful times … we can worry when we stop collecting trophy after trophy 🏆

  27. McNut,

    “I’m a ‘thinking’ supporter

    Faithful through and through…”

    Thought it was ‘Celtic’???????)

At our worst and down to 10 men they couldn’t beat us. Add to that the favourable refereeing that meant ole Alf couldn’t be booked until he fecked up.

We’re at home and NFL has been planning for this game for the last 3 games.

    Glasgow is Green and White.

  28. Ps. Gerry, naw. I’ll still be sleeping at nine. 😂😂😂🍀🍀🍀

Not in till Monday after I’ve had my Sevco Sunday Funday.
