OMG — I have two teenagers who put up better arguments than that to try and excuse their stupidity and immaturity on a regular basis.

Barrel scraping of the worst sort — childish nonsense — do we import civic norms from other parts of the world wholesale or do we just hope for the best and pray that the bits you can cope with turn up?

  2. THELURKINTIM

I respect your opinion on this matter. I don’t agree but that’s fair enough.

Football can be a unifying factor also. I do not involve myself in other peoples debates.

Just dont like to see whole swathes of people tarnished by the acts of a daft individual.

  3. glendalystonsils on

We are showing the effects of several demanding seasons with inadequate breaks ,further eaten into by international commitments , injuries , players returning from injury not yet up to speed , sudden defection of an entire management team ,several players futures up in the air…………….

Could explain the poor fare recently. Remarkable really , that title no 8 is almost tied up before the split.

  4. Whole swathes of people — the outdoorsy half of the St Al’s Sixth Year Common room more like.

  5. MM

I didnt excuse it. I said in my previous post they need to pull up whoever did it and warn them not to do it again and it’s not acceptable

But i’m not going to wet my knickers about it either

  6. Oldtim

Your setting out of the problem is spot on.

Less so your suggested solution big guy. Why not choose you, or me, or Jobo, or hammytim, or Helen, or the holy goalie to be randomly chosen to be banned???

Not fair. Find the culprit. Don’t ever punish the majority who are good and innocent.

    HH auld yin. Jg

  7. At least the banger who threw the banger managed to find the pitch.

The last I saw he tried to fight a double glazed window with a plastic chair and lost.

  8. B83 @ 11.15

Oh — the old self regulation angle.

Last resort of the scoundrel, the Tory party and their neo liberal hangers on in business and now the GB.

Not sure that idea is a goer.

  9. Jamesgang is jist deflecting…he knows it was Jobo ;-))…am curious…who’s hammytim and why aren’t they posting

  10. MADMITCH @ 11.13

    You are generalising again.

Firstly, have you ever been in that Common Room?

Secondly, do you have evidence of Pyro Planning from that source?

Perhaps you should go in to the standing section and fix the “problems “ in there. Or is the issue with the young activists in the SNP?

I am not being obstructive, I am no supporter of the pyro activities. I don’t wish to see blame passed down the wrong route

  11. Corkcelt.

I must sincerely appologise if you were offended by my post,it’s only my opinion, If throwing Fireworks on to the pitch isn’t stopped, it could get worse, the perpetrators must be punished, or it could get worse.

I never saw the game tonight, but read on here that the green brigade was involved, My suggestion in the last post was to get the Green Brigade to point out the said perpetrator.and if they don’t then Celtic should take action.

Again I’m sorry if it offended anyone.

    Goodnight all.

  12. Oldtim67…if football becomes sanitised…it becomes a plaything…;-))

    H.H.

  13. Big Ollie never a centre forward in a million years. Tremendous speed but ball control zero. Skied one over the bar from a yard then missed a sitter. NTCHAM hesitated in his run up. Keeper going right and Ntcham hits it right ! Have to brush up on our penalties and corners. Still 3 points and a clean sheet and young Christie back.

  14. blantyretim is praying for the Knox family on

Are the wee arseholes of today any different from the arseholes who used to throw bottles from the back of the Celtic end and jungle who cared nothing about the kids who stood st the front or are the kids at the front the arseholes who then thought they could run riot in the 70’s 80’s and now the clowns who throw piros now, nope, all those arseholes where arseholes then and see arseholes now,

I have supported Celtic for over50 years and have never indulged in any of this , my daughter now continues to follow the Celtic and doesn’t indulge in anything that will embarrass her family never mind her football club…

We lived through Churchill, Thatcher and now May but there is no excuse for being and absolute arse ….

  15. Have to say the game tonight was fairly boring and routine. Only Weah, Christie and Edouard enhanced their reputation. N’tcham was ok (except for the penalty miss).

NFL has his work cut out to keep shuffling the pack and letting some know that Cup places will go to those CURRENTLY in form, not those who had a good season. We need a defence that is willing to put its body on the line.

The Livi game should see a few of the overworked players (Forrest, McGregor, Brown and, maybe Lustig) rested.

There were signs of complacency at 1:0 and Neil will have seen them too.

Livi, with their SPFL future secure, will be more direct and free from anxiety on Saturday. Get 3 points there and keep the feel good factor going till the following week’s SC semi-final

  16. I wish I was overworked last year wae my 45 hour week n 3 1/4 to 3 3/4 hour travellin time was takin into affect

  17. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

BLANTYRETIM – agree – arseholes are indeed what they are – don’t give a shit about Celtic.

Very similar to the casuals that came before them – all about them and no concern for Celtic, other Celtic fans or, for that matter, other people.

Me and Wee BGFC ended up having heated arguments with St Mirren fans on they way back to the car after the game – the usual walk back in mixed company at Paisley involves having a philosophical chat with the locals about the game – never any rancour.

Not the first example of this at various previously friendly grounds (even Ross County!) over the past couple of years directly as a result of these wee tits dragging our hard-won good name through the mud. Not sure what can be done – might be direct action by other Celtic fans as was the case with the casuals at Easter Road.

AN TEARMANN – agree completely with your sentiment – sad day for the wider Labour movement.

You’ll gather from my previous comment, and having been in the vicinity of them several times. although not tonight (in the other stand), it is stretching credulity to say the flares and bangers are coming from plants – and heaven knows experience leaves me very suspicious of some who do not have our interests at heart, and who see football fans as an easy political target.

    HH – and much respect.

SFTB…I fully expected, and did for 7 months, work to the highest non-sense…then my body sais…wtf are u doin…14-15 hour days are you nuts…seems I was ;-))

  19. TheLurkinTim on

    SFTB…whit’s elite? I’ve got math/optical surveyance/chemical materials n civil/structural engineering management up the wazoo…makes me the best me I can be…but It’s still no me ;-))

  20. Karma seems to have a habit of sneaking up and biting back when you least expect it!

Young Italian Moise Kean of Ivorian parentage scores for Juve and celebrates in front of opposition support and is bombarded with monkey noises from the Cagliari fans. Teammate Bonucci initially said he brought it on himself but in the last 24 hours has set new world records in back-pedalling to distance himself from his earlier comments.

So how will our media justify their condemnation of Scott Brown celebrating in front of opposition fans while lauding Kean for doing the same? Don’t hold your breath…..

  21. spikeysauldman on

    the pyro

may or may not have been the GB

but remember they were blamed for the seats at fir park a while back and it was not them

    broonie’s amazing hypnotising

not only did he force alfredo and kent to hit him, he forced the st mirren keeper to play on despite being “hit with somehting altho they weren’t sure” (richard gordon actually said words to that effect) or maybe broonie had a cure for phonophobia up his sleeve

    routine wins with some slackness

wow I’ve never seen them before home or away in the same amount of years supporting the Tic as BT !

at one point in the second half, the half were st mirren were good, the possession stats were 81-19 !

could have been worse – we could have played like real madrid. one thing neither BT nor I have seen is 8 trophies in a row and maybe 9

Hope you’re pullin thru BT – KTF

  22. spikeysauldman on

Broonie has had aholes on the pitch trying to get at him, social media attacks on his late sister (and TB), assaults on the pitch v ross county, hearts, aberdeen and the huns.

There are ex-players and fans saying he wouldnt have got away with that with players from the past – they’d have done him i.e. winding up is bad, deliberately trying to end careers is good

(Or maybe Broonie should have just spat on them, or paid for their “services” like “classy” captains from another team)

When he winds them up its bring back the death penalty.

Broonie is a Celtic Legend – Our Captain.

  23. We can argue whether they are part of the Green Brigade or acting on their own – doesn’t really matter. What is clear is they are masquerading as Celtic fans and most if not all of us don’t want them anywhere near our club. Call them out now , get rid of them and let’s get back to talking about football. All these muppets are doing is giving the authorities and others fuel for sticking the boot into us.

  24. Good morning CQN from a chilly Garngad

Not a great performance but it’s 3 points.

The only thing I would say is Lenny isn’t convincing me with his substitutions. For instance could we not have brought on a forward thinking player for Lustig and went 3 at the back, only my opinion of course. I also think he has been told not to make too many changes and get the league and cup wrapped up, the danger is the semi final. I am sure he will be fine.

I think if he does get the gig he will obviously do things his own way.

    D. :)

  25. Garngad to Croy on

Scott Brown was shocking , any good magician should be able to levitate whilst standing on one leg. He should hang up his Magic Hat in shame !

  26. morning bhoys from a partly sunny Cheshire, another 3 points toward the title.hh.

  27. Having just watched the Highlights, I won`t be surprised if the Compliance Officer issues two retrospective Reds –Broonie and the St Mirren player who elbowed Ajer.

The Ajer one was quite obvious. Broonie`s is difficult ( for me ) to decide wether or not it was avoidable or, indeed , intentional

  28. Morning BIG PACKY1 – Noted and acknowledge your post at 5:22 last evening. Having just received D66’s news, thought it best not to reply straight away. Take care, Big Mhan.
