WE don’t care if we Win, Lose,or Draw.

    So Sad PJ

  2. Congrats to St Mirren. A well disciplined, well-organised display and they won fair and square without dodgy refereeing. Good to see Scottish opponents prepared to have a go but we should have shown some maturity, stability and desire. Time to resolve the psychological issues in our team. When we decide to play, nobody is safe. Otherwise, a pub team could take us on. I don’t get it!

  3. I doubt that performance will have Arsenal opening their chequebook for Wanyama.

Looked like he couldn’t be bothered, and he wasn’t the only one.

    Positives?

    1. Stokes is back.

    2. Those who say Scottish football is dead are proved wrong.

  4. I'm Neil Lennon (tamrabam) on

Pretty much as poor as the game that finally nailed tony Mowbray but maybe the kick up the behookie that we needed before juve come visiting. No pass marks for anyone and the midfield were second best throughout

Broonie is the only man in the team today.

I must have watched a different match ?-)))))

  6. Nobody cares about the LC – total waste of time I M O . One less game to play . The real games are against Juve but well done st mirren their fans will look forward to a final they’ve got a fair chance of winning.

  7. Danny Lennons 451 had us beat all day long, their combination play left us stranded time after time but saying that we created enough chances to put them away.

One thing that i will never understand is why, in this case big charlie, that players who are having a stinker of a game take penalty kicks.

Good luck to St.Mirren in the final

  8. neganon2 – bollocks. I am not blaming supporters for the on field debacle, but to read comments about “he’s shite”, “he’s crap”, and “he just isn’t Celtic class” are simply hunnish they make me sick.

  9. Gene's a Bhoys name on

When we start a game poorly we don’t seem to be able to step up -the penalty miss summed it up a very lax effort

  10. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

The paitch seemed OK, but we couldn’t string 2 passes together….strange

  11. Collin had a decent game I thought, for him.

    Well done Saints. Well deserved.

if your gonna slag a player off give us all your thoughts on who should replace them?

be realistic aswell, hoopers had it today, mulgrew big lucas…. who are we to get to replace these guys if they are so bad?

and what would our season be like without them

    Faithful through & through..

But you knew in first five minutes, players looked like they d been up all night playing their x boxes.

Heavy pitch certainly gave us more of an issue and I m not sure why?

Hampden becoming a nightmare for us ..

Thomson had time for his goal to pick himself up after slipping , settle then score..

Obviously the MSM will go into melt down ..

Just keep reminding them fholks what the reality is..

    Off for the night..

  15. Well done to St. Mirren, looking like they wanted it far more today.

Think the criticism of Zaluska is a bit harsh, admittedly ive only seen the 3rd goal once but, he didnt have a chance with some of the defending in front of him

  16. Poor performances can be accepted but a lack of pure hunger and desire can not be. A few players aside, too many just didn’t want it enough and that’s usually the difference in cup games. Also, I know hindsight is a great thing but we’ve got 3 strikers on the pitch, two of which have scored pens for us in the past, along with our captain, who had scored his fair share in the last few years, and mulgrew steps up? As soon as he did I knew that he wouldn’t score but I think others should be stepping up and no hiding at the edge of the box!

  17. It’s the end of January and this is the first competition that we entered that we now can’t win. Not a great day, but given the prizes we are chasing, it’s not the worst either. Also, our history in this competition is really awful over a very long period of time. Congratulations to St Mirren. Onwards to the other three competitions…. oh and don’t forget to practice penalties… just in case.

  18. peterscarff – NO, these are the real game Juve is a bonus. We have just lost the chance of the treble to St.Mirren fir feck sake.

Is this a Celtic site? semi final defeat and the whole team disinterested and talentless? Could have scored a few today. Lost goals at bad times and didn’t take our chances. Ask golfers, snooker players, darts players or anyone involved in any precision sports. The smallest margins make the difference to the scoreline. Hit the bar a couple of times, miss a penalty, St mirren score with almost every threatening attack and there you have it, a cup semi defeat. It’s the same Celtic we supported and admired over the last few weeks and it’ll be the same Celtic when we win the league and take on Juve in the champions league. No team wins every match and tournament so when we gain perspective we will accept defeat and wish the saints well in the final. Learn from defeat.

Maybe we need to stop talking about trebles. The Saints thoroughly deserved their victory, every one of their players worked their socks off the whole game. Good luck to the Paisley boys in the final!

  21. Malc – you are blaming supporters because you cant see straight when it comes to this Celtic Team. That is nothing short of bizzare.

And if you werent sitting there watching that and becoming angrier and angrier then you are not a Celtic supporter. Perhaps you like balance sheets tho?

Borderlandbhoy – so if you criticise a player you have to say who replaces them. What a load of rubbish.

Team were rubbish, manager was rubbish – we are complacent and lazy – pure and simple.

  22. Apart from blowing the final whistle, Collum didn’t seem to warrant any criticism from us today?

  23. Glendalystonsils likes a mr whippy with his lime green jelly on

    ItaliaBhoy

agreed. If we are only going to win 3 out of the 4 competitions this year I’d gladly give up the “fabric of Scottish Society” cup.

Having said that, I’m still gutted at the way we played today.

  24. stephenofderby,

Very true, but today’s performance was reminiscent of similar Hampden games against Ross County, Hertz, and Killie.

    Lacklustre, demotivated, sloppy.

It’s worrying that it keeps happening.

  25. Borderland bhoy, are we not allowed to have an opinion, are wr just supposed to accept mediocrity ehen these players are payed more in a week than most are payed in a year? Do you not criticise anyone, not the politicians or bankers? Or is that just unfair, if the people arent happy they have the right to say.
