  1. If only our players had half the desire and commitment of st mirren today. Well done st mirren. Celtic players have really let us down.

  2. greenyinfurrafenian on

Ok we didn’t win, it happens. Need to get the heads right for next weekend that’s what this weeks all about at the lennox. Hope st mirren go on to win the cup (obviously)

  3. Aah well that only leaves the league, scottish cup and champions league to go for , real bummer eh ?

Disappointed with todays result too but you win most, you lose some.

  4. Footballers get one way performance related pay

What about when they perform so poorly??

If I don’t turn up for work I don’t get paid. Simple.

  5. I’d make every one of them ruin round hampden until they were sick. They quit before they started, they let us down. Hope they realize how bad this was.

  6. Real real poor stuff from Zaluska and Mulgrew, shocking performance , let down again, can’t believe this.

Here comes the “some fans need to take a good look at themselves” line.

Bugger, well done StMirren, who said Scottish football is dead ?

A wee question for any one in attendance

At the end of the warm up session,

did the irrigation system operate before or after the Celtic players left the field ?

  11. This was St. Mirren’s Barca moment and we shouldn’t begrudge them their joy and their victory. Maybe a lot of us myself included were guilty of underestimating St. Mirren, we have all got a mighty kick in the ass, and that my friends is what life and football does to you.

  12. Joe Filippis Haircut on

It is as simple as this the Celtic players let our wonderfull support down today.A lot of them need to take a long hard look in the mirror.Lennie once again started with the wrong eleven Zaluska Wilson and Mulgrew the soft centre of our defence Lennie the tinkerman tinkered once to often. H.H..

  13. mulgrew was dreadful, and zaluska culpable for their third.

collum couldn’t wait to blow the whistle, mind…

  14. Snake Plissken on

No harm to St Mirren. Good luck to them in the final. I will be supporting them in the final but yet again this will bring out all the clowns who go on and on about Neil Lennon and big games.

This team have won 3 from 8 games at Hampden.

St Mirren are a decent side who play football the right way but a team who Celtic regularly take 4 or 5 goals off. Those were their only ever goals under Danny Lennon against Celtic.

This simply shows just how bad Celtic were today collectively.

It comes down to attitude, desire and strength of character. NO ONE on the park had any of it.

Congratulations Celtic you have ruined another outstanding chance of a treble in a country where you are the only football team who are any good.

St Mirren’s players wanted that more than Celtic’s today and that is not on.

    Absolutely sickening.

  15. borderlandbhoy on

funny how all the haters come oot the woodwork when we loose a game

“ah’ve always hated him” “ah’ve said before he’s sh*te” “no up to the job” etc etc

bollocks to you all, these are the same players that have given us a bit pride and respect back in europe and the rest of the uk, never heard you when we were dumping barca benfica or moscow

    GROW UP!

hail hail from A CELTIC FAN

  16. Hugh Bonkle fae Dallas on

Dreadful. There’s something wrong with this team. Teams with lesser ability turn up at Hampden and turn us over regularly. Not acceptable that St. Mirren showed more desire than us.

Not a great day for Zaluska. Looked nervy throughout the game. Playing behind that lot must have really boosted his confidence. Lazy bar stewards.

  18. greenyinfurrafenian – ok but it should not b happening St.Mirren should never beat us in a semi final. We should have the hunger and desire to win the treble in every game.

  19. sixtaeseven - 4 fouls 4 cards & penalty, a day in the life on

Saints played out their skins and fully deserve their win.

Pity – the treble is lost.

After some fabulous recent displays, nothing clicked today.

Need to get their heads together again for the important games coming up.

    Hail Hail

  20. Jaysus!! If one more person says something along the lines of: one of those days, that’ll take us back to earth, get a bad performance out of the way etc I’ll flip!!!! We have been dire all season domestically. This performance has been consistently happening all season. We need to sort this out. Not clichés about not being out day.

  21. Closest friends just rang the doorbell……thank god for that.

They must’ve heard the result and come to console us as we recover from a sore afternoon.

But, I gotta admit this, voguepunter was right in what he said to me.

    Celtic then, now, forever.

    HH!

  22. Pet Navan………..refers to Thompson as Tommo……..

    Clearly delighted.

    Boak.

  23. McGuiness needs to get inside some of these players heads and sort out what goes on. As soon as they think they are doing well they go out and forget the basics. Watch the first goal. Wilson on no mans land.

Was Mulgrew the designated penalty taker? It was a good save but he put it a height the keeper was comfortable at. Low and hard and pick your corner.

Time and time again we tried to play through St Mirren about 30-35 yards out. Back Heels and flicks into space were not coming off. Hooper and Lassad should have learned after this happend twice that they needed to pass into the space they could see and move on.

Only the treble on now then.

  24. Sorry to say, but congrats Saint Mirren.

We seem to struggle at Hamden. Not sure if we think we only have to turn up, that’s a bit of a disservice to the opposition who played well.

Danny Lennon set up his team to play against us.

Things could have gone so differently, penalty miss, crossbar twice, but thems the breaks.

    Disappointed.

Good luck to St. Mirren, they wanted it more than we did today. Some embarrassingly poor performances by some of our guys today who looked like they had their boots on the wrong feet.

We can’t afford to let teams like St. mirren take the lead against us because we don’t have the guile to break down the inevitable 11 man defence.

Absolutely agree. Well put. Nothing else to add apart from well done to them.

When teams score first we always struggle.

Our one dimensional coaching struggles when we fall behind.

Agree on congratulating Danny Lennon his team were well prepared and beat us playing football with a smarter tactical plan
