My 6 year old grand daughter was having a wee sugar high last week.
My wife gave her a row a couple,of times and eventually threatened a 5 minute sentence on the “naughty step.”
That provoked a full blown strop that only females seem capable of.
She claimed nobody liked her, she is spoiled rotten by us, and that she was getting out of our sight.
Cue a quick visit to the fridge, a raid on the biscuit cupboard, and she packed her school bag with the goodies.
She then went into the small bathroom, locked the door and started playing music.
We left her for 15 minutes, thankful for the peace and quiet before she eventually emerged when Jaffa cakes were finished.
After consoling her with even more sweets and biscuits we handed her back to her mother still on a sugar high.
Point? Is there one?
We can’t act like prima donnas when things don’t go our way.
We don’t just love our kids, grand kids and football team when we they are angelic.
And finally
Trust the person in charge to take responsibility to sort out the problems.

Same here, didn’t really think much of There will be blood apart from the Day Lewis’ performance. Lincoln is similar, you can appreciate the effort but I wouldn’t call it enjoyable.
Hampden is becoming a particular Dead Zone for Neil – in his latter years as a player and as a manager.
He keeps getting the first half wrong – and runs out of time to get the second half right.
He moved from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2 because of St Mirren, yet kept Lassad in the team – I’d love him to explain that logic – because the man did nothing this game to justify his appearance in either formation…
Let that be a lesson for Dundee Utd, don’t take the wee teams for granted.

Borderlandbhoy, not at all saying that they’ve become bad players overnight at all, BUT it is fair to say those good players, Sammy, Charlie, Lassad were awful today, and others, Victor, Joe L, Hoops, Wilson and Izzy were very poor. The attitude was poor from the start today and we’ve all been over this course before – Killie in last year’s final, Old Huns before that, Hearts in SC semi, lot of home games this season.
It does seem that when we are big favourites, we think that just turning up is enough – challenge for Lenny is to instill a much more professional attitude in his team, so that their ability will win the game, but to do that, the attitude must be right. Today it wasn’t. It’s is a lesson that should have been learnt by now and it clearly wasn’t. Team was complacent and lazy in its defending today.
Just back from Hampden- even the traffic was slow in getting away.
At the risk of upsetting Philbhoy, I will say well done St. Mirren! Their players and fans showed more hunger than ours and their win was, unfortunately, fully deserved. No complaints about the ref (except the usual one about calculation of injury time) and, without making excuses of any kind, I think the Hampden surface remains poor, though St. Mirren did well enough on it.
I thought Neil was right in describing our performance as “soulless”. We lacked pace and urgency for all but the 15 minutes after half time. Only Brown and Hooper get pass marks (Commons tried hard but was off form) and that is not enough to beat even a limited team like St. Mirren when they are fired up.
We do have a Hampden hoodoo now to go along with our previous League Cup hoodoo.
We lost a good chance of a St. Patrick’s day final and, of course, the very rare and hard-to-win “treble”.
Overall, I remain pleased with my team and my manager but, today, we let ourselves down badly.
Came on, just as we left and the now cup shock conditioned Celtic support prepared to exit the embarrassing stadium that masquerades as national, *no running water* after another head scratching performance where ‘better’ players were beaten by a team second from the bottom of a league, we’re winning in a canter.
Personally I think it’s psycholigical and I’ve witnessed ‘rotten’ Celtic sides, wipe the floor with St.Mirren and their like, and here we have a ‘last sixteen side’ eliminated. It’s happening in football every other week, but I won’t bother with Neil’s after match interview as I’ve already heard it, but he’s not analysed and discovered why Celtic don’t play at Hampden, it’s not an isolated incident.
Too many poor Celtic performances and fingers could be pointed in too many directions today, so not a day for Blogging football talk, meeting CQN’s finest, eases the pain, along with a mazy quick run home.
Sandman on
Lassad’s a finisher.
How many chances did we create for him today?
The one I remember him getting he put his shot on target, hit the St.Mirren captain’s chest then arm and we got a penalty.
apart from that a few flicks and touches arounfd the box and a couple of slide-rule passes unlucky not to set someone through.
But if he’s to be judged, let us judge him when he’s been given the chance to use his ability in front of goal.
Similar with Zaluska – feel sorry for him getting scapegoated by some given none of the goals were his fault. He was unlucky with the 3rd, did well to get a paw on it given the pace Thompsom hit it at. He, like Lassad at the other end was let down by the poor efforts of those between them.
And Gary Hooper will have impressed none of England’s top guns with his first touch – not a chance of surviving in the frenzy of the EPL when you can’t make the ball stick more than 2 out of 5 deliveries with your back to goal.

Our defense allows looks uncertain playing in front of Zaluska.
And with his recent performances its understandable.
Did not think he was particularly to blame today but he didn’t do anything to give us the chance to win.
First goal was not his fault but his attempt was pitiful.
On the penalty neither he or any other player or supporter of Celtic expected him to get anywhere near it.
Third goal was a decent shot but his effort again was pretty poor.
If Forster leaves or is out for extended period then our season is in jeopardy as having Zaluska in net has a negative effect on the team
