The future is Scott Bain’s, if he can grasp it

842

It’s just another story of a player sitting in the stands at Dundee before moving to the bench at Hibs and then a four year contract at Celtic.  All in less than four months.  Scott Bain is 26 years old and were it not for a personal issue with Neil McCann would still be at Dens Park.

Instead, he will see out his 20s as a Celtic goalkeeper.  He is 11 years younger than Dorus de Vries (37) and 9 younger than Craig Gordon (35).  He caught Brendan Rodgers eye and is now a development project for the manager.  The future is his, if he can grasp it.

Congratulations on your new contract, Scott.

  1. ” When the rangers lose some supporters would go home and give their wives a bit of a bashing ”

I wonder if ACGR is in the hoose…I need hom to give me a call…

Long story with the mobile phone situation for me….starting on Monday morning when I went to the site toilet.

Anyone who has kept a mobile in the top breast pocket of overalls will know the manouver in the site bogs…left arm out, aa sideways shrug to get the shoulder out, the left side of the overalls flop down…..cascading the contents of the breast pocket onto the floor…..

Only on Monday morning it cascaded my mobile into the toilet.

Quick as I was in fishing the thing out, (fortunately no dirty predecessor), it died slowly over the next 5 mins or so.

Anyway, now all sorted with a new phone…but much data lost…including ACGR’s number.

(BMCUW….your number was one of the few saved to the SIM card.)

    Kojo,eh?

This was the fella who introduced the blog to the word miscegenation, with a direct reference to President Obama and pairing a thoroughbred with a mule?

    Aye,I really miss him.

Saw that Willie Waddell interview before.

    Totally inexcusable attitude

..however probably a comment made in late 60s early 70s when attitudes to that type of behaviour was a lot different to today.

Lets be real about it. Wife beating is an equal opportunities employer.

  15. The Hun conundrum

Got a nephew who donated my wife a kidney. He supports Sevco. He marries a practising Catholic and his wee boy is going to a Catholic school in August.

Absolute good guy with a big heart.

But guess what, deep down he is a Hun.

    Hard to square.

  16. Alasdair MacLean

I sense a new thread starting.

My mobile in a toilet story

Interstate 81 in Virginia, service type area for usual reasons.

Gents bog, stall 3 of 5, the stalls where the walls stop about 8 inches from the floor & everybody gets to see the shoes of the person next door – that type.

I do my usual as I wait for things to happen – start scrolling thro my phone.

Upon completion of primary function, I place phone and wallet on top of the oversized bogroll holder on the wall while I adjust clothing.

In next stall someone opens the door, banging the wall & sending my phone & wallet tumbling & skiting across the floor.

The wallet is my priority so I bend down & grab it while still holding onto my as yet unfastened breeks.

The phone though has gone awol, so my with wallet in my mouth I buckle up my breeks.

Searching high & loo – (sorry) so I’m forced to get on my knees on the wet floor & somehow scan the adjacent stalls without causing alarm to their occupants.

I see it & reach thro, grab it & retreat to a standing position in my stall.

Ready to bolt for it now, I suddenly realize that there’s smething wrong with my phone.

I only have half of it – the battery cover and battery are missing, having come off in the rammy.

Oh Feck or something I moan…

Then the battery & cover get slid thro by the next door occupant’s size 13 boots.

Tying to sound as tough as I could I growled “thanks” and ran for it.

To this day, my wife demands that I give her my phone before I go into motorway toilets.

    I don’t argue.

Not really. Only if you class it a derogatory term. I am in the camp that all ” Rangers” people are huns. No distinction between good and bad. Justa wide reaching collective term.

    HH and best wishes.
