The Null and Void Loyal will continue to campaign

238

After Uefa, the national associations, the ECA and others met by videoconference yesterday, the decision was taken to allow domestic leagues and cups until 30 June to complete.  This is an interim state, leagues will almost certainly not complete by June.

A working group has been setup “to examine calendar solutions that would allow for the completion of the current season and any other consequences”.  The Null and Void Loyal, so desperate to avoid relegation or yet another abject failure, have been halted, but they will use every moment between now and June to obstruct an early return of the game and further their own cause.

Domestic competitions must continue if at all possible.  We want to win the league on the field of play, not by edict from Nyon, but you and I have a role to play in ensuring those who only want to deny Celtic their historic achievements, are placed firmly back in their box.

I cannot feel angry at them, this is all they have to live for, but if you want to stop an opponent win a title, or avoid relegation, win more football games, don’t try to do so through PR.

RANGERS are not a new club. They didn’t die in 2012. I’ve never believed that or written anything close to it. Those who spend their life banging on about Sevco need to find a hobby. Or a friend. Those who believe a football club’s identity exists on deeds, who the owner happens to be or all that boring stuff usually aren’t that into football.

Some might argue that the overwhelming majority of journalists in Scotland know the truth and initially published the truth. Due to commercial imperatives and in some cases physical intimidation they have created a Continuation construct to stave off a boycott by the one-eyed bigots who turn up at Ibrox season after season to wade in Fenian blood.

John – its football – ask yourself if the shoe was on the other foot how do you think Celtic claiming to be the same club would go down….

When Rangers football club ceased to be a common undertaking by four founders and became an incorporated company in 1899, it was given a unique company registration number and became subject to company law. When this company failed to achieve a Creditors Voluntary Agreement it was renamed and is now in the final throes of liquidation. Rangers no longer exists. There is no separation of club from company.

My neighbour just showed me something on his `phone saying just that. I just had a cursory glance but I thought it looked like a hoax.

  8. Football clubs are not detached from the rest of society. Players are not exempt from life changing social upheaval.

I think Hearts are just being sensible and realistic , many more clubs will follow.

    “We’re all in this together.”

    HH to all.

  9. I have been looking at a number of sites and Newsnow Celtic, there is now a majority of stories against Celtic being awarded the title. Null and Void is only one of the variety of solutions. There seems to be a concerted campaign by the Dark side to push this narrative. SFA and SPFL sources are included in the stories but no direct quotes.

I would think that Celtic may require to take this to UEFAs arbitration in Sport Tribunal

  11. I think the Hearts move is the tip of the Ice Berg, I think most Scottish Clubs are on the brink.

I imagine a lot of Clubs in England will be under pressure as well,If this drags on.

This emergency could be the catalyst for a complete overhaul of the structures of football in the UK & in Europe,

Hearing from a good source that lockdown coming this weekend, with all shops other than chemist and supermarket remaining open.Police and army deployed so you need to prove your local to get into supermarket (I.e. if you live in Stirling you won’t get into a supermarket in Perth) HH

  13. Re the Title I want us to win it on the pitch.

There are still millions of people in the UK going to work every day.

50 or 60 people in an open air environment would not constitute a major Health Risk.

Play out the games, playing twice a week behind closed doors, Leagues would be over in a month.

Keep the Cup Semis & Final till the start of next season.

There is such a famine of live Sport on TV, the rights for all of these games could be sold for big money.

Some may be already sold under existing deals but a lot more would not.

The games could be staggered so there would be a game available to TV every night.

  14. Once the Irish Government started to move here, WhatsApp went into overdrive with all kinds of rumours of Army being deployed etc. All the rumours turned out to be pure shite.

That was the experience here anyway,

  15. Corkcelt

I hope so too , my daughter in laws sister works for a big company and it came from the M.D.HH

  16. So Hearts are the first to admit they are in trouble

I know Celtic have cash reserves but the longer this goes on the more depleted they will become, when it runs out it runs out

I know football is the least of our worries at the minute but it’s very worrying all the same

  17. PapaJoe, I too got info from what I thought was a very reliable source but it turned out to be nonsense.

  18. U. S. Plan anticipates18 month long pandemic and widespread shortages. If this scenario is replicated In the U.K., there will be no fitba’ next season. Bog paper is as hard to find in the U.S,

as in the U.K. Stranger still, you can’t find an AK47, Uzi or Remington for love or money over here. Selfish hoarding barstewards have even grabbed every lousy Glock, and Smith and Wesson, stripping gun stores bare. What the hell am I supposed to do if someone breaks in and comes after my 12-pack of Charmin Soft double-ply?

  19. I suspect we’ll hear much more talk about league reconstruction in the weeks ahead and no doubt, Celtic, will be expected to reduce our share of league income to accommodate. Some Clubs may try to use null and void as leverage against us.

Although imo null and void would be turkeys voting for Christmas in terms of club finances.

    catching up with larry david,

    the episode with John Hamm,

    it is quite brilliant

  22. Apparently there are around 80,000 in the British Army and there are 44,000 towns/villages/cities

Two soldiers might be able to enforce this rumoured lockdown in Achiltibuie but Glasgow might present logistical problems.

Are you in the north, I had booked a five day break to Donegal for eight of us from our village all big Celtic fans staying in Dungloe at the start of May ,six of us with Arranmore connections and seven with Burtonport connections and our Scottish pal who comes everywhere with us. My two surviving brothers 74 and 78 were coming we were so looking forward to it ,but all up in the air now. I was getting pelters for arranging on the weekend of the cup final ,but as I am the only one still a season ticket holder (they all have been in the past) I was the only one likely to get a ticket. Aging from sixty to seventy eight let’s hope we are all here to be able to go again when this blows over.HH

  24. Apropros of nothing other than hoping to give those suffering from Cabin Fever something light to think about, ” One Flew over the Cuckoo`s nest ” was my favourite film.

What did we say before the expression `Cabin Fever` came into our lexicon?
