There is worse to come

812

Neil Lennon said we didn’t deserve to lose 4-1, as we dominated large parts of the game against a team who have lost their last four games (not against Celtic), conceding 14 goals in the process.  But oh, Neil, we absolutely deserved to lose by at least that margin.

Our disorganisation is a marvel.  Scott managing to start his jump goal-side of a dropping ball and ending up wrong side.  Callum playing three onside.  Kris A. not committing to block the cross (forgiven, trying to cover two positions), Chris J. attempting to intercept with the wrong foot (forgiven, fitness).  Hatem reliving his Ferencvaros highlights.  Full backs who are never back and produce few assists; there is no defensive midfield, unless you count the goalkeeper who feels the need to leave his box and play that position, just a midfield of nomads.

The team is a collection of individuals unencumbered by a workable strategy.  Opposition managers have their game plan written: defend deep, play on the counter and put numbers forward at set-pieces.  If we could defend counter-attacks and corner kicks, we would be having a legendary season, but we can’t, so everyone looks awful.

In sport, if you have evident fatal flaws and persistently fail to resolve them, you deserve every setback that comes your way.  It is hard to recall a Celtic team that deserved to lose more.  Let me give you a cheery prediction, you will soon forget about last night, as there is worse to come.

Taking Celtic & emotion out of the equation … (a bit difficult)

The Huns then and (probably now) are flaunting the laws of the land …

    Pheonixism ???

I said from day dot Craig Whyte knew more about liquidation than the HmRC specialists … (I use that term loosely)

If the authorities are willing to let it slide what can Celtic Plc do ???

By the way I am never standing up for any Celtic board … but surely it’s not a football issue when it’s breaking the law with a company with holding tax money ?

What would be a satisfactory end game for your good self ??

Fitba is riddled with dishonesty from cheating at thrown ins to trying to get away with elbowing a fellow human in the gub … every football “gravy” train is corrupt …. I can assure you nothing will ever happen to the “Gers” am quite content knowing they are cheating baw stewards … but the Celtic board probably think they are a bigger asset than a liability in the ole balance sheet … many many Celtic fans want a Hun to go up against

    ================

I think one has already been confirmed as achieved by your good self in that many now know as a fact they are cheating baw stewards. They also will know from the Res12 site to be updated that we have some of our own in the sense of cheating the support since 2012.

Another is making the Celtic Board and via them the SFA accountable and if Celtic are to be trusted they are going to approach the SFA because Celtic in turn are accountable to shareholders and have responded to them. THAT is accountability.

Res11 has achieved its aim , it stopped Celtic avoiding dealing with the issues and had them implicitly admitted there are issues to be dealt with.

However it shouldn’t have taken 7 years and there are lessons to be learned from the Res12 experience that if taken up by the support will stop the Board acting in an unaccountable manner and ever again accepting an agreement that requires them to mislead the Celtic support.

I’ll set out the lessons after the AGM and those that really want a say in how Celtic respect our founding ethos can pick up or ignore and those that do not gaf either way can go on paying to watch a corrupt game, home or away.

    Good question btw. :)

  5. Auldheid 1.31am

I knew the cnuts had been cheating since Souness and Butcher & co

They always cheated … it’s in their DNA

But again through Paul’s site,Phil Mac the sadly missed Albion Rovers fan Paul McConville, and you & the other 3 Resoultuoners …. but many miss the most important point … your target was the SFA … when it becomes a Celtic v Rangers the aim is lost

  6. Auldheid 1.10am

Again … Celtic are one of 42 members of the SFA … why has not one other member complained ??

    Gravy train ?

    Fitba = dishonest

  7. GFTB

It was the SFA who put out that , helped by the media.

They did so because they knew they could not afford to be investigated. Hence them stopping the process.

Not having control of the media bloggers can only challenge their self serving propaganda via social media.

  8. GFTB

Football the world over is an interdependent industry.

In normal business if one fails their customers go elsewhere. In football they leave if a club goes bust.

The industry in Scotland could not afford to lose 50k supporters and TV money that is higher because of the poisonous rivalry that exists.

That is the golden goose no club was prepared to kill even Celtic who delayed and delayed making any statement on what they believed even after being handed evidence they had been the victims of fraud.

Now Celtic would have sought advice privately on whether there was a case to answer and if answer was no case, that would have been correct justification for ending Res12. On the other hand if advice was they were defrauded, or already knew that in 2011 and they did not like the consequences, then they would do what they did, divert attention from the key issue by focussing on the monitoring period when no sanction would apply until following season not to mention insisting shareholders go down a judicial cul de sac.

So we have a setup that is totally corrupt but arguably survives on that very corruption.

The idea that Celtic are part of it though is going to meet resistance as it means a loss of the social element that attracts many as much as the football.

  9. Good morning all from a dark and frosty morning in the Garngad

GFTB – Sorry I fell asleep last night. Big Jimmy has been black balled I think because of a couple of clique’y bullies who could not take their own medicine and a nutter that loves everyone ta bits.

Now today I hope we get not only a win but we need to show marked improvement (feck a win would be an improvement). Seriously though we need to put on a show and get everyone back on side. I know it’s only RC but from “small acorns” and all that.

  10. Hello again all you young rebels

    Park road 67

Another great day in the Irish town of Koroit, thought that was maybe Gaelic

but it’s aboriginal, I think I told you all the meaning yesterday 8-))

Wanted another looksee into the history of the place and it’s really amazing,

all the shops had the old wooden fruit crates outside them filled with what

I thought were decent pairs of shoes, the crates were painted as the tricolour

and reading the brochure every pair sold for 5 dollars then the money goes to

charity, that’s your Celtic ethos right there.

Wore my United Irishmen top today, knew it would be a winner, thank you Almore

of this parish for a wonderful gift, the problem me and the princess had was

we couldn’t get eating our steak and Guinness pie for people asking me if we

knew their distant relatives in Donegal, Dublin, or even Glesgy when they heard

    my accent.

A walk through the local park gave us another eye opener, a massive Elm tree had

been chopped and I assume axed into a statue of an early Irish settler, the plaque

on the base was titled..The Spudpicker..What tickled me was obviously years later

someone drilled a hole to fit a flagpole to fit a tricolour into it.

Suppose it’s the little things but it done it for me.

Left to drive back to my base at Warrnambool with my big bag of tatties, some for

planting and some for eating, can’t wait, never seen so many different varieties.

I picked Gallaghers Gold, they sounded and looked delicious.

Now it’s time for a few glasses of the Rid Biddy, and my everlasting question, do I

go to bed early and get up for the gemme, or watch it pashed?

I feel we’re going to get a show of intent from The Bhoys, so no way do I want to

    wait till the morning.

So lets go bhoys, your playing for a people, a cause, don’t let us down again.

  13. Morning Mick,

Hope you and the family are good. I noticed your very generous offer to entertain any travelling Celtic fan in your neck of the woods and couldn’t help thinking of a time at school when a pal let it be known that he had an empty that weekend.

I think he’s still paying back his parents for the damage that was done :-)

  14. FRANK TERRY

Ha..ha through experience I know the Celtic family are better than that lol.

I’ve had a few from the blog staying here and met many others for beers etc.

I know your jesting, but I think any damage to my place would be by me and

    Mr Rid Biddy wrestling.

  15. Auldheid 5.18am

Cheers for the reply … like BRTH your words on here are always interesting and very informative… but the wider Celtic support aren’t that interested in integrity and just want the football team to win :-)

David66… Big Jimmy was probably too honest for his own good and sometimes on this blog can get sucked in and a red card is the result …

Big Jimmy … if lurking, only the good guys get a red card :-) I have had a few maself, take a wee time out and get back on here AND try and give the Hun antagonists or Celtic chumps a body swerve …

Still 100% behind Neil Lennon 🍀

  16. And … if, and I know if is a very wee word with a big meaning …. “if” we get the 10 this season I sincerely hope Neil keeps the trophy as far away from the North Curve as possible … put it in front of the main stand or the Celtic end (this from a former lover of the GB) their “wee” dig at our manager during the week has lost them one supporter, all the good they have down in the past (in my opinion) showed them up as spoilt brats … 2006-2020…. not for me, hope Lenny feels the same

  17. …. and ….

    Their Twitter “statement” …

    Should have been signed off

“we deserve better” because (in my opinion) that’s who they remind me of

  18. DAVID66

Morning mate,I didn’t realise Big Jimmy had been black balled ,thought he was taking a wee break.

If you see him tell I was asking after the him .hh

  19. GFTB- Have you done an all nighter? Yer some mhan.👍

MM – I’m sure Jimmy would not want you to deny this blog of your walk about tales from down under and all the fabulous work you do promoting our famous club as well as showing all those young ins how tae kick a baw.

I will call the big man later and find out what’s happening and make sure all is well.

I cannot wait to see what bag of tricks turn up fir us today, please, please, please try and play the same team and get some consistency Lenny.

  20. As long as the freemasons are still running the majority of rest of Scottish football clubs and FTSFA , the corruption will always be there.

GFTB you ask what or why it’s only Celtic that are asking questions, well there’s your answer.

But the reality is, when good men do nothing, then nothing changes. I believe the point of RES12 was to hold the FTSFA to account and the narrative has been twisted to suit the powers at be. They are trying to say it’s about Celtic and rangers, it has nothing to do with the hun, only their licence approval.

If you are happy for the corrupt governance of the game to continue then that’s your choice. Me I would prefer to watch the wrestling as at least you know it’s a pantomime.

I cant believe that people have gobbled up the drivel they are being feed and cant see through the spin by our board, MSM and FTSFA.

You can lead a horse to water, but if this gets buried, I for one wont be back and my siblings will be introduced to another sport.

  21. Guys I will check in with Jimmy later.

I maybe should not have said that without checking with him. In case he did not want me to say, so Jimmy if you are reading. Apologies Amigo.

  22. David66 8.38am

I sleep all week and come alive at the weekend … I try and give the blog a miss (like the bevy) Monday-Friday then the weekend is fair game :-)

My “all nighters” are well behind me … but always up early on a Saturday & Sunday my mind still thinks am playing Saturday/Sunday morning leagues but thankfully the rest of my body realises am just up to make the wee yin her breakfast … (the Mrs starts work at 5am so I have the run if the house/ipad :-)

  23. GFTB – Enjoy what’s left of your weekend buddy.

I hope the Leather Belts put on a show for us all today.

    D :)

  24. Pitymevin 8.41am

Apologies if my posts read that I am “happy” with the way our football is governed … that’s pretty miles away from what I think ….

But 99% of my thoughts are with Celtic on the football park … I know the Huns always cheat, I know our authorities let them, I am also content knowing they liquidated … but I still think Celtic need some sort of team from Govan to go up against … maybe I, and the majority Celtic fans that I know … need an enemy from the south side ?? Who knows …

I sincerely think our (Celtic fans) worries just now are majorly influenced by how well Stevie Gees team are performing …

or maybe that’s just me :-)

  25. GFTB, you are correct about supporters wanting the huns to beat, but as I said RES 12 isn’t about killing the hun it’s about cleaning up the FTSFA.

    Remember Caddete.

    Remember Dougie, Dougie

Remember the vile abuse our current manager received as he questioned the refs and many many more.

This is our chance to effectively change the system and not for our benefit, but for the benefit of all.

I could be wrong and our board are going to wait until the hun qualify for the ECL and then take the FTSFA to court and get the whole of Scottish football band from all comps. But I cant see that, can you?

  26. Pitymevin 9.11am

I think I come across on here as some sort of “board apologist” that again is so far from the truth … but i dint think our board want the Hun to succeed … although 2 teams do qualify for the CL this season … so maybe, just maybe, they think losing a league is financially viable in the long run … not for me, I want Celtic to win every title but again that’s just a fans outlook but a business view … Celtic / Falkirk double for me today … as my wee maw used to say about me …. “a fool and his money are easily parted” :-)

  27. Sorry, we now have clear evidence of the corruption within FTSFA and if we don’t use it, then the corruption will continue.

We must hold to account the people at the top and be brave and clear in our convictions. Don’t listen to the narrative about it being Celtic and rangers. Get the message out there, its about FTSFA.

Hail hail for the time being anyway

  28. To say I expect a win today is a bit like saying I expect it to be Monday tomorrow when I wake up. I have had my fill of ludicrous post match utterances from Lennon in recent times . Today is simply the first of a series of games we must win ( no draws, no hard luck stories) to include Sevco on 2 January. At that point we can take stock of where we are.

Heavily criticised from all directions during the early part of the world cup in 1982, the Italians under the late, great Enzo , said nothing, regained their form, worked their socks off, and promptly won the tournament. At that point they said plenty.

So Lennon and the players (not Lawwell who says nothing anyway) should focus all energies on going on a winning tear, as frankly, nothing else will do vis-a-vis the 10 which, as we speak, is improbable.

  29. Mazzy 9.39am

    1982 … Italian team

Paolo Rossi … should he have been allowed to play ?

Funny how you hold that team in high esteem …. I was only 12 but seem to remember Rossi should have been banned … although I did love Tardelli a poor mans Paul McStay (that’s only a wee joke for any of our Italian supporters:-)

  30. GFTB

Yeah, there was alot of controversy surrounding Rossi at that time. He was in the travelling party in September 1981 when Juventus visited CP. He was banned at that time but I recall seeing him outside the ground. Top class striker, though, but my favourite of that era was Roberto Bettega. An incredibly intelligent player with exquisite skill. Recall Tom McAdam after the game commenting on the concentration levels needed to try and mark him, but also how well he conducted himself during the match itself. Their defence had that tuffie, Gentile, but also the classy Gaetano Scirea, who tragically lost his life in 1989.

  31. MAZZY,

Why are you calling him”Lennon”.Just as easy to write Lenny,Neil.Total disrespect to a Celtic legend.Just a smidgen above Hun blogs. No wonder people crack up on here.

  32. FAIRHILLBHOY,

Well said.In the words of the immortal Private Jones”They don’t like it up em,sir, they don’t like it up em”.
