Ticketus secure their £40m of tickets

1467

None of you will be surprised at today’s opinion from the Court of Session in Edinburgh that Rangers’ deal with Ticketus cannot be set aside, despite some absolutely pitiful reporting to the contrary.  It’s fine to get things wrong every now and then, we all get Duff information on occasion, but please….

It’s worth recording, Ticketus may only have paid £20m + vat but the tickets they own are worth in the region of £40m. High risk investments require a high return.

Rangers’ administrators argued that the deal inhibited their ability to rescue the company but the heroic Blue Knights submitted a bid accommodating Ticketus, undermining the administrators’ argument. If only the Blue Knights were in a position to strike a deal with Craig Whyte they could be regarded as helping the situation instead of being hapless fools.

Next up is HMRC, who have not capitulated and agreed to accept a few pennies in the pound.  They have not agreed to accept anything less than all monies owed.  Soon after that we will hear that no court has been able to set aside Craig Whyte’s security over Ibrox.  The most underappreciated man no longer in Scotland remains the only person with a reasonable chance of phoenix-ing Rangers.

The first 26,000 (approx.) tickets sold to each Rangers game for the next three years are owned by Ticketus.  In the event a phoenix occurs, Rangers will have to revert back to budgets from their glory days of the 1950s – we will soon be told this is a great omen.

If you are going to Ibrox on Sunday, take care and enjoy your visit.  Take photographs of the occasion and send them in, we’ll perhaps use them on a future edition of CQN Magazine.  It may prove to be the end of an era.

If you’ve not read the article below, about one of Jinky’s great performances, do so now.

Issue 7 of CQN Magazine is out now! Go to the dedicated magazine site here to read it properly (which you’ll not be able to do below).

  1. It is times like these that my mind goes back ……..

Trying to exit Hampden (North Stand side) having beaten them and then being bombarded by bottles, bricks and whatever came to hand.

The police lined up facing the direction of our supporters whilst the missiles rained over them towards us.

I will be miles away in the sunny Med and I will be hoping that all get home safely but I suspect that some will not.

I hope that we score a handful early on and that they scuttle away.

  11. A word on tomorrow.

Clinching the league or not, should we win tomorrow I will be as happy, or even happier than any other Tim.

However, as I posted earlier I will settle for a quiet injury and red card free draw.

I would ask anyone accusing me of negativity and being the voice of doom, to answer the following question with hand on heart honesty.

If at half time at Kilmarnock on 15th October, I had told you that come the 25th of March, a draw would suffice to see us come out of Ibrox with an eleven point lead in the SPL, what would your response have been?

    Now answer honestly.

Don’t forget, for those who want to, tomorrow is unlikely to be the last time this year that they will have ample opportunity to gloat.

Hello Palacio67, I look forward to hjaving a wee chat with a fellow Portonian sometime. Cheers

Well the big game tomorrow is drawing ever closer if Hooper and Forrest are .in the least bit doubtfull due to injury imo they should not be risked.I also wouldnt play Kelvin Wilson but Lennie picks the team and has his faveroutes.I think to win the game we need to win the battle first there is no doubt Rangers will be up for it and will not care who they hurt Celtic must be ready to take it and to dish it out.I would say to all the Celtic fans who are going to the game be carefull the orcs are hurting and are dangerous stick together and dont get isolated going to the match and coming back from it stick together. H.H.

  15. I don’t know all the technicalities relevant to your post.

However, if what you say is about accounts and agm’s is accurate, it simply means that Whyte, for whatever reason had no intention other than running THEM into the ground.

  19. Hail hail cqn

Yet again duff & duffer have been dealt another blow in court by lord hodge.

And still another judgement on the collyer bristow cash to be decided.

While this whole saga at RFC(IA) has been a strange way to conduct their administration by duff & duffer.

What would the chance of them going for liquidation next week ?

    The Lord Clyde?

    Nae,nae and thrice nae!!!

It is a bar which is Irish themed but do yourself a favour, jump on a Keighley bus,the 662 from the station or on sunbridge road, they run every 30 mins.

Stay on the Ticketbus until journeys end at keighley station, the journey should take 30 mins.

Get off at Keighley bus station,go out the top entrance, you will be able to decipher this due to the sloping nature of the station.

Walk up to North street (few seconds),turn left and look across the road, you will see an Italian restaraunt bang on the corner of North street and Russell Street.

Cross the road and walk up the left hand side of Russell Street, half way up you will see a blue n white sign saying ‘Engineers Club’.

There will probably be Bhoys n Ghirls outside, come in and see us,were the Keighley CSC and we’ll be mobbed.

If your early the Bhoys will be in Wetherspoons which is back along North Street in the opposite direction.

Forget Bradford and the Clyde,no atmosphere in any of them, for a half hour/40 min local bus journey you would be mad not to.

    Hope you make it.

He may be a bit of a chancer. However, unless he is very lucky, Whyte did not make even modest amounts of money in business without knowing the consequences of failing to post audited accounts or simply refusing to hold agm’s.

  22. crisis, i have run out of clothes pegs, and got full load from the machine to hang up.
