Motherwell travel to Celtic Park tomorrow on a mission. A win would see them draw level with Celtic, and after a physically and mentally draining Champions League midweek game, they will fancy their chances. Inverness remain top of the league on goal difference, but this is the third consecutive season Motherwell have tucked in below Celtic. They will not finish above Celtic, of course, but this is likely to be our toughest test of the season.
As well as the result, there should be other objectives from tomorrow’s game. We are eight games into our European campaign but our two most expensive summer signings, Teemu Pukki and Derk Boerrigter, and still to settle into the team. Both should start against Motherwell.

I started supporting Celtic in the 60’s pre-Jock Stein. I left the UK in 1981 and since Celtic TV did not arrive until much later, I have a gap in my Celtic knowledge. I saw both Cadete and McStay play but only rarely —my loss.
So I cannot really say if these guys would be the answer. Cadete certainly scored a lot of goals, but I get the feeling he was a troubled soul. McStay — I cannot comment upon. Certainly, we need more creativity in the team. Whether this comes from the middle of the park or the flanks, I do not care. Pirlo would be ideal, but someone more affordable like Nakamura would do.
Swansea seem to have been smart in the market with the bargain known as Michu, who is both a scorer and creative.
May be one of the young guys will come through in a couple of years?

You are one of the best posters on here, I consider anything I am told is wrong until I look into it, I think being a Celtic supporter makes you question things. Today I heard there was another shooter in US in Washington. There wasn’t a shooter, however there was a woman in a car with a kid and she had mental problems. The solution was to shoot her. Well some may agree with that, I don’t, however have a wee look at US news and the police and politicians are praising the way the situation was dealt with and backslapping and praising the bravery. Where was the threat, an unarmed woman and a kid in a car.

Now, I am a kinda spur of the moment kind of guy but here is something that is going to require a wee bit of forward thinking.
I have been talking to Paul67 and a few others about the idea of a 10th Anniversary CQN charity dinner.
Yup, next year, CQN will be 10 years old and we want to mark the occasion and at the same time have some fun and raise some money for charity including the 1254125 fund.
So, to start will I am looking for suggestions for a venue ( yes there will be some odd and funny suggestions ) but in between those we need to seriously find a suitable location.
Thus far, the criteria we have looked at is somewhere in Glasgow ( probably city centre ) which can hold between 200-400 people and which will provide food and a bar.
I have deliberately shied away from the larger hotels as their bar prices are very hefty and would not be to everyone’s budget.
We want to find somewhere that is suitable for as many CQN’ers as possible, where we can have speakers, maybe some music, an auction or raffle and anything else that springs to mind.
Dates? Well we are definitely looking into next year sometime– maybe between February and May. This gives us time to do some organising, arrange guests, speakers if desired and so on and so forth.
So, if anyone has any ideas then please let me know.
