Time for expensive signings, the 1254125 10k

1606

Motherwell travel to Celtic Park tomorrow on a mission.  A win would see them draw level with Celtic, and after a physically and mentally draining Champions League midweek game, they will fancy their chances.  Inverness remain top of the league on goal difference, but this is the third consecutive season Motherwell have tucked in below Celtic.  They will not finish above Celtic, of course, but this is likely to be our toughest test of the season.

As well as the result, there should be other objectives from tomorrow’s game.  We are eight games into our European campaign but our two most expensive summer signings, Teemu Pukki and Derk Boerrigter, and still to settle into the team.  Both should start against Motherwell.

For reasons you know too well, I thought it would be a good idea to do the Great Scottish Run on Sunday in aid of 1254125.  I have (just) setup a Mydonate page, if you have been unable to participate in any event so far, you can do so online now.

Many thanks for your support.

I found this on KDS, no idea if it’s true, but no reason to doubt it.

A poster on Hearts kickback says Sevco accounts don’t include 2m pay off to players (Boca, Goian..) and 1.8m owed to HMRC. Another 4m of that mythical 11m that has already lost 5m in costs since June. I make that £2m left. Countdown to extinction is hotting up!

At the end of the day, they have to keep up the sham, I honestly don’t know what the outcome will be, but what I do know, it won’t be good news for rabearz.

The universities are good value for events like that.

Catering is decent and bars are relatively inexpensive.

I know of several CQNers who were Presidents at GUU and QM, and I was at various Celtic events in both venues which were well run.

Hopefully when the financial bubble bursts, the level playng field will be introduced and then we’ll see.

We just need to be patient…

Not easy, but it will come.

    Not overly disappointed.

BRTH – I think you would only get 400 if you included wives/husbands/partners and the Kerrydale can certainly accommodate those numbers. Floor plans can be worked out with Celtic staff.

Anything below 300, then you might be better off looking at a city centre venue.

Anyways, he couldn’t believe how bias the ref was towards Barca, I suppose until we are playing in a proper euro league, we will always be discriminiated against.

If you want a cheap venue how about this?

The popular “Party for £1” promotion runs for parties from January through to November. That special celebration is even more affordable as room hire is reduced to just £1, providing you cater for all of your guests (minimum 70 guests on a three item finger buffet). So if you have a party to plan, book it at Ibrox and have a night to remember!

Choose the Thornton, Cooper or Members Lounge in the Main Stand if you have 50 up to 120 guests and want to enjoy the grand marble entrance and history the Main Stand offers. For 120-180 guests, the panoramic Ibrox Suite, located in the Govan Stand and with its own entrance, is a fantastic size and can hold a large dance floor with round tables for up to 180.

We strive to work with every idea and budget and can help you with:

Planning the perfect surprise (We could reverse this idea by taking the European Cup along to surprise the hosts)

Finger, fork or canapé buffet (would prefer steakbakes but we understand that they may have been consumed prior to our arival)

Arrival drinks receptions (Chateau neuf du Pape 67)

Coloured linens and napery (ok – if we can negotiate the colours)

Room decoration and theming (a Gold star event, obviously)

    Personalised/Rangers branded cake (maybe not)

Entertainment ( we can teach the entertainer some new songs)

    Trackside photos (could be interesting)

Awe – go on. They need the £1

Briggait 1873 – Next door to “Paddys Market” no less.

Would involve a bit more in terms of bringing in caterer and bar. But would enable costs to be controlled.

I haven some spare time these days if you need a hand.
