Tomorrow Celtic have a Scottish Cup tie away to Peterhead, currently second bottom of the Third Division. Peterhead have recorded their only two home wins of the season in the last two weeks, so Celtic’s scouts will have seen them at their best, but the break from league action will allow Neil Lennon to rest players who have been carrying niggling injuries, including James Forrest, whose terrific form could be jeopardised by the stresses of carrying such a prominent responsibility for Celtic.
The game in Peterhead will also give fringe players an opportunity to shine. I suspect Paddy McCourt is still carrying the can for hitting the post against St Johnstone in August, the day it all started to go wrong. We’ve missed him. Emilio Izaguirre and Kelvin Wilson would also benefit from 90 minutes football as the squad reassembles itself, although the game might come too soon for Kris Commons.
News that Beram Kayal’s injury is likely to keep him out of action for four months was sickening. This is the third serious injury Beram has suffered since joining Celtic 18 months ago. I read a bit about grade 3 eversion ankle sprains yesterday. He’ll need the best treatment and recuperation in the days and months to come.

Yes live on air

Healy misses another sitter/
Any of you guys getting upset by Jim McInally’s comments ever met the guy?
David Healey is rubbish
Have Rangers players been instructed to play for the much-needed replay?
Good grief,I thought Healy was the best finisher in the game.
I mean,it was a former international and EPL manager who said so!
Two sitters,hoping for more.

Arbroath almost scored with a volley but the vile one in goal saved it.
best finisher in scottish football scuffs an open goal shot.
The Cup is the Pantomime run for scottish fitba.
Jim’s comments are part of a tired old script.
“Oh yes they are……….”
David “deadly” Healy, ho ho ho..
THM,
I’m looking forward to that too, I’m not trying to kill debate, but your argument that TET is doing the meejas job because he has doubts about the integrity of the plc does attempt to kill the debate.
There is more than enough evidence to request an inquiry,
The current EBT and the previous ‘small tax case’ are proof of dereliction of duty, the fact that both these cases are long running is all the city police need, this is fraud at the corporate level.
Any action the plc have taken has been forced by supporter pressure.
Hardly the actions of a concerned plc is it ?
…….both sides evenly matched!
My, my – they are truly awful.

I feel for you, never a good day when the hun are in town.

Why is that good advice for me, the FTT has nothing to do with the hun furnishing the sfa with false information.
They have been operating an EBT scheme that is a fact, they had to furnish the players with a side letter, that is another fact, even wee Dawell admitted he had seen said side letters, it’s how EBT’s work, they were getting paid from an outside agency, which is against the rules of the sfa and uefa.
They commited a fraud, and received a euro licence on the back of this fraud, and our board must have know about this.
masty….
…..but if he said that, I stand by my statement.
One of the best posts i’ve seen to RTC by John.

There is an interesting trend developing here. We are starting to be afraid of the ‘ghost’ of Rangers.
If Rangers go bust and close down, Rangers will be extinct, dead, an ex-football club. It will have been punished by being killed off.
Any new company will be just that, a new company starting in a very difficult market place.
I don’t think it should have any special hurdles placed in its way but it definitely should not be given any favours. It should simply be treated in the same way as any other business.
Doing anything other than that, either positive or negative, would, I think, only serve to give credence to the notion that Rangers lives on.
To my mind, if anything should be stressed it should be that Rangers no longer exist. Any new club will have nothing to do with Rangers. It will have no history, no tradition, no fan base.
If supporters of the dead Rangers choose to follow this new club that will be entirely up to them, but the rest of football and supporters of every other club should remind them, when necessary, that the club they USED to follow has gone.
When viewed in this way, there really is no argument that would support a newco being admitted to the SPL or, for that matter, any other professional football league unless it could fully meet the stipulations of membership, including waiting in a queue to start at the bottom.
to put it simply, if we all got together next week and formed Rangerstaxcase FC we should have exactly the same chance of league membership as any other club that may appear after Rangers have gone.
right thats off now, away to watch the mancs.
re the Hun game it’s a must draw game for them :>)
